New York Times presents Islamic supremacist as moderate non-zealot

Ardekani.jpg
Altered Face? Really?

The New York Times, true to the New Duranty Times moniker Hugh Fitzgerald has given it, has run a gushing profile of Ali Ardekani, the young Muslim filmmaker who made "Who Hijacked Islam?," (linked in the picture above) among other shorts designed to stir up righteous indignation against the venomous Islamophobes who misrepresent Islam as anything other than a Religion of Peace. "Who Hijacked Islam?," as you can see, is a herky-jerky, hectoring, eye-rubbing affair, but it has been wildly popular -- and now the Times has anointed Ardekani as the alternative to the "bloodthirsty zealots" and defensive bowers-and-scrapers who supposedly dominate the public image of Islam in the West. (Which of those two categories do high-profile, ubiquitous Muslim spokesmen such as Ibrahim Hooper and Edina Lekovic fit into? But I digress.)

Anyway, there is just one problem, as The Posthumous Luger has pointed out: Ardekani is not quite the benign Bill Cosby figure that Neil MacFarquhar and the Duranty Times suggest that he is. Instead, he appears to be an avowed Islamic supremacist, at least from the evidence of lyrics from the album 1924 by the now-disbanded rap group Soldiers of Allah. The name "1924" refers, of course, to the year the secular Turkish government abolished the caliphate, which is to modern jihadists the year all their troubles began, when the unity of the umma was broken. The group was founded by Ardekani and was connected to the jihadist group Hizb-ut-Tahrir. Some samples of the lyrics:

Standing together Kafirs worst nightmare Muslim united And not scared Following only Qur'an & and the Sunnah an Ummah who loves Allah More than this dunnyah

BRING BACK ISLAM
BRING BACK THE STATE

Put Khilafah back on the MAP
ITS TIME TO BRING ISLAM BACK

Even if all the kafirs got together...
They still couldn’t stop this Ummah!
We love Islam More than we love life

No more kufur system to be run
All of these belong to one land
Part of once mighty Islamic span
More than 52 nations we fall
One nation strong we stand tall
Waiting for the Ummah’s call
Once again and for all
Reestablish Islam to rule all

over a billion
But oh so weak
We need to rise up
And get back on our feet
We’ve been fooled too long
This what happens
When we let kafirs lead

The giant is in a slumber
Islam is complete
yet the Ummah looks up
to democracy for its needs

Defeated mentality
Left us in a gutter
The giant used to
Take care of the world
Now asks the kafirs to usher
Remember the battle of Bader [sic]
They doubted us from the start
Muslims had Islam
In their minds and their hearts
They know they fear us
Injecting poisons venom
so they tear us a part
This is just a reminder
Take it straight to the heart
Let us get back in the lead
Shake the giant to wake
Flourish and rejuvenate
Implement only Islam
to revive and renovate

An Ummah
who use to lead this world
Is now begging the kafir please
Have mercy
Can't you see?
They want us to Act like them
think like them and be like them
But we act based on Islam
Like Allah declared in the Quran
Because we know
Who is in command
Islam will have the upper hand

Huu…I thought we were one UMMAH
Look at us Now…

Jordan Arabia Iran
Egypt Indonesia Sudan
Tunisia Algeria Amman
Iraq Kashmir Philistine
Albania Bosnia Kurdistan
Spain Half France Hindustan
of
Somalia Lebanon Azerbaijan
Melesia Libya Kazakhstan
Bangladesh Chechnia Afghanistan
Turkey Cypress Pakistan
Kuwait .. Ch...explosion……..

