Hamas slams Fatah for violating the truce

In case you've left your scorecard at home, the State Department's version is that Hamas are the bloodthirsty jihad terrorists, while Fatah are the peaceful, pragmatic moderates. Of course, Fatah has never actually been that, and here is yet more proof.

"Hamas slams Fatah for shelling," from JTA, June 27 (thanks to the Constantinopolitan Irredentist):

Hamas criticized Fatah militants for undermining the Palestinian national interest by firing rockets into Israel.

In a statement carried by the official Palestinian news agency, Maa, Hamas leaders warned other militant factions against taking actions that threaten Hamas' cease-fire with Israel in the Gaza Strip.

Fatah's armed wing, the Al-Aksa Brigade, has fired several shells into Israel from Gaza since the June 19 cease-fire went into effect, and Islamic Jihad has fired rockets into Israel. Israel's military has not responded, but Israel has delayed reopening border crossings along the Gaza-Israel line.

After firing its rockets into Israel, Islamic Jihad reportedly said it will adhere to the truce terms.

After breaking the truce, Islamic Jihad reportedly said it will adhere to the truce terms.

It seems they just cannot let those bombs go to waste.

This is the Muslim terrorist version of "good cop/bad cop". Usually two of the terrorist groups agree to "peace" (good cop) while one group continues to engage in violence (bad cop). Usually it's Islamic Jihad that plays "bad cop", while Fatah plays "good cop" with Hamas swinging both ways. The only difference this time is that Fatah has abandoned its usual role of "good cop".The point is that the violence never ends. I know Israel wants peace but haven't they learned anything? There is no such thing as honor, morals or ethics in Islam, making any "peace" treaty meaningless.Peace came after WW2 when the world had had enough of the fascists in Japan and Germany. How much longer will the world put up with the fascists in the Middle East?

Well if Hamas is right and it was Fatah another terrorist group, then Fatah is trying to use Israel to fight their own war with Hamas...I don't really trust either one of them...

"Hamas leaders warned other militant factions against taking actions that threaten Hamas' cease-fire with Israel in the Gaza Strip"

Hey, how about firing those missiles at each other? Make yourselves useful.

Every so often Fatah has to demonstrate that it is just as rough-tough as Hamas, as a way of trying to get through the thick skulls of the True Believers that the Slow Jihadists (Fatah) and the Fast Jihadists (Hamas) don't have any differences on goals, but merely on timing (Hamas is less patient, Fatah more patient) because it wants to turn on the tap of Western aid; its warlords are not quite as "spiritual" as are those who lead Hamas and therefore can't quite bring themselves in the same way to choose, most temporarily, "peace as a strategic option.") and on tactics (Fatah likes now and then to pretend to abhor terrorism -- it always cheers Condoleezza Rice and Javier Solana up when they act out the charade, or just pretend to act it out).

This attack, then, is meant to embarrass Hamas, to underline the point that Hamas, in now agreeing to a "hudna" in order to get all those Israeli goods and services that the Gazan Arabs so indignantly believe are owed to them as if by right (the right of Allah, the right of the Best Of Peoples), is no different in the end from Fatah.

And the coin of all such demonstrations, by Fatah for Hamas, by Hamas for Fatah, by Hamas and Fatah for the Arabs or for the non-Arabs, is always that of attempts to murder Israeli civilians. That, after all, is what the Jews are there for, as far as the Gazan Arabs and the "West Bank" Arabs are concerned: to be murdered. Because they refuse to submit, and refuse to be dhimmis, so there is just no other way. Those exhaust the list of options. No other alternatives.

And even if we wanted to find another alternative (and we don't), we couldn't, for what Muslims must believe, and act on, was all written down nearly 1300 years ago, and then what was written in the Qur'an, and supposedly said and done by Muhammad as recorded in the Hadith and Sira, and then all of it commented on, winnowed, studied, made sense of, by Islamic commentators and scholars and muhaddithin more than a millennium ago, in the first centuries of Islam, and there's just nothing we can do about it. By now it's set in stone.

Sorry.

Hamas/Fatah, 'the lesser of the two evils is still evil...' But in this case there is no lesser, they are equally evil...

If only we had a time machine. I would personally go back and snuff the SOB.

The world would be so much better off.

Things bein the way they are...an asshole like him was prolly in the cards anyway and we'd get stuck with some other made up religion. Who knows?

After slugging you below the belt, I promise that I won't hit you.

Israel ought to start doing that -- fire a bunch of missiles at a Palestinian target, and then say, "Oops, I promise not to shoot first!"

"It seems they just cannot let those bombs go to waste."

Good one, Zena. They can't seem to understand that the whole purpose of a hudna is to rearm and strengthen your forces, and it will take all that much longer to do so if you expend your arsenal in the meantime. Geniuses, I guess not. Seriously, though, those 2 million arabs living the high life as Israeli citizens must be at least a little bit worried about the prospects of hamas conquerers turning the land back into a desert/islamic shithole or the mad mullahs turning it into glass.

This particular story reminded me of Benjamin Netanyahu's characterization of the difference between Fatah and Hamas (which many who post here probably already know). He observed that the distinction between the two is that Fatah calls for the destruction of Israel only in Arabic while Hamas addresses the importance of eradicating the Jewish state in both Arabic and English. Other than this (minus some Fatah folks wearing a Western suit and tie now and again) the difference between these two loser groups is inconsequential.

Hamas needs for the hudna to continue so they can complete their resupply of arms and supplies for their next offensive against Israel. They do not want the others to upset their applecart. Fear not, the IDF will do that when the time comes.

There have been riots in Kashmir as hundreds of thousands of muslims paralyzed the valley protesting against the transfer of some forest land to a Hindu shrine.

arjun.sevak , seems every Friday afternoon the musim horde pour out for protests. too bad the Hindu civilians do not have their own weapons to protect their property and themselves.

The Muslims marching in Kashmir story is in The Times today, albeit treated very gingerly and very briefly. I'm sure the story will be put up here.

This is acting jihad. A little song and dance routine for the folks. They don't really mean it. Just like they don't really mean they will keep any truces with Jews to begin with. How can Hamas or Fatah object to killing Jews, it's a 24/7 activity, and national sport. They aspire to do so, they live to do so, they have been trained since children to do so...an ongoing project. But there is trouble in the house. Sibling rivalry. There is a lot of water flowing under that bridge. Both brothers want to be in charge and run the show. Eventually they will re-unite and turn full attention to killing Israelis....Allah willing...and he always is...

===========================

"will adhere to the truce terms" only/ just/ merely until they can get their ammo replenished.

So: all you guys with 401(k)'s need to find some nice munitions companies to invest in. Doesn't look like the world is going to be caught up in an outbreak of peace anytime soon.
