MILF ready for war

"Arroyo will leave the presidency with blood on her hands." True to the constant practice of Islamic groups, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front indulges in finger-pointing rather than introspection, and blames the government for the breakdown of peace talks. Nothing it has done gives it any responsibility for anything. "Muslim guerrillas blame Philippine president for stalled talks, say they're ready for war," from The Associated Press (thanks to Twostellas):

MANILA, Philippines: Muslim guerrillas said Sunday they're ready for war and accused the Philippine government of abandoning Malaysian-brokered peace talks by refusing to honor earlier accords.

Malaysia has complained about a lack of progress in the talks it has brokered between the two sides and withdrew 28 of its cease-fire monitors from the south Saturday in the first serious fallout from the impasse.

U.S. and Philippine officials hope a peace pact between the Manila government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, which has an estimated 11,000 fighters, can transform parts of the south into flourishing economic hubs instead of battlefields and safe harbors for al-Qaida-linked militants.

The talks hit a snag in December when rebel negotiators walked out to protest government insistence that earlier piecemeal agreements by both sides in more than three years of negotiations should conform with the Philippine Constitution.

In a statement on their Web site, the rebels accused President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's administration of "deliberately reverting to war after it consistently refused to honor and abide by the 49 consensus points" on the issue of ancestral domain — the size of a territory that could be administered by minority Muslims.

"This is a tragic decision," said Muhammad Ameen, who heads a rebel secretariat. "Arroyo will leave the presidency with blood on her hands."

"We do not like war, war is a menace to everyone, but ... those who want peace to prevail must prepare for war," Ameen said.

Chief government negotiator Rodolfo Garcia said the government would not abandon the talks, and the military has given assurances it will respect the negotiations....

Oh, this acronym again. Too funny and proof once more that truth is stranger than fiction. Besides, you couldn't make this stuff up.

"'...those who want peace to prevail must prepare for war,' Ameen said."
From the article

Of course, what he really means is "...those who want ISLAMIC peace to prevail must prepare for war."

Thanks to Robert, we now know how to read and interpret such fatuous phrases as this.

11,000 fighters, shouldn't be difficult, put the country on a total war footing and crush them. Deport all the Muslims to a muslim country. Allow any prepared to revoke their religion to stay and closely monitor them.
Bet they won't though

"you make us do it..." great argument.

My 3-year old used to say things like that. (he's now 20)

and don't forget: its all about the jiziyah. Once given a 'homeland' from which they can attack infidels and conquer more territory, they also demand tribute from the infidel government for the temporary hudna's that allow them to regroup, chill out and prepare the next attack.

When are they NOT ready for war?

Time for my favourite quote from Jacques Ellul, French sociologist:

"There is so much talk nowadays of the tolerance and fundamental peacefulness of Islam, that it is necessary to recall its nature, WHICH IS FUNDAMENTALLY WARLIKE".

That was in one of the last things he ever wrote before his death - a brief preface on 'jihad' in Islam, written as foreword for his friend and protege Bat Yeor's book, 'The Decline of Eastern Christianity Under Islam: From Jihad to Dhimmitude', 1991.

Note that the walkout occurred over this particular point:

"rebel negotiators walked out to protest government insistence that earlier piecemeal agreements by both sides in more than three years of negotiations should conform with the Philippine Constitution."

That is, this 'walkout' from what the Muslims doubtless intend to be a discussion of the terms of the Philippine surrender to their lordly selves, is driven by exactly the same motive that drove that Canadian wannabe jihad assassin who tried to walk out of a Canadian court where he was being tried for plotting jihad; namely, complete contempt for everything not-Islam, including the laws, customs and government of non-Muslim states, whether in the Philippines or in Canada.

"We do not like war"

That's a damn lie. They LIVE for war. It's in their veins.
