The problem here, of course, is that while "almost all Western governments including the USA had made categorical statements rejecting any linkage between Islam and terrorism," there are Muslims who keep linking them up again. But the OIC has nothing to say about that. The obvious elephantine fact is that Islamic terrorism and supremacism are what cause resentment of Muslims, and that punishment, not the lack thereof, would have led to more resentment of Muslims -- but the OIC doesn't really want to end that resentment at all. What they want to do is end free speech about Islam and jihad in the West.
"Danish cartoon ruling may prompt 'Islamophobia': OIC," from Reuters, June 23 (thanks to Henrik):
RIYADH (Reuters) - The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), a league of 57 Muslim nations, said on Monday a Danish court's rejection of a suit against a paper for printing cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad could provoke "Islamophobia."The High Court for western Denmark on Thursday rejected a suit against Jyllands-Posten, the newspaper that first published cartoons of Islam's prophet, leading to deadly protests in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
The court said the editors had not meant to depict Muslims as criminals or terrorists, the cartoons had not broken the law, and there was a relationship between acts of violence and Islam -- comments that provoked outcry among Muslim groups in Denmark.
"It is a known fact that acts of terror have been carried out in the name of Islam and it is not illegal to make satire out of this relationship," the court said.
The Saudi-based OIC, the largest grouping of Muslim countries, said the ruling could encourage "Islamophobia," a fear or dislike of Islam, which the group has identified as existing in the West.
"The Danish ruling came as a surprise to the OIC at a time when almost all Western governments including the USA had made categorical statements rejecting any linkage between Islam and terrorism," an OIC statement said.
"The linkage drawn by the Danish court ... could create a precedent for exacerbation of Islamophobia."...

I have a great fear or dislike of Islam.
I despise those with 'Islamophobia'-, those spineless wankers from the 'free press' who have an irrational fear to touch the subject or voice any criticism of the cult of Islam.
I despise the Western government stooges who deny in the face of obvious evidence that Islam and terror go together.
I want to see an outcry in the West, by western people and by all those who have been hoodwinked by the great multiculti-diversity fantasy that we can accept those who hate us in our midst.
The One World delusion to accept large numbers of Muhammedans who suck up our lifeblood and want us dead or converted has to be exposed.
It will come. We will prevail. We must. There is no alternative...

I think the Dutch are the only ones with a Spine in this World. Quite an accomplishment for a Country that primarily produces Flowers.

AMEN!
I have a minor quibble though . ..
It will come. We will prevail. We must. There is no alternative...
Rather than "it will come" . . .IT HAS BEGUN!
The OIC announcement about "Islamophobia" simply confirmed the ever growing counter-jihad movement has correctly identified Islam's "Achilles’ heel". . .having announced to the world it's most pressing concern is "islamophobia" (aka unfettered freedom of expression). This is absolute proof that the work being done by JihadWatch, Mark Steyn, MacCleans, Jylland Posten, Geert Wilders, Fjordman, Stephen Collins Coughlin, the late, great Oriana Fallaci, Theo van Gogh and an ever growing army of bloggers is making its impact, demolishing the fallacy of Islamic revisionist history and paradox of islamic peace.
RAISE THE VOLUME
We will prevail.
We must.
There is no alternative.

In a nutshell. I commend the Danish court for their clear thinking and unequivocal rejection of the lawsuit. Good for the Danes, they still have the blood of Viking warriors in their veins!

I went straight to the source (Reuters) to print a single copy of this article. I intend to place it in the break room at work. I'll let you know if the Thought Police pay me another visit.
Dig it: I made a copy of a wire-service article. One single copy. I predict a visit from the Thought Police, and I predict they will accuse me of "spreading" anti-Islamic material throughout the plant.
The last time they called me on the carpet, they, themselves, had a photocopy of the article in question--not one of the originals. There were several originals, and they included commentary from me. (The story was about Ahmajinedad wanting to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.)
No commentary, this time. Just the Reuters version of this news item. Just one. Single. Copy.

Flowerknife:
In regards to the Dutch, two large companies have already bowed fown to the Jordanian boycott:

It would appear that it is only a matter of time before the rest fall into line.

Thank you for the references. At least now I know which Dutch Company's are still worth supporting.
It is sad that some Company's would rather Grovel than make the effort to find alternative markets for their Products. Especially from a more appreciative consumer base.

Cheers & hats off to the High Court for western Denmark for such a sensible ruling. Particualry right-on is their response "It is a known fact that acts of terror have been carried out in the name of Islam and it is not illegal to make satire out of this relationship." Naturally such rationality is beyond the Muslim mind for which only the Koran makes any kind of sense, and so they’ll probably riot like mindless zombies.

how come our dear defenders of peaceful, tolerant Islam have nothing to say about the vicious, hate-inciting cartoons against Jews and Israel in the Arab press?? This phenomenon of Arab hate cartoons has been going on for many many years --many such cartoons appeared before the Six Day War in 1967. These hypocritical Arab-Muslim spokesmen have nothing to say about how their press and media slander Judaism and Jews.
