Islamic world urged to stand against Western-style human rights

This is a call to Islamic states to stand against the freedom of conscience, freedom of speech, equality of rights of women with men, equality of rights of non-Muslims with Muslims, etc.

From IRNA, May 15 (thanks to Twostellas):

Secretary of the Human Rights Headquarters of Iran's Judiciary Mohammad-Javad Larijani called on all Islamic states on Thursday to stand against the Western-style human rights.

Addressing a local gathering of judiciary officials, Larijani criticized the West's interpretation from the human rights.

He stated that after the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, the country committed to fulfill international undertakings on human rights.

Iran has decided to fulfill those international commitments in accordance to its interest as an Islamic country, stressed the official.

He explained, "Tehran's strategy is to conform international commitments on human rights to the Islamic concepts and then enforce" them nationwide....

Nationwide? Why stop there?

"Islamic world urged to stand against Western-style human rights"

And they are at it. Ask Mark Steyn and Macleans Magazine.

While I think the Iranians are horribly wrong on their concept of human rights - these are really civil rights since they are a signatory to a treaty - I admire their willingness to be public about their beliefs. We in the West have let our desire for tolerance become an acceptance of evil. We need to be public about our ideas of justice and civil rights.

Islamic concepts of human rights are almost non-existent. Humans must submit to 'Allah' and what 'Allah' desires of Humans is completely arbitrary and dictated by the powers that be.

In the invert twisted logic of Islam, human rights means slavery, total submission in body and soul to the dictatorship of Allah's mullahs. They are tormented by their own insane Neanderthal logic. Posted by: Battle_of_Tours [TypeKey Profile Page] at May 15, 2008 1:16 PM

If Islamic states "stand against Western-style human rights" then none of their people need to come to the West. Those huddled masses of Muslims who yearn to be free will have to stand up to their own governments and take their rights from them.

If the Islamic strategy is "to conform international commitments on human rights to the Islamic concepts" then those international commitments are devoid of any meaning.

If the Islamic nations' "strategy is to conform international commitments on human rights to the Islamic concepts" then those commitments aren't worth the paper they're printed on.
No guarantee from an Islamic nation can be taken at face value. It means less than what we got from the USSR during WWII and the Cold War.

The mullahs undoubtedly recognize the power in the concept of "human rights" and are trying to hijack the words for their own purposes. But, like in the story of Cinderella, no matter how they might huff and puff they will never be able to shove their ugly feet into this beautiful glass slipper.

We urge our western leader to fight and ban Sharia laws and Koran passages that teach violence against non Muslims. Or at least tell the truth about what Sharia and the Koran teach so that the greater public in all democratic countries know what they are up against.

My sentiments exactly PMK.

duh swami:

you misunderstander of Islam, you!

read that sentence again:

He explained, "Tehran's strategy is to conform international commitments on human rights to the Islamic concepts and then enforce" them nationwide.

Do you get it? Classic Islamo double talk: making the world more Islamic and then to enforce it more and more on those nations under their control.

That's what it means.