Educate our minds with Islam
And Inshallah his disease of nationalism
Will disappear

NSA government agents
Classified information
Planning out their step by step covert operations
Working for the elite
duponts, rockefellers, and masons
Replaced our Muslim leaders
With U.S. and British Agents
Throwing the ones who call for revival of Islam
In prison cages
A hidden agenda with their affiliation
Occupying our land
with their false peace relations
Muslim land is under invasion
Using their puppets to cause deviation
Under FBI covert operations
Ummah has been segregated and separated
While our lands have been raided
By UN peacekeepers
Who are really peace-fakers
And mass-murderers and rapist
Too scared that Islam will be implemented
So they blow up buildings and blame us

Causing false accusations
Claiming we’re dangerous
Insha-Allah when the state is established
They won’t be able to tame us

Peace in the Middle East
Never was
And never will be
Until kufur regimes slap their head on the ground bowing down to Allah

The best nation ever to rise up from mankind [cf. Qur'an 3:110]
With political minds
Peacekeepers of old times
Politics, meant taking care of the people,
When Islam comes back to dominate, no sequels!

But you'll see none of this, of course, in the Times article: "Young Video Makers Try to Alter Islam’s Face," by Neil MacFarquhar in the New York Times, May 8 (thanks to The Posthumous Luger):

LOS ANGELES — When Ali Ardekani started fishing around on the Internet a couple of years ago for video blogs about Muslims, he did not like what he found: either the world’s 1.3 billion Muslims were depicted as bloodthirsty zealots, or they were offering defensive explanations as to why they were not.

“Arabic sounds foreign and scary — you don’t know what is going on,” Mr. Ardekani said in an interview at his small Sherman Oaks apartment, its walls decorated with Koranic verses. “Or they show a woman with the veil, who doesn’t speak, and it is assumed if she did speak she would say, ‘Help me!’ ”

So Mr. Ardekani, a 33-year-old Web designer, cast himself on his video blogs as Baba Ali, an outsize character with a serious religious message who both dissects and lampoons the lives of American Muslims.

Mr. Ardekani is among the most visible of a new wave of young American Muslim performers and filmmakers trying to change the public face of their religion. His most popular video posting — “Who Hijacked Islam?” — has garnered more than 350,000 hits on YouTube since July 2006. Of course the uphill battle such efforts face is reflected in the comments section. One viewer remarked darkly, “It’s Muslims that do the hijacking.”

The person who wrote that was a fool! As Neil MacFarquhar and all right-thinking people know, it's venomous Islamophobes, not Muslims, who link Islam with violence! Venomous Islamophobes like bin Laden, al-Zawahri, Omar Bakri, Abu Bakar Bashir, etc. etc. etc.!

These video pioneers’ arena of choice is mostly YouTube and similar Web sites, which young Muslims extol as a new way to take their arguments public. The role model is Bill Cosby, who young Muslim filmmakers believe changed the perception of African-Americans by depicting them as ordinary.

For the moment, the filmmakers suspect, most of the hits they attract are generated by other young Muslims.

“They are deprived of any type of representation in the media which isn’t a terrorist or an extremely pious Muslim,” said Lena Khan, 23. So whenever an image to the contrary is seen “on YouTube or the Internet or on a TV show, it just spreads across the Muslim community like wildfire, because everyone wants to support it.”...

Neil MacFarquhar is a dhimmi who can't even spell journalist. Where is the research? He is just a PR agent for this jihadist.
How is it that a multi-billion dollar company like the NY Times not have found these lyrics, but a pajamas media guy did? Was this willful deceit? Ideological blinders? Is the NY Times under a death threat? On the take? Aside from the travel section (usually), it is just a 5 lb. brick of paper ads. Worthless.

Good God! When exactly did the West get it's lobotomy concerning Islam???

*

OT: As some may know on this site, me and my husband have had several close-encounters with Mohammedans due to my "DEFEAT JIHAD/JihadWatch.org" bumper sticker. Well, here's another close-encounter from this morning:

Hubby has taken my vehicle again on the Interstate early this morning for a meeting in a city about 2 hours away. OK. So, he just called. While on the Interstate, a Middle-Eastern guy pulled up alongside him and honked his horn. K (husband) looked over to see Middle-Eastern guy shooting him the bird and shaking his fist at him!

SHOOTING HIM THE BIRD AND SHAKING HIS FIST AT HIM! And, mouthing "F- You." Now, some JW's might remember that I've gotten the bird too from a Mohammedan while driving. But I haven't gotten the shaking fist or the mouthed profanity. I suppose those will happen at some point.

