A few days ago I noted that a little-known Indian jihadist group had sent an email claiming responsibility for last week's bombings in Jaipur, in which over 50 people were killed.
But the email was more than just a claim of responsibility. In "Not just a claim, a manifesto for jihad" in The Hindu, May 17 (thanks to all who sent this in), Praveen Swami explains why:
Ever since newspaper and television stations received an e-mail from the terrorists who carried out the Jaipur serial bombings, commentators have busied themselves searching for messages hidden amidst its text.In fact, the e-mail couldn’t be more transparent: as its authors assert at its outset, the document mailed to the media quite simply is the “Indian Mujahideen’s Declaration of Open War Against India.”
Given the stark fact that the bicycles shown in the video attached to the Indian Mujahideen e-mail were those used to execute the Jaipur serial bombings, there can be little doubt the message is credible.
It would be misleading, though, to understand the e-mail only as a claim of responsibility. Like a similar document issued by the Indian Mujahideen after the bombings of three trial-court buildings in Uttar Pradesh last year, the e-mail is — despite its crude style and poor spelling — a political manifesto.
According to the authors of the e-mail, the bombings were carried out to meet two purposes: first, to “blow part your tourism structure” and, second, to “demolish your faith in the dirty mud, in the name of Hanuman, Sita [and] Ram”.
At its outset, the e-mail links the attacks in Jaipur to the broader global jihad, warning the “USA and [Great] Britain in particular that [that] we Muslims are one across the globe.” Although there is no reference to the Islamist campaigns in Afghanistan or Iraq, the e-mail threatens that western visitors to India “will be welcomed by our suicide attackers.”
But the e-mail is, for the most part, concerned with explaining just why the Indian Mujahideen are conducting terrorist attacks. Violence, the e-mail states, is a means to “to clearly give our message to Kuffar-e-Hind [the infidels of India] that if Islam and Muslims in this country are not safe then the light of your safety will also go off very soon”.[...]
Some of the sharpest invective in the document, interestingly, is reserved for the clerics who issued an unequivocal condemnation of terrorism in February. After two days of discussions held at the historic Dar-ul-Uloom seminary in Deoband, Uttar Pradesh, the clerics had said terrorism was “un-Islamic,” and called on Indian Muslims to “continue their loyalty towards their motherland.”
It wasn't at all an "unequivocal" condemnation of terrorism, as explained here. Still, the fact that it upset these jihadists makes it look better.
Describing the clerics as “dogs,” a “bunch of cowards”, “puppets of Hinduism” and “ullema-e-Kuffar”, or the disbeliever’s clergy, the e-mail interrogates “what terrorism is all about and who is a terrorist”. Who, it asks, are the terrorists: the “Hindus who killed the Muslims in Gujarat [and] Maharashtra or us who took revenge [qisas] through serial blast in Mumbai local trains?”Citing from the Koran and the Hadith, or traditions of the Prophet, the Indian Mujahideen argues its actions have theological legitimacy. Scriptural calls for forgiveness relied on by the Deoband clerics, it says, are only relevant after a decisive military victory. Dialogue, it continues, is futile: “there is no existence of compromise between a believer and a non-believer.”
Islamic law, the e-mail asserts, allows the use of collective retaliation against civilians if they are infidels. Given that “a single [Muslim] home is attacked by thousands of [Hindu] terrorists, [a] single woman is raped by hundreds of men,” it becomes legitimate for “the mujahideen to go to any extent or use anything to crush the dignity and power of the enemy.”
According to the e-mail, all Indians are legitimate targets because “they have willingly elected their leaders and representatives in Parliament who draw up the policies which murder our children, dishonour our women, occupy our houses and plunder our wealth.” Moreover, Hindus “fund the terrorist organisations like Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Shiv Sena.”
In its hostility to the Deoband clerics’ declaration, the e-mail is one with most south Asian jihadists. Soon after the declaration was issued, the Jamait ul-Mujahideen rejected it as “poison for all Islamic movements in the world.” For its part, the United Jihad Council said the declaration was “one-sided,” and promised to continue the jihad “until the Day of Doom.”...

Thanx for the credit, Robert.
Btw, here is a rather interesting editorial from Arab News, where taqiyya spin-doctors tie themselves in knots to tell the world that all this cannot have anything to do with Islam, and if it does, then the perps are misunderstanders and 'deviants':
If this is true, then sadly once again deviants have been responsible for what is a crime against humanity. Given that possibility, we state again the most important fact here: What twisted minds did in Jaipur is at variance with everything Islam stands for. They and their actions stand utterly condemned by the overwhelming majority of Muslims here, in India, in Bangladesh, everywhere.

