Dinna fash yersel! It's just a muckle nuisance, pure!
"'Muslim base' discussed, court told," from The Press Association, June 11 (thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist):
Two Muslims supporters of "violent jihad" discussed setting up a secret Islamic state in a remote part of Scotland, a court has heard.Away from the prying eyes of the authorities, it would provide a safe haven for those who felt "oppressed", jurors were told.
It would also be run according to Sharia law and eventually be used as a base to "discreetly train" for attacks against non-believers.
What's this? Sharia law? Attacks on unbelievers? What are these "two Muslims" -- some kind of Islamophobes?

Good lord, this must be more of that "anti-islamic" behaviour we've all heard so much about.
Why can't we leave this poor peace loving religion be? I mean, there's not a jot of evidence to suggest that any muslim anywhere has ever done anything violent in the entire history of Islam.
If anyone can suggest a single incident of violence then I certainly haven't heard it.
NOW THAT'S SARCASM.
Wake up and smell the sharia!

Shy Guy - I canna din such a thing!
There are some remote islands - just rocks, really. Perhaps the lads would like to try some crofting on one. Like to see them launch a "violent jihad" against the seaweed and moss!

(Referring to the insolence of the Muslim refugees, a prominent citizen said):
"This is what you have done to yourselves. You have let them occupy your country, and you have divided your property among them. ...They are trying to outdo us seeking to outnumber us in our own land."
Where and who said it? Someone in Minnesota? Indian North-East? London? Paris? Scotland?
Guess again. These words were said by one Ibn Ubayy, a citizen of Medina, when Mohammad and his gang were taking over the place (and where they had been given refuge).
These guys have come a long way from the seventh century to the present, but the modus operandi is more or less the same. As any cop will tell you, a criminal seldom changes his modus operandi as long as it keeps delivering.

Camp Jihad for muslims...a retreat for the tired and oppressed muslims, where inner struggle is turned into outer expression. Not only are there rowing competitions and basketball games and a hot tub, but para-military training as well. After a full day of shooting guns and baskets, and rowing, lots of rowing, it's time for a halal meal. Falafel burgers usually...then it's off to prayers and sermons and Quran study, usually 9:29 and 5:33, that's to keep the camper interested...and then the hot tub, where fellow campers meet, and discuss the days activities, and entertain each other with...songs and jokes...After snacks of cookies and milk, the happy campers retire to sweet dreams of conquest and victory, Allah willing...and he always is...
Yep that's Camp Jihad where everything is wonderful all the time. A great place to send your kids this summer...if you are a muslim, or an infidel lunatic...

Oh Dear! Not this bloody image of Scotland again! Where in the name of the wee man are they going to find an area of Scotland that is “Remote”? Don’t they realise that the remoter an area seems in Scotland the more under scrutiny it is. A stranger of any persuasion up there stands out like a sore thumb. Can you imagine what a bunch of wallies dressed for the desert would look like? Gamekeepers, Ghillies, shepherds not to mention the local cops (who know every bird, deer, ptarmigan – and human being on their patch) not to mention the local population would make of that! They wouldn’t be there 10 minutes before every Morag, Donaldina and Katie-Mary in a hundred mile radius were at their door wanting to know why their women were dressed in garbage bags and would they like to join the Women’s Rural!
Can’t these prats read maps? What a bunch of pure numpties they are – Sharia Law my Ar*e!

Where would this be? On Lewis and Harris? The spirits of those who long ago put up the Standing Stones of Callanish would never approve. On the Shetlands? The ponies wouldn't like it, they would neigh their implacable nay. On the Shetlands? And disturb the necessary peace of Peter Maxwell Davies? Out of the question.
Besides, Scotland has one single-malt temptation after another. There's one tight little island after another. There's Whiskey Galore. It's really not the place. Think again.

These two are delusional, if they think the Porridge wogs are going to agree to this, they are in for a big surprise. I would advise them to learn the meaning of a Glaswegian kiss. I can hardly stop laughing. I have this picture in my mind.
Let me digress for a paragraph and perhaps you will understand what I mean. This is a true story it is not an urbane legend. One of the first raids the British made on the Coast of France during the Second World war was the Brunerval raid to capture a German radar station during the fighting corporal Stewart in the Gordon Highlanders had his wallet on him, full of money he had won gambling a few days previous. He received a head wound, thinking that he was dieing, shouted too his friend that he was dieing and that he had to take his wallet and give it too his wife. His friend looked at the wound and said that it was not serious. Then give me back my bloody wallet was the reply.
I have this picture in my mind. I can see this Mullah addressing a crowd of Scots and telling them that seeing as they now have to live under Sharia law that they must pay a special tax and that they can't drink whiskey anymore. I leave it up to the good readers of this blogg to imagine the reply.

