Chadian sheik declares jihad on Christians and atheists "as far as Denmark"; 70 followers killed in clash with government forces

Motoons Rage comes to Chad, and meets up with an ingrained, general hatred of unbelievers. "Chad halts 'holy war' by Muslim leader, 70 killed," from Reuters, July 3:

Chad says its security forces have killed 66 followers of an Islamic spiritual leader who was threatening to launch a holy war against Christians and atheists from Africa to Europe.
The 28-year-old Muslim holy man, or sheikh Ahmat Ismael Bichara, was arrested after hundreds of his disciples armed with swords, spears, bows and clubs fought gendarmes armed with automatic rifles at a south-eastern village on Sunday and Monday.
Four members of the Chadian security forces were also killed and six wounded in the one-sided battles at Kouno, 300 kilometres south-east of the Chadian capital N'Djamena.
Bichara, his lip bloodied, wearing a white robe and reciting verses from the Koran, was presented by the authorities to journalists in N'Djamena overnight along with seven of his captured followers.
Ministers in the landlocked ethnically mixed African country, where just over the half the population is Muslim, said the Government had been obliged to act against the Islamic holy man to stop him triggering a religious war in the country.
"Since June 3, he has been calling on all Muslims to prepare to engage in a holy war against Christians and atheists, saying that the war would be launched from Chad to as far as Denmark," Security Minister Ahmat Mahamat Bachir said....
Cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammad published by newspapers in Denmark in 2006 touched off a wave of violent protests in Islamic countries.
Largely arid Chad has suffered waves of violence over the last few years, including not just raids over the eastern border from Sudan by Janjaweed militia and attacks by anti-government rebels, but also bloody clashes between Arab and non-Arab communities.

You're up awfully late, Marisol, and busy as a beaver. However, the news you bring, young lady, is as depressing as ever.

One useful thing about it is the benefit of the daily geography lesson. I always go learn a little about the place. Who are they? What do they do? What do they make? Does a future US president hail from there? You know, that sort of thing.

Chad.

Oy.

OK, immadashell, maybe not. But you could cross-post the opening comment over on the FITNA thread LOL.

I know I'm in the wrong place.

Time to go to bed.

Regards,

HAID

"Geez..talk about stupid. These people are going to die in one dumb ass fashion or another"

Mohammed's promised angels didn't show up. No slaughter, no slaves, no rape, no looting, nothing.

I am starting a petition to change the name of the terrorist group 'jangaweed' to 'ganjaweed'. Because that's what I say in my head every time I read about them.

"Rage comes to Chad, and meets up with an ingrained, general hatred of unbelievers."
-- from the introductory remark by Marisol to the article

That deep hostility to Unbelievers is everywhere in Muslim states and societies. It is the one thing that unifies. The Shi'a and the Sunnis may be at daggers drawn (unless the Shi'a can control the government and terrify the Sunnis, or vice-versa). The would-be "reformers" may hate the corrupt rulers (or, in the end, only wish to replace the current crop of corrupt rulers with themselves, as happens so often), but even those "reformers" who present themselves so plausibly to enthusiasts from outside share the general world-view that Islam provides, and all kinds of lionized "liberals" -- see Said Eddin Ibrahim in Egypt -- too often display not only an evident want of sympathy, or understanding, of the plight of Israel, and cannot really conceive of the rights of a non-Arab and non-Muslim people to a state of its own, to its own claims based on law, history, and morality.