I asked K how he responded. He said he just looked away and kept driving until the Mohammedan sped off.

What would I have done? I'm not sure. I did shoot the bird back to the Mohammedan who shot it at me (close-encounter event of about 3 months ago). But this one, this Mohammedan this morning, seems a tad more crazed and dangerous, esp. concerning the fist-shaking.

If I may inquire, can other JW's offer me their input on what their reaction would be? Many thanks.

"“They are deprived of any type of representation in the media which isn’t a terrorist or an extremely pious Muslim,” said Lena Khan, 23. "

apparently this Lena Khan does not read the reports or watch the news which shows Muslim representations across the globe. THe reports would show that Muslim nations do not contribute to the aid and comfort of those countries devastated by earthquates or storms (most recently Myanmar), Lena Khan would learn that in Muslim Countries the children are taught how to kill or be killed instead of how to farm or cure diseases. Lena Khan may not have noticed the Muslim representations in western nations when they try to force the ways of Islam upon the cultures of the host countries such as the demands for footbaths in places that never had them, the demands for special priviledges for Muslims (other people of other religions have no problems with adapting to the culture of the host countries, while maintaining their individual religious cultures alive and well without forcing their beliefs upon the host countries). Lena Khan may not have noticed that the history books that western countries used have now been altered to remove the violent history of Islam and to show a much milder form of Islamic history. Maybe Lena Khan has not noticed that whenever Muslims gather it is usually a violent protest or riot. Maybe Lena Khan has not noticed that when Muslims immigrate to western nations they tend to take over certain areas enmasse and develope these areas into Muslim ghettos where Non Muslims are unwelcome. The crime rate begins to soar when the Muslims move in, the intimadations begin, the fear of Muslims is endorsed by the Muslims, and the people begin to realize all those stories about how violent Islam is appear to be true.

Other than Muslim terrorists or extremely pious Muslims what type of Muslim representation can Lena Khan see? She could see the numerous organizations that covertly or even not so covertly support and finance the numerous terrorist organizations such as Hamas or al_Qaeda. She could see blatant displays of public intimidation such as the Flying Imams incident where the Muslim Clerics board a commercial plane and begin behaving in such a way as to terrify the passengers. She could see the blatant and forceful ways Muslims just take over shared places such as when the Muslims took over the taxicab company break room and turned it into a mini Mosque, Muslims are taking over many such places that once were commonly used by many people --once the area is turned into a mini mosque the former users of the facility who are Non Muslim are no longer welcome. Lena Khan will see the intended Muslim representation is exactly as the Muslims want it to be..
It is becoming clearer and clearer that the lives of the Muslim family is endowed with Islamic fear. The fear of death if you talk to a NonMuslim, the fear of death if you do not dress as a Muslim, the fear of death if you date a Non Muslim, the fear of death if you listen to Non MUslim religious figure, the fear of death ....always the fear of death...and it is from your own family not from the dreaded infidels.

COuld Lena Khan provide some other Muslim represention examples of some activity that Muslim openly do that allow participation of nonMuslims without fear? Can she provide copies of some wellknown Muslim speeches in which the speaker is actually trying to influence the violent Muslims to stop killing or one which shows the effort to stop the constant Muslim encroachment and destruction of the western cultures.

Has Lena Khan stopped to realize that all those violent Muslim YouTube videos are popular because it is exactly the type of representation that the Islamic clerics endorse.

Islam is being portrayed as violent because that is the way the Islamic clerics want it to be.

Can Lena Khan even go to a Mosque and kneel besided her husband or boyfriend and pray together? Why do Muslim men and women have to pray in separate rooms? probably because the sermon the males receive is quite different that the ones the females receive. one sermon for master and one for slave.

Lena Khan has some homework to do.

I see an Apple sold in a store I refuse to shop in. The quality of their product leaves a great deal to be desired.

This Apple seems to want to blame the Branch he was grown on rather than the Tree the Farmer planted. Little does he know that the Farmer is very happy with his Tree.