Sheik:
Thanx for the credit, Robert.
I didn't mean to slight you. When I get multiple emails of the same story -- as often happens -- I credit "all who sent this in." This was one of those times.
Cordially

-from the article
There go those misunderstanders again!
It's a bit odd that President Bush and Western leaders and authors know more about Islam than its own practitioners. They tell us so after every attack.
all Indians are legitimate targets because “they have willingly elected their leaders and representatives in Parliament...
-from the article
This is the basis for jihad against any and all democracies. We elect our leaders and so any one of us can be attacked at any time.

"What twisted minds did in Jaipur is at variance with everything Islam stands for.:
What a bunch of taqiyya. They must think we're stupid! It's funny - the West has invented EVERYTHING, yet the Mohammedans underestimate us like Jason underestimated Medea.
Yeah - we understand the Qur'an. As simple as understanding Mother Goose. Next.

From the email: "Who, it asks, are the terrorists: the “Hindus who killed the Muslims in Gujarat..."
The Gujarat riots have to be one of the most overreported and exagerrated riots worldwide, because the media made it easy to claim that the victims of the riots were only Muslim. So the Muslims can always bring up the same single story, without having to talk about the Kashmiri Pandits and other victims of Islam.
But the Gujarat incident happened of course after Muslims burned Hindu pilgrims alive in a train (which is routinely ignored and even denied by pro-Muslim media), and the riots had also many underreported Hindu victims.

According to the e-mail, all Indians are legitimate targets because “they have willingly elected their leaders and representatives in Parliament who draw up the policies which murder our children, dishonour our women, occupy our houses and plunder our wealth.”
Now, if we just expound on the target (in this case Indians) and include the rest of the kuffar nation, it includes:
Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Zorostrains, Wiccans, Athiests, 7th Day Adventists, Unitarians, Latter Day Saints, Kabbalah followers, gays, lesbians, the mentally challenged, epileptics, dogs, pigs, cows, women, cartoonists, publicists, authors, mimes, clowns, democratic candidates, baptist preachers, ice cream cone sellers, artists, actors, poets, lyricists and.... the list goes on ad-infinitum.
Moslems need to just get over themselves. Honestly. If they took just five hours to do some introspective study on this 'religion' created by a man with a motive and intent to destroy any of whom opposed his doctrine and 'divinity' they would hang their heads in shaame and disgust. Instead of banging your head on the floor five 'times' a day.. spend five 'hours'.. just five hours.. one study session.
Take the time and figure out what it is that you worship and what that doctrine does to your spirit and your mind that makes you so murderous and blood thirsty as to be motivated to shed the blood of the innocent. Your doctrine not only calls for the destruction of peoples, but property and cities and towns and villages and trains and busses and apartments and homes and offices and vehicles and bikes and motorcycles.
Why? Ask yourself this question, moslem reader.

Citing from the Koran and the Hadith, or traditions of the Prophet, the Indian Mujahideen argues its actions have theological legitimacy. "
and the Muslim appeasists and apologists, and the the Muslims trying to remain undercover, and the dhimmis in the government will say there is no connection between the Islamic religion and those "few" misguided terrorists.
But the truth about Islam is being revealed and the Muslims can deny all they want, but it doesn't work anymore. The Qur'an is a war manual.

A prayer of strength for the people who lost their lives and the relatives who have to bear the tragedy.
Isn't it surprising that India is the second most attacked country in the world (besides Iraq, which is war torn)?
The Government of India obviously does not give a damn about illegal Bangladesh immigration or the mujadheen lest they hurt someone's feelings.

what's really sad is that the “Indian Mujahideen" are the survivors of the Hindu Holocaust. Their ancestors were butchered by Moslems from the 9th century to the 16th century. The Hindus that the “Indian Mujahideen" kill and threaten to kill are their relatives.
It is a great crime to make a people forget their past.

