Online jihadist forums teach how to manufacture poisons, weapons, and explosives

And note the quotations from the Qur'an and ahadith which they offer to justify and encourage those activities. For associating violence with Islam, they must be a real bunch of Islamophobes, right?

"Islamist Forums Teach Mujahideen How to Manufacture and Use Explosives, Weapons, and Poisons," by D. Nagy for MEMRI, May 8:

In recent years jhihadist organizations have been using the Internet for purposes of indoctrination, propaganda, recruitment and maintaining morale among the mujahideen. In addition, Internet forums provide venues not only for sharing views, but for exchanging information that serves the operative needs of the mujahideen, such as guidance in guerilla warfare techniques, and information on manufacturing and using explosives, weapons, and poisons.
Such information is often posted in special Al-'Udda Wal-I'dad (Equipment and Preparation)( [1] ) sections of numerous jihadist forums, including Shabakat Al-Firdaws Al-Jihadiyya (www.al-firdaws.org ),( [2] ) Shabakat Al-Ma'arik Al-Salafiyya (www.m3ark.com ),( [3] ) Shabakat Al-Mujahideen Al-Elektroniyya (www.majahden.com ),( [4] ) Shabakat Shumoukh Al-Islam (www.shmo5alislam.net ),( [5] ) Minbar Al-Battar Al-I'lami (www.albatar.1talk.net ),( [6] ) Mawqi' Al-Muhajir Al-Islami (www.asia.geocities.com/mohajerlb ),( [7] ) and others.( [8] )

It is worth noting that #4 is registered through GoDaddy.com, and as of 10pm PDT, is still available, as is the Geocities page (omit the "www" from the URL).

In addition to postings dealing with weapons and warfare, Al-'Udda Wal-'Idad sections also include messages on a wide range of other topics relevant to terrorist activity, from forging documents to techniques for withstanding interrogation. Most of the material is translated into Arabic from non-Arabic sources It should be noted that Islamist sites without an Al-'Udda Wal-I'dad section also present military information of this type, on other sections of their sites.
The following message, posted on Al-Firdaws by a member calling himself Al-Battar, shows the importance forum members attribute to the content on the Al-'Udda Wal-I'dad sections: "...Looking through several threads on this forum and on others, I discovered that the young [members] write about various topics without knowing anything [about them]... [So] it is your sacred duty to convey [information about] them to our brothers the mujahideen...
"[The Koran says:] 'And prepare against them what force you can and horses harnessed for battle, to strike terror into [the hearts of] the enemies of Allah and your enemies and others besides them, whom you do not know (but) Allah knows them [Koran 8:60].'
"Allah's Messenger, peace and prayers be upon him, interpreted the word 'force' in this verse to mean 'shooting'... So 'force' refers to shooting (arrows, catapults, guns, pistols, cannon, or rockets of various types). Of all these weapons, we [should] use the ones that inspire the most fear, as mentioned in the verse. In other words, if today there are advanced weapons, which cause more damage [than the weapons of the Prophet's day], we [must] be prepared to obtain and [use] them, even if the only way to obtain them is to learn how to make them [ourselves]...

A far cry from "Better Living Through Chemistry."

Note that the Quran verse cited by one of these jihadis - "[The Koran says:] 'And prepare against them what force you can and horses harnessed for battle, to strike terror into [the hearts of] the enemies of Allah and your enemies and others besides them, whom you do not know (but) Allah knows them [Koran 8:60]' is the Quran verse used at the opening of 'Fitna'.

These sites should be closed down the same day they appear.

What is government security for if not to stop the e-propaganda wing of the Jihad?

Hack them down like rotten trees.

Before they fall on us.

What I do not comprehend is that our governments and intelligence services do not take action simply to shut these places down.

Technically, it's dead easy:

A private guy made an effort last year, simply by complaining to their Internet providers, and got about 40 of them taken down. If relevant institutions do this in a systematic fashion, the phenomenon can be uprooted from the Internet very effectively.

I reported Jihad Unspun to the relevant authorities. Nothing happened.

I think we should at least try to tear apart the infrastructure of our enemy.

what we need are some black hat hackers to take down the jihadist web sites we are at war and should attack

Once a provider has been notified that it is hosting a website identified as a source of jihad propaganda providing explicit instructions for weaponizing the jihad, and that provider does not respond, it should be held accountable as an accomplice.

Perhaps it is time this effort becomes very organized and the e-mails notifying said providers are cc'd or bcc'd to a e-account or posted to a website dedicated to listing suspect websites, where comments can document such notifications for posterity.

If the providers refuse to co-operate in the war on terror, shut them down as well.

I agree with profitsbeard. They want to play hardball, let's play hardball.

Maybe some infidels with high-end computer skills should aim them at the most likely target, center of mass, and squeeze the trigger... figuratively speaking, of course.

If all we're going to do is bitch about it, then we have no right to complain if they win. We just get to mumble and shuffle, rather than roar and charge.

L'audace, l'audace, toujours l'audace.

I write a blog built on this premise... but I always return here to DarthSpencer and the mothership.

Carry on. I'll be in the area all day.

They are not shut down immediately because they will trace those who visit such a site.
I would like to know if some nice moslem Dr. down the street is visiting such a site.

OT:
Pierre Rehov's 78 minute film "Suicide Killers" is available on Google video

Stunning documentary about the mindless suicide terrorists of Palestine. Many of the failed terrorists interviewed seem to be mainly motivated by unsubstantiated promises of 72 virgins and guarenteed acces of the same number of family members in paradise. At the same time the film clearly indicates that the struggle against Israel is in essence a religious obligation to wipe out the jews, not a fight for freedom

How ironic that the West invents the Internet (of course), and the Mohammedans are using it to take us down. Shouldn't they feel some shame in using an invention of the filthy kuffar?

If jihad sites are hacked by infidels and thereby shut-down, and then the jihadist puts up another site to replace the downed one, then the FBI, if they were monitoring the first site, will be able to follow the trail to the second site.

If the site was rebuilt after being 'hacked' down , the resurrection, as it were, would help do things...

1. Assist in the getting search and arrest warrants for the jihadists and all their stuff.

2. Prove by the nexus from the downed site to the new site that the jihadists were running a jihadi promotion/training site, making it impossible for the jihadists to claim they were just passing time on the Internet, involved in an intentional pattern of nefarious conduct as opposed to just an annoying hobby.

It is really sick. Islam is sick and those who follow it...well their actions and words are those of lunatics. Madmen. Rather general but true, because the so called peaceful Muslims will do nothing to stop it. Therefore, they are as lunatics as those who carryout these actions in the name of Allah and Islam. Will there be a day the Earth and humanity is free from this madness called Islam? I hope so...soon!

Posted by: savsiv [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 8, 2008 11:00 AM

As long as we call it madness, lunacy, we will continue to act as though it's an illness that can be treated.

It can't be treated.

It must be defeated.