Dear JWs,
I have had the pleasure of "debating" Ali on Metacafe. I found that when pressed, he resorts to the usual ad hominem (sic) attacks and eventually disappears. I made it a point of responding to each and every posting he made, shadowing him in effect and pointing readers to JW for further info. I kept it polite, in the face of adversity. I was informed that he was banned from youtube, though this may have been wishful thinking on behalf of the correspondent. Ali is a hollow suit, who has trouble justifying his positions without using dismissive arguments and insinuations. I've not had the pleasure of seeing any recent posts, and I do look for him (at least on Metacafe). Please say hello to him, and tell him I look forward to refuting his points real soon.

"Neil MacFarquhar..."

Here's a little more on Neil MacFarquhar from a site that monitors The New Duranty Times:

Imams on a Plane: NY Times' Neil MacFarquhar's Grossly Misleading Review
By Clay Waters

Pro-Muslim New York Times reporter [1]Neil MacFarquhar covers [2]the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's attempt at a Muslim sitcom, "Little Mosque on the Prairie," and manages to get what he considers a sad example of life imitating art almost totally wrong.

"The handsome, clean-cut young man of evidently Pakistani or Indian origin is standing in an airport line, gesticulating emphatically as he says into his cellphone, 'If Dad thinks that’s suicide, so be it,' adding after a pause, 'This is Allah’s plan for me.'

"As might be expected, a cop materializes almost instantly and drags the man off, telling him that his appointment in paradise will have to wait, even though the suicide he is referring to is of the career kind; he’s giving up the law to pursue a more spiritual occupation.

"The scene unrolls early in the pilot of a new Canadian comedy series called 'Little Mosque on the Prairie.'

"Yet that fictional moment is an all-too-possible occurrence, as witnessed when six imams were hauled off a US Airways plane in Minnesota in November after apparently spooking at least one fellow passenger by murmuring prayers that included the word Allah."

Wrong. Reporter MacFarquhar apparently couldn't be bothered to learn the basic facts of the imam case (admittedly those facts are thin on the ground in the mainstream media). It's bad enough that the story was ignored by the press -- but for MacFarquhar to omit all the pertinent details for the sake of pro-Muslim spin compounds the error.

The Washington Times [3]had the details MacFarquhar and the rest of the press ignored.

"Muslim religious leaders removed from a Minneapolis flight last week exhibited behavior associated with a security probe by terrorists and were not merely engaged in prayers, according to witnesses, police reports and aviation security officials.

"Witnesses said three of the imams were praying loudly in the concourse and repeatedly shouted 'Allah' when passengers were called for boarding US Airways Flight 300 to Phoenix.

"'I was suspicious by the way they were praying very loud,' the gate agent told the Minneapolis Police Department.

"Passengers and flight attendants told law-enforcement officials the imams switched from their assigned seats to a pattern associated with the September 11 terrorist attacks and also found in probes of U.S. security since the attacks -- two in the front row first-class, two in the middle of the plane on the exit aisle and two in the rear of the cabin.

"'That would alarm me,' said a federal air marshal who asked to remain anonymous. 'They now control all of the entry and exit routes to the plane.'"

Here's an article at JW, posted nearly four years ago, on the unsigned New York Times editorial on the murder of Theo van Gogh, a masterpiece of willful miscomprehension and sly mistatement:

"First, the title:

Deadly Hatreds in the Netherlands

Note: Hatreds, in the plural. You see, all sorts of people apparently "hate" other people, and everyone is to blame, and no one is guilty, and...

Second, the text:

"Something sad and terrible is happening in the Netherlands, long one of Europe's most tolerant, decent and multicultural societies....brazen murder...10-minute film...horrific violence that Msulim women can be subject to by family members in the name of religion."

Stop right there: "in the name of religion" implies that the connection is factitious, not really there. They do things, bad things, not because their religion clearly prompts them to do them. No, they do them misusing that religion, falsely, wrongly, "in the name of that religion."

