Canada: Muslim arrested at airport with handgun in carry-on luggage

A test of screening procedures?

"Gun, ammunition confiscated from air passenger," from CBC News, June 17 (thanks to APA):

A man was arrested at the Calgary International Airport Tuesday after a handgun was detected in his carry-on luggage.

Security officers in a pre-boarding screening area at concourse D noticed the gun inside the luggage and alerted police just after noon Tuesday.

Police arrested the man without incident and seized an unloaded, small calibre handgun and several rounds of ammunition from the bag, said Calgary police. They believe the man was flying to Saskatoon.

Ziad Mohamad Jeha, 30, of Calgary, has been charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, possession of a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon without a permit and possession of a restricted weapon with readily accessible ammunition.

Calgary police said the suspect is known to them.

That's an interesting last paragraph.

"Calgary police said the suspect is known to them."

Why is Ziad Mohamad Jeha still in Canada? Why hasn't he been put permenantly back into Dar al-Islam, where he can wreak what mischief he wishes against the local insufficiently Muslim government, and be dealt with by them, as they, unhindered by our scruples, are used to doing? Why does the Canadian government have to go to the worry and great expense to monitor such people? Laws, you say? There are laws. Very well then, change the laws to meet the case. This is absurd. This can't continue to go on, at an ever-increasing rate, all over the Infidel world. We have other things to do, than monitor, and worry constantly about, the Muslims in our midst, and what they are up to, here and there and everywhere. We can't afford it. There isn't time. There isn't space. Don't cut to the chase -- don't create the conditions where the chase is necessary. Remove all such people as Ziad Mohamad Jeha, and put them back in the environment in which they belong -- if they belong anywhere.

Don't worry guys, I'm sure the gun and ammunition were for peaceful purposes, just like Iran's nuclear ambitions.

"Calgary police said the suspect is known to them."

Well it's good they got him before he did any real damage. The Canadian authorities should put all of his friends on surveillance.

This is a section of Burt Lancaster's courtroom dialogue in "Judgment at Nuremberg":

"Where were we? Where were we when Hitler began shrieking his hate in Reichstag? Where were we when our neighbors were being dragged out in the middle of the night to Dachau!?! Where were we when every village in Germany has a railroad terminal where…where cattle cars were filled with children being carried out to their extermination! Where were we when they cried out in the night to us!"

Hopefully there won't be a new "Where were we" as aggressive, territorial, and hate-filled "Kill the Infidel" Islam seeks to dominate the world in the name of "Allah" in the 21st century.

He must really misunderstand Islam.

Hmm. This gets stranger and stranger.

When, oh when are we going to stop playing games with the language and start naming the problem by its proper name?

And I agree with Hugh. This man should be sent packing to whence he came, along with every other Muslim who is illegally in the U.S.A. or Canada (or the U.K. for that matter).

Get them out.

Now.

Send them back to the Sharia they love so much and want to jam down our throats.

My wife and kids will be flying on the same airline and in the same airport next week. This feels too close to home. Had they not spotted this evil man, someones wife and kids would be flying with a potential terrorist with a gun.

Friends, anyone in North America is a possible target of Islamic hatred of all people non-Muslim. Ironically, Canadians think themselves immune from this hatred because we are nice people. Think again Canucks!

Muslim's toting handguns in Calgary while running back to Saskatoon. It's time for us to wake up from our denial before it gets someone killed.

Methinks it's time to a 'Roman' style substitution of the participants of this years' Stampede.

Such a wonderful city! Please, I beg you, all of you wonderful citizens of Alberta, to join in and fight these damned islamic infiltrators.

Why are you all so upset?

A Muhammedan without a gun is like a female without a protector. It all comes (and should go) together.

How dare you question the rights of the soldiers of Allah!

This is the reason Mohammedans are not flown back to Mohammedanistan: Human rights.Britain just released Abu Quatada from prison.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/2147168/Abu-Qatada-Islamic-cleric-is-released-from-jail.html

Look what it takes to monitor one Mohammedan in Dar al Harb:

The conditions of his bail

1. Must wear electronic monitoring tag.

2. Must stay in his home except for one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon.

3. Only allowed out within a restricted boundary.

4. Must phone the monitoring company at the beginning and end of each one hour curfew.

5. Has to allow entry to police officers or the monitoring company at any time and they can search the home.

6 Banned from possessing travel ticket which would take him outside defined boundary

7. Banned from seeing anyone except his wife, children and lawyer, or any person aged 10 or under.

8. Visitors have to be approved in advance and then only one at a time.

9. Banned from communicating with a long list of people including Osama bin laden and his deputy Ayman al-Zawahiri, the terrorist Rachid Ramda, abu Doha, known as "The Doctor," and the preacher Abu Hamza.

