The world should be standing for a Free Lebanon, in which Lebanese Christians can live in peace without being terrorized by Hizballah or any other jihadists, and should understand that this initiative by Iran and Hizballah is just another part of the global jihad. But don't hold your breath. "'Iran backs Hizbollah fighters in Lebanon,'" by Adam Pletts in Beirut and Damien McElroy in the Telegraph, May 10 (thanks to all who sent this in):
Israel has claimed that Iran was behind the terror group Hizbollah's armed struggle with the Lebanese government and warned that the conflict could spill into a wider Middle East crisis.Hizbollah fighters spread virtually unopposed across west Beirut districts loyal to the pro-Western government.
After a night of firefights, the mainly Sunni Muslim residents of the capital's west woke to find Shia Hizbollah fighters patrolling the streets.
The main compounds of country's two senior political leaders were besieged in a dramatic demonstration of the shift in power. [...]
"The armed and bloody coup which is being implemented aims to return Syria to Lebanon and extend Iran's reach to the Mediterranean," said Samir Geagea, the Christian faction leader.
International condemnation of Hizbollah focused on the potential for the crisis to spill across the borders.
Shimon Peres, the Israeli president, pointed to Hizbollah's links with Iran's Islamic regime.
He said: "It is a new chapter of the battle led by Iran to control all of the Middle East."...

This passes for news? Hasn't Iran backed Hizbullah for 20+ years through Syrian proxies?

Once Iran places those better missiles in Lebanon, things will begin to move quickly.
It will be virtually impossible to stop a missile whose time from launch to impact is about a minute and a half.
there is a dark cloud on the horizon.

Let's not forget about Iranian strongholds in Iraq, in addition to the others.

We need to confront these proxies at the time and place of our choosing. Each individually with whatever local support we can muster.
Like Sadar's current terms seeking reprieve from the box he is in. Now is not the time to cave. Push their disarming to its limit. Handing Iran a defeat we can be proud of.
Neutralizing these threats individually would keep Iran off balance and prevents them from using them all at once against us.
Despite Iran's reported ability to project itself across the Globe. It has no strategic depth to sustain itself for more than a brief period. Any open military action by Iran resulting from our dealing with his proxies will remove any pretext of needing kid gloves. Subjecting Iran to direct Military assault. A fight they cannot win with forces covering 3 fronts of their territory.
Iran's Proxies do not have the ability to confront a conventional Western Army and its ability apply force.
We have the means to do the Job and support our "friends". It is the will that seems to be lacking. Of which, the Alphabet Media is of no help in accomplishing.