A little further on:

"It's just been a little more than two years since a Dutch extremist shot Pim Fortuyn, a rising populist politician who portrayed Muslim immigration as a grave threat to the nation's traditions of tolerance."

"Portrayed" -- get that? He attempted to paint it, to depict it, as something it of course was not. There were many other verbs that might have used: Pim Fortuyn

"said that Muslim immigration was a grave threat" OR

"charged that Muslim immigration was a grave threat" OR

"warned that Muslim immigration was a grave threat" OR

my favorite,

"argued that Muslim immigration was a grave threat."

But the Times won't have it: Pim Fortuyn was a rabble-rouser (some "populist" he was, this cultivated and humorful man), and he "portrayed" something nice (Islam) in an unflattering light.

The Times then tells us that "urgent efforts are needed to better manage the cultural tensions perilously close to the surface of Dutch public life."

Stop right there. "Cultural" tensions? What "cultural" tensions would those be, pray tell? Are the native Dutch inflicting terrible damage on the Muslim immigrants who have taken over whole swaths of cities, and are attempting to undo Dutch society, Dutch political, economic, social, and intellectual arrangements? This is not a "clash of cultures" -- it is the workings out, in real life, of a belief-system whose elements can, if only the Times wanted to spare a reporter or two (what in god's name does it take to get them to take Islam seriously, and to stop repeating their mistakes with Duranty on the Soviet Union, and their sickening, and murderous, inattention from 1930 to 1945 to antisemitism and Hitler's war on the Jews? No shame, none, in the upper reaches of The New York Times. Secure in their own unassailable and unshakeable ignorance.)

There is only the "tension" that is created by an aggressively hostile belief-system -- hostile to all those who dare to say a word about that belief-system that does not consist of apologetics.

Finally, the Times assures its readers:

"The problem is not Muslim immigration [millions of intelligent Dutch people beg to differ] but a failure to plan for a smoother transition to a more diverse society."

Look, and look again, and think, and think again, about that last phrase:

"a failure to plan for a smoother transition to a more diverse society."

What does this mean? Does it mean that the Dutch should reconcile themselves to surrendering, in the first place, the right of free speech, including the right to make a movie called "Submission"? Is that part of the "smoother transition" to a more "diverse" society that of course we all want so much to achieve?

If that "diverse society" means accommodating murder on the streets of Amsterdam, oh New York Times editorialist, sorry -- no can do.

If it means refusing to study either the tenets of Islam, or the history of Muslim subjugation of non-Muslims, about which there are many studies, from what happened to the Hindus in India to the Zoroastrians in Persia, to the Greco-Buddhist civilization of Central Asia, to the Christians and Jews of Mesopotamia, Syria, Judea, North Africa, and Spain (the real Spain, not the Spain of Washington Irving or Maria Rosa Menocal's dreamy fantasies), that to is something some Dutch people, and many Americans, are simply unwilling to do.

The Times vision of a "more diverse society" ignores the fact that Muslims do not believe in, or want, or have anything but contempt and hatred for, a "diverse society." They want a society that is Muslim, from top to bottom. If they do not call for the immediate imposition of the Shari'a (and by the way, some do), if they do not all echo certain Muslim leaders, such as Jahjah in Belgium, for a total parallel society, governed by Muslim (i.e. shari'a) law within the lands of the Infidels, the Bilad al-kufr, that is only because -- for the moment -- they are not sufficiently numerous to impose their will. But if nothing is done, they will be.

Is it too much to ask the Editorial Board of the New York Times to study -- I will be happy to supply a reading list -- the history of Islam, and to familiarize itself thoroughly with what is contained in Qur'an, hadith, sira, and the major commentators? Is that really too much for them to bother with?

Oh, and if they can't bear to come to this website, would the editors of The Times be willing to talk with Ibn Warraq or Ali Sina or any number of highly intelligent ex-Muslims, who have written a good deal on what Islam teaches its Believers to believe, and why, as Ibn Warraq has shown, this Total Explanation of the Universe-cum-Total Regulation of Believers' Lives=cum-Blaming of Infidels for All Worldly Woes Whatsoever should be taken seriously, and the consequences of its unhindered spread, through migration, legal and illegal, and Da'wa (the Call to Islam), aided and abetted by hirelings of the Arabs and Muslims (a long list could be given here), including soi-disant "scholars" of Islam, but also including the truly ignorant, the truly lazy, the truly stupid -- of whom, alas, The New York Times, one is afraid, is supplying its share."