What would William Wallace and Robert the Bruce and James Douglas be saying?
Here's a link to a Scottish site that gives a potted history of Robert the Bruce's life, and the text of the great Robbie Burns poem, 'Bruce's March to Bannockburn', more commonly known as 'Scots Wha Hae'.
http://www.heartoscotland.com/Categories/RobertBruce.htm
There are probably more scholarly sites available, but this one's not bad.
For future reference, in case the link breaks, and for the inspiration of all Scots reading this, and anyone with Scots ancestry, I will post the text of the Burns poem:
Scots, wha hae wi' Wallace bled,
Scots, wham Bruce has aften led,
Welcome to your gory bed,
Or to victorie!
Now's the day, and now's the hour;
See the front o' battle lour;
See approach proud Edward's power --
Chains and slaverie!
Wha will be a traitor knave?
Wha can fill a coward's grave?
Wha sae base as be a slave?
Let him turn and flee!
Wha, for Scotland's king and law,
Freedom's sword will strongly draw,
Free-man stand, or free-man fa',
Let him follow me!
By oppression's woes and pains,
By your sons in servile chains,
We will drain our dearest veins,
But they shall be free!
Lay the proud usurpers low!
Tyrants fall in every foe!
Liberty's in every blow! --
Let us do or die!
by Robert Burns.
After Robert the Bruce's death his friend James Douglas took his heart, in a silver casket, on crusade. While fighting the Muslim Moors in Spain, Douglas is said to have hurled the casket into the midst of the enemy and then rushed after it, dying in battle.
Here's one version of that story:
"It fell to lot of Sir James Douglas, known as the Black Douglas because of the terror his name aroused in the English, to carry the Bruce heart, encased in a small casket made of silver or gold, to Palestine.
"On his way there in 1330, he arrived in Spain just as Alfonso XI of Castile was preparing to do battle against Osmyn, the Moorish governor of Grenada.
"On March 25th, at Tebas de Ardales the forces of Islam and Christianity clashed.
"The Scots found themselves surrounded by Moorish cavalry and attempted to break through.
"Sensing impending defeat, Douglas led a last desperate charge, in the heat of the moment taking the casket from a chain around his neck, cocking his arm back and, in the best action hero style, letting the cardio-missile fly, then charging after it.
"The following day, when the main Spanish forces reached the site, the bodies of the Scottish crusaders were discovered on the battlefield. When the corpse of the Black Douglas was turned face up, the casket was found beneath his body, the heart still inside. Robert the Bruce had led his final charge.
"His heart would return to Scotland, in the Lowlands, for burial in Melrose Abbey."

Now the Moors, the Mohammedans, are proposing to set up a fortress even in the midst of bonnie Scotland! Let us hope the fiery spirits of Robert the Bruce and James Douglas will awaken and inspire their countrymen to repel the invaders.

A remote part of Scotland? I guess this means that the wee bournes in such unsettled parts would go unappreciated by Islamic nutjobs for the role they play in making extremely fine whiskey. No surprise, though. Islamic folk miss so much time and time again. And, after all, one couldn't get much more clueless than not seeing the real worth of those small Scottish brooks. Once again, being Muslim means being dumb.

While I would love to visit Scotland, because of its past and present glories, I would think Muslims would shun it!
Is there a more haunted place in the world, than Scotland? I'm picturing docks acrawl with Muslims, climbing over one another like rats, trying to get the hell out of Scotland.
By the way, Baudricourt, I'm holding you personally responsible for the ice cube I nearly aspirated, (oh, God--I'm still laughing), while reading your musings about Sharia tartans.

What would David Cameron and the conservatives make of this?
http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2007/may/13/race.immigrationpolicy
They'd probably say: "Muslims feel marginalised in today's Britain with one upsetting issue being the use of language.
'We must be careful about the language we use,' he writes. 'Many Muslims ... are deeply offended by the use of the word "Islamic" or "Islamist" to describe the terrorist threat we face today.'"
Voting for Labour, conservative, liberal, green, etc. is all the same thing - more Islamization and appeasement.

"Away from the prying eyes of the authorities,it would provide a safe haven for those who felt "oppressed",jurors were told."
As was rightly pointed out above, this notion that some secret enclave could escape the "eyes" of the authorities, but not the attention of the locals, who are familiar with every meter of terrain in the highlands, coast,is naive at best. Those "prying eyes of the authorities" would be essential for their prime protection should Muslims think about back woods Sharia.