...continue the jihad “until the Day of Doom.”...
from the story
Well, thanks for the heads up. Someone should give these guys some Advice 101 pointers about announcing their plans in advance, but of course we know it would be wasted on these bags of hot air. Thanks to Robert, we know that the Day of Doom the story refers to is Islamic Judgment Day as described in the Qur'an, and that Muslims everywhere are likely to understand it as such. Not to quibble, but perhaps they'd like to consider alternate definitions Doom that would attach to Islam more in line with how events are likely to play in the ME, such as "an unpleasant or disastrous destiny" or "inevitable destruction or ruin" or "fate, especially a tragic or ruinous one".

This is the result of the day when that great traitor , Gandhi, condmned the hindus to 2nd class citizens in their own country while giving the muslim privilges that hindus never received in pakistan. whats that day? thats the day when Gandhi told the muslims of india not to go to pakistan, a nation carved out of india for them. he told them to stay in India a sprivilged people who will live with the hindus ( and sikhs, buddhists, christians) to form a united india. Of course these muslims who stayed hav eno intention of integrating with the other indians. they are waiting for a time when they get numerical majority to eventully take over india. meanwhile they will look the other way when muslim terrorists go around killing hindus.

India the birthplace of the zero by the native Hindus. India home to a peaceful religion of Hinduism(while I am a Christian this fact is still obvious to all who have open hearts) that gave rise to yoga and ayurvedic medicine. India a rapidly developing and prospering nation. Hindus that were massacred in the tens of millions by muslim invaders in the first holocaust the world has never been told about. India the fountainhead of culture is being targeted by bloodthirsty muslim barbarians. All of those who are telling the lie that American aggression or Zionists (Israel) or Christian fundamentalists are 'causing' Muslim jihad...Can anyone of you ostriches out there explain if that's so why is India being targeted? Indian Hindus have no dog in that fight. But maybe all of the non-Muslim Indians should get a dog as a pet. Let it 'do its business' in the Muslim quarters. Though I am not a profound linguistic wordsmith like Robert Spencer and Hugh Fitzgerald ( and am in consistent admiration of their written communciation) Here is my version of how to tell how civilized a culture/religion is "Watch how they treat their dogs. Never trust a man who beats his dog." Seems to me the Hindus and Christians in India respect not only dogs but in the case of Hindus..cows. The world has been so blessed by peaceful concepts originating in India. Time for India to deport those who do not share their values like the new government in Italy is gearing up to do. Remember the saying Stand for something or fall for everything. Stand up India!

Time for Western, and Indian, and Thai, and Filipino, and Ethiopian, and Israeli military men, from the common soldier all the way up to the Commanders of the armed forces, together with judges, lawyers, policemen, heads of state, and parliamentarians, to read, mark, learn and inwardly digest this passage from Winston S Churchill's "The River Wars", describing the encounter between the British Empire at its most confident, and the fanatical Muslim armies of the Mahdi, in Sudan, in the late 19th century:
"No terms but fight or death were offered. No reparation or apology could be made. . . The red light of retribution played on the bayonets and the lances, and civilization—elsewhere sympathetic, merciful, tolerant, ready to discuss or to argue, eager to avoid violence, to submit to law, to effect a compromise—here advanced with an expression of inexorable sternness, and rejecting all other courses, offered only the arbitration of the sword."
Sir Winston Churchill - The River Wars.

Looks like once the Rajastan government decided that it wants to deport all Bangladeshis, the UPI butt kissers of Islam, despite their initial dhimmi protestations, decided to go along with them. And despite a Toilet of India report that those refugees expect nothing to change, a report here says that most of them are making a beeline for Left Bengal.
Well, not quite where we want them, but a good first step. If Left Bengal got flooded with Bangladeshis from the rest of India, they may be less tolerant of that open sieve masquerading as a border. OTOH, they may see new voters.

A few days before the bombings I read an especially brainless article holding that because most anti-Indian terrorism was backed by Pakistan, and Pakistan is going through a bit of internal turmoil just now, that all was likely to be peaceful in Kashmir, and Jammu, and the rest of India. I had intended to send in the article, but was too busy and never got around to it.
Even before the bombings it was clear to me how short-sighted this was. While much of the terrorism against India has been backed by Pakistan, the jihad against India is more than just a border dispute between two nations. Groups like the one cited above won't be satisfied with Kashmir, or Kashmir and Jammu as independent nations (or annexed by Pakistan). They want, first, all majority Muslim areas of India, and then the whole of India.
Firstly, it is by no means clear that a chaotic Pakistan is *less likely* to sponsor terrorism against India. Then, there are plenty of jihadi group--like Indian Mujahideen--operating in India itself.