I can only listen to so much of that stuff before my chest starts hurting from laughing. I am surprised that clown gets any press at all, even here. He is a lot like 'Rage Boy' without the beard. More on Neil MacFarquhar (from Contemporary Authors Online, Thomson Gale, 2007)

It states...

"The son of a chemical engineer who worked for Exxon in Libya, Neil MacFarquhar grew up in that country and learned to speak Arabic fluently before moving to the United States for college. He became a journalist and, for five years, was bureau chief in Cairo, Egypt, for the New York Times."

Why does this stuff always come back to Exxon and oil industry?

The NY Times article writes approvingly of the Islamic da'wa campaign on Youtube, and highlights a video called I Am A Muslim by a young Muslim presenting himself as just an ordinary American.

The article mentions the critical responses it has received, including a video response from a particularly switched-on young man:

"'Muslims need to come to grips with the fact that it is not always the extremism that we object to, it is simply your religion,' the man says, going on to argue that people are troubled by what he calls* Islam’s opposition to homosexuality, free speech and women’s rights. 'Only in Islam can one be labeled not an extremist simply because he has no immediate desire to blow you up.'”

[*Note the Times' writer dodges any acknowledgement of these basic truths]

This got me Googling, and I found the video response that the article refers to. It has received more than 133,000 hits, and is well worth watching: at least one young American gets it:

The mind-numbing rhythm of Rap is entirely appropriate to the Message of Islam. The lyrics say much, but the rythm says even more.

Like Islam, there's nothing thoughtful, graceful or majestic in it. It's not the stuff that provokes contemplation or aspirations to grow spiritually.

It's the rhythm of mindlessness, it could appropriately be called the Gregorian chants of Islam.

darcy,
You're on the road and some dimwit Muslim comes behind or alongside you and shakes his fist and honks his horn because of a BUMPER STICKER?

Show him your pearly whites, maybe mouth a cheerful "Hi there!" (You can always kill them with kindness!) and then IGNORE HIM! Let him raise his own blood pressure. You shouldn't raise yours.

Keep your eyes on the road. Focus on your driving. He's not worth even a fender-bender.

You can also cherish the satisfaction of getting his goat.

BTW, this has become my reaction to even the most aggressive drivers who honk and curse as they cut me off or pass. Most don't even get a smile. They get ignored. I give them the finger in my mind. That way, both hands stay on the wheel.

The many faces of Islam. The one that I can't get out of my mind is Muhammad's, because there is no changing his evil mug. All the lying, murder and mayhem he offered the world is hard to makeover; so try as they may to repackage Islam, there's no getting around Mo's evil contribution.

The internet is a two-edged sword. Posting all of these videos on YouTube and other internet sites lets non-Muslims see what the New York Times doesn't want us to see. It's no longer confined to the mosque. It's in the cyberworld for all to see. There's no longer any validity to the "Islam is just another religion" argument. The element of surprise, so vital in warfare, is gone. The infidels of the world are being warned and to be forewarned is to be forearmed.

Posted by: PMK [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 11, 2008 12:56 PM

What a cuddly looking moderate this guy is. Cute lyrics too. What a shame so many of those nasty people who post at JW just don't understand that Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance. But the editors of The New York Times understand this, enlightened as they are.

It is a shame, isn't it? But that's our destiny. We are the outsiders that Allah wants no part of. C'est la vie.

Islamic road rager's...I used to give the finger to those who gave it to me, or shook their fists as they roared by, it never fails to further enrage them. But then I discovered that grinning at them and waving as if a friendly gesture, really sets them off. It helps if you are wearing a set of plastic Dracula teeth, you can get those for about a buck. No one wearing those has ever been attacked by a muslim. Try grinning at a hostile while wearing wearing those. You want to see the face of shock...LOL

Robert,

Thanks for the link! Glad to know you and your readers also find this so appalling.