10. Banned from communicating with anyone under a control order under the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005 or SIAC imposed bail.

11. Not allowed a mobile phone, computer or to connect to the internet.

12. Only allowed one bank account

13. Banned from holding a credit card.

14. Not allowed to send money or documents outside Britain without permission.

15. Not allowed to buy, sell or procure any form of communications equipment or computer equipment.

16. Must surrender his passport and cannot apply for a new one.

17. Not allowed to start a training course or academic study course without approval.

19. Cannot start a new job until he has received approval.

20. Banned from leading prayers, giving lectures, preaching or providing religious instruction or advice other than to his wife and children.

21. May not publish or permit to be published any document or statement without the prior approval and shall not make any statement that he has reason to believe is likely to be published.

22. Banned from attending any mosque.

Oh that is funny! I'll be using that, if you don't mind.

Ziad Mohamad Jeha is a good Muslim. The only reason he was carrying an unregisterd, concealed weapon was to protect himself from Christians and Jews and little ole' ladies with pork chops that were out to do him bodily harm. About this, "I am mad as hell, and am not going to take it anymore."

I'll be sure to credit you. What does "buraq is dead" mean? Who is "buraq?"

Posted by: darcy [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 18, 2008 9:18 AM

darcy

Buraq is that winged donkey-like creature Mohammed rode on during his night journey. In this night he flew to the seven heavens, saw among other things houris in paradise and women burning and being tortured in hell. According to the Koran he flew from "the furthest mosque", called Al-Aksa. This is why Mohammedans, after conquering Jerusalem and the temple mount, immediately built and called their Mosque Al Aksa. It was a trick to claim Jerusalem was "their" city, although Jerusalem is not once mentioned in the Koran.

The second (ex)mosque on the Temple Mount, the Dome of the Rock, is built around the rocky mountain top. Mohammedans are proud to point out a dent in the rock which, they claim, is a hoofprint from buraq when he leaped with Old Mo on his back towards heaven.

So I decided to let the brave steed die... and take with it some of the legends, which make life so tough for Israel today.

Does anybody else find it weird that all charges are possession charges, and not one (apparently) charge of "attempting to bring an unpermitted firearm onto a plane"? Is that not a crime in itself in Canada?

Posted by: aynrandgirl [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 18, 2008 10:52 AM

Thanks, buraq! Oh, I did know that, yes, the winged horse that Mohammedans actually think was real!

Well, we still buy into Pegasus, don't we?! lol

Posted by: darcy [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 18, 2008 12:06 PM

I am sure he will cry "Islamophoebia" and the PC police will let him go.

Posted by: IndianTiger [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 18, 2008 2:32 PM

One thing bothers me about this incident. Any like minded individual who would attempt to hi-jack a plane would be foolish to carry a hand gun on board knowing it would be checked. As to the arrest of this individual... was it his intention to get arrested like the 6 imams in November 2006. Is he trying to make a public statement? Is this individual intending to sue the Calgary Airport Authority? He should be listed on the world's dumbest criminals... We will soon find out.

Well, 2 years ago educational authorities right there in Alberta included in a list of "recommedned reading" a book "Three Wishes" glorifying "Palestinian" suicide bombers who murder Israeli civilians. This kind of "public education" is bound to produce fruit.

Ruslan Tokhchukov, EnragedSince1999.

Posted by: Enragedsince1999 [TypeKey Profile Page] at June 18, 2008 3:23 PM

The prosecution will have a difficult time proving his motive. Perhaps they should of let him board on the plane with the gun in the carry-on baggage and have 2-3 plainclothes armed Marshalls also board the aircraft and watch and monitor his every move. This way if he intended to hi-jack or hold passengers hostage, the Marshalls could subdue him and he would then be brought to justice and sentenced to life imprisonment.