I am doing what I can to get a reply from the NY Times, perhaps the extra attention from all of you would help. Here's the contact info for the Times' Public Editor:

Clark Hoyt: public@nytimes.com, (212) 556-7652.

Those lyrics also highlight the logical inconsistency which inevitably arises when Muslims and their associates openly advocate the usurping of Western legal and cultural institutions,(by whatever means necessary)then claim that there is nothing to fear and the kafir are actually "blowing up their own buildings to blame us."

If it were me, I'd draw my finger across my throat.

But then, my state has a conceal and carry license.

Maybe not too advisable for you and you hubby unless you're "packing heat".

But for sure, get the license plate number and report the incidence to the local police or state trooper. One visit will scare them and end that type of behavior for others.

They tried to scare your husband - scare them back.

Someone needs to tell the guy to see a dentist. Virtually all of his videos highlight his horrible teeth.

LOL!! Most Muslim mother's encourage their sons to become suicide bombers and the like, so careers like Dentists and Orthodontist don't even make the top ten list of choices.

I was thinking. this Guy is a "Movie" maker and "Rap" Singer, heavy into the Internet. Let's encourage his migration to Somalia. No doubt he will be a big "Hit".

In that reputed "Sicilian" way.

The "free" press never had a mandate to be truthful. Report the truth-truthfully. Nor be truthful with what ever truth they might actually be truthful with. Is there when any wonder why they get along so well with Islam.

That whole "truth" thing.

Posted by: flowerknife_us [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 11, 2008 3:33 PM

I had seen the YouTube videos of Ali Ardekani previously and had dismissed them as the ravings of yet another amateur film maker using the new toys of the Internet to shove his warped and immature views into our faces. It's outrageous that the NYT would paint this disgusting person in a positive light.

Islam's not the only thing in need of an overhaul.

Posted by: champ [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 11, 2008 4:13 PM

Some people just don't hear the supremacist ideology, even though it's quite clear. Imagine Changing "Muslims" to "Whites" and Kaffir to the "N" word and you'll hear what these folk are about.

They are actually worse than the KKK, since those pathetic creatures just wanted a white homeland. These Islamic supremacists want the whole world and if we give it to them, hundreds of millions of non-Muslims will die, as will hundreds of millions of Muslims attempting to bring about their delusions of an Islamic utopia.

These guys forget one thing, Western society is strong right now because there is a strength in Western society. Not to be overly circular, but what I mean is that there is much that we Westerners do right which gives us strength. We also have a much stronger resolve since the West is animated by desire for life (at least the Christian West. The Pope rightly talks about the Culture of Death in the Secular West), whereas Muslims are animated by a desire for death. At least the ones who banter that silly phrase about Muslims loving death more than we desire life.

The Western dynamism might be curtailed by Western secularism's nihilistic outlook, however there are many signs of a resurgence of Western Christian confidence. This gives me hope, since if we can deal with the Juggernaut of German fascism and Japanese Imperialism at the same time, I expect that Islamic Jihadism will be defeated in the same manner. Alas, the dust heap of history awaits many misguided jihadists along the way who squandered their lives for a false religion and a false prophet.

Islam doesn't deliver, the West does! That's why everyone wants to live here and not in Syria, Iran, Turkey, or any of the other Islamic states.

Absolutely agree with that guy. What are we heading to? Muslims don't seem to get it that we don't want Islam/Cowran or their grandpa's goat. Keep all that ...p off our shores.

Well, CGW, what about "Political Correctness?" WE might be blamed for "inciting racial hatred" with the "DEFEATJIHAD" bumper sticker. But, if I had been in the vehicle this morning, I've decided that I would "make a face" complete with tongue sticking out, to the aggressive Mohammedan.

Were can I get one of these bumpr stickers?

Posted by: SonofIsaac [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 11, 2008 6:07 PM

Other suggestions for bumperstickers, and other kinds of stickers, that could be used along with the counter-jihad sticker.

One or more of the following: one's national or state flag. The Israeli flag and/ or Star of David, to declare support for Israel against the Jihad, and in order to challenge Islamic and every other form of antisemitism/ antizionism. Similarly, even non-Danes might choose to display a Danish flag in solidarity with Kurt Westergaard; how about a 'long live Kurt Westergaard!' sticker? Or 'God Bless Geert!'

Then, according to taste and religious affiliation, such things as: Templar cross; Cross of St George; St Andrews' Cross; The Coptic Cross; The Celtic Cross; or, if one is Sikh or Hindu, or Buddhist, or Taoist, the appropriate symbol. Wear your heart on your sleeve.

Other possibilities: for those with Irish connections, the Shamrock (further offends Muslims, by being green, thus representing a shocking Kafir appropriation of the sacred Muslim colour). For Welsh: the Dragon of Wales.

Thank you for the creative list dumbledoresarmy, it is obviously a matter of personal taste.

For myself, as a complement to my “Defeat Jihad” bumper sticker I would select the very appropriate:

DEUS VULT!

Darcy,

I saw a rather large SUV with a vanity plate bearing "Jihada". The windows were tinted so I couldn't see the person driving. When I tried to get a photo with my cell phone, they rather recklessly sped off and zipped around a corner. As for the concealed carry permit, LOL!! Not in this state in my lifetime. This reminds me of two old sayings. "I'd rather be judged by twelve than carried by six." and "Speak softly and carry a big stick."

Prepare!!

What is it about Muslim macho men and their jarringly jaggedy teeth? Here's a JW reference pic of Moqturda al Sadr teething in the cause of Allah.

Their teeth are like that 'cause they rinse and gargle with camel urine instead of Listerine.

Regarding the question, "Why does the NYT willingly turn a blind eye to Islam's true nature?"

Because they are liberals.

In the minds of most liberals, Christianity and Western culture in general represent The Establishment.

So by supporting Islam, they are rebelling against authority, and "sticking it to The Man", which is was liberalism is all about.

This is the ones who should be Islam's biggest critics (i.e. feminists and gay-rights activists) are so vocal in their disdain for Western values, but completely silent (or openly supportive) concerning Islam.

I think the teeth thing is a byproduct of generations of inbreeding. In some cases they even develop cartoonish faces like this guy Ali and even Osama. I'm sure it effects their brain development as well.

What was it Oscar Wilde said...?

"Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them quite so much."

Personally, I admire the cojones of those people driving around in the U.S. with Jihad Watch bumper stickers. Not sure if I'd be willing to risk worse than a shaken fist and a mouthed obscenity myself. People have been shot on the Interstate for a lot less.

Thank you for your admiration, anglo.

I did not put mine on my truck without a great deal of thought. I realize full well that
“DEFEAT JIHAD” on my bumper makes me something of a target. But we are confronting real evil here and it cannot be defeated if good men only “play it safe”.

At some point, if you are honest, you must ask yourself just how deeply you believe what you KNOW to be true about Islam and are you willing to do what you can to challenge it? For me it finally it came to this:

If a poor Somali girl (Ayaan Hirsi Ali) can find the courage to challenge the monstrous evil of Islam, that afflicts all of humankind and then suffer the real, palpable threat of death, for the rest of her life - then surely I can find the courage to put a sticker on my truck.

Kill the Jihadi – educate the Muslim

For some reason I think of "inbred" every time I see Ali Ardekani's mugshot.

Could it be the buckteethed grin? Something you see a lot in Hollywood Westerns. Or the "shit for brains" look in the eye? Wasn't John Wayne short of a few marbles?

Posted by: ewha1 [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 13, 2008 10:40 AM

Hummm, Ali Ardekani… John Wayne…
“"shit for brains" look in the eye” Hummm
– I see your point ewha1.

Thanks for the insight, ewha1 – would not have been possible for me to make that connection without your help.

By the way, you got a “DEFEAT JIHAD” sticker on your Prius yet?

No? Didn’t think so.