In Lebanon today, Fuad Siniora and others are joining in, are indeed making it a point of "national unity" for everyone to hail the "great victory" of Hezbollah in its deal with Israel. In other words, Fuad Siniora, who has been depicted as a courageous leader -- it's all crap -- standing up to Hezbollah, and worthy of having hundreds of millions of Infidel (in this case American) dollars lavished upon him, is perfectly prepared to find a specious, and most temporary, "unity" in his immoral embrace of the troglodytic Nasrallah and his followers, both the calculating and the hysterical. He is prepared to join in a chorus of praise for the trade, by which members of Hezbollah, handed over by Israel, are in the view of Siniora to be celebrated, not ignored. And he sees nothing wrong with this, nothing wrong with a specious "national unity" based on an exhibition of moral collapse, for his Islam, and the worldview of Islam, have tainted his mind, have made him incapable of inhabiting the same moral universe as Western non-Muslim man, whatever Siniora's clothes, or his pretense to being a member of an advanced, non-Western society. He's like those besuited Iraqis caught on tape by MEMRI, Islamic experts who self-assuredly spout the most incredible nonsense, either about little Aisha, or about Western conspiracies, or any number of things -- behind the clothes, and behind the outward aspect that looks so misleadingly Western, we find a primitive, the mind-forged manacles of Islam, in such cases manacling his very mind.

Siniora will hail the sickening spectacle of trhe bodies of two Israeli soldiers, captured alive though wounded, and then executed in cold blood (as the Israeli government knows perfectly well), being traded for Hezbollah "heroes." One of those "heroes" -- not a member of Hezbollah but one more of the same type -- is Samir Kuntar. He will be hailed. His village will come out to celebrate his great deeds. One of his great deads of derring-do was to smash the head of a four-year-old girl. I can't remember if he did it after he killed her father, or if he had the great pleasure, as the Nazis did, of killing her in front of her father, and then killing him.

In any case, we need to know nothing more about Fuad Siniora, as we need to know little more about many of those whom we mistakenly think of, or depict in our popular press, as "our friends" and "our allies" because, here and there, they seem (or are opposed) to some corrupt regime (that of Mubarak, or the Al-Saud) or to some group, such as Hezbollah, that is indeed hateful and dangerous. But don't be fooled. Islam contaminates the whole atmosphere; it affects not only deeply-devout Muslims but all those who rush to the defense of Islam, whose being is so tied up, through their Arab identity, their "Arabness" ('Uruba) which, after all, is so closely wedded to the idea of Islam, the great Arab gift to the world, so much so as to explain the otherwise inexplicable phenomenon of the islamochristian.

Remember what this celebration for Samir Kuntar, the child-killer, being hailed, tells us. It tells us about the moral collapse of all those who join in that celebration, all those who are not disgusted by that celebration. And that must now include Fuad Siniora.

And what else does the exchange of two bodies, of murdered men, for the live bodies of captured Hezbollah members who were taken care of, their wounds healed (how many enemy soldiers, how many terrorists, if wounded, are given the best medical care in Israeli hospitals, the same care given to Israelis? Doesn't that tell us something? Isn't that worth, at the U.N. or the E.U., or in the European press that savages Israel night and day, worth pondering, and worth drawing some conclusions about?)

Think of how, after both the 1967 war, and the 1973 war, Israel exchanged tens of thousands of Arab soldiers, alive and well, for a handful of Israelis -- a handful, because we all know perfectly well how Arab soldiers behave, and what they do to so many of those they capture. In the 1948 war, with the single exception of the British-lead Arab Legion, the same grim story.

But Islam, the aggression and hate of Islam, which explains so many things -- including, by the way, the impossibility of Sunnis ever accepting their loss of power in Iraq, or the Shi'a ever conceivably conceding to the Sunnis what the Sunnis want, because the worldview of both is not that of compromise and sweet reason, but of power, and triumph, of the Victor, and of the Vanquished. That is the view that Islam, and the model of Muhammad, encourage. It can't be otherwise. So Western non-Islamic man must not "work with Islam" - with such "moderates" as Fuad Siniora, now hailing -- even if for reasons of short-term calculation that do long-term moral damage to Lebanon -- Hezbollah, or others who are not wonderful fellows and our "would-be allies" but only a group perhaps slightly less dangerous or offensive, for the moment, in our through-the-glass-darkly perception of things.

No, Western man, to save his own societies, must work to divide, demoralize, and ultimately weaken, the Camp of Islam. It must work to diminish the size of the Money Weapon, and the ability of Saudi Arabia and other Muslim states and peoples to deploy that weapon in the West. It must work to make sure that no other Muslim state -- it is too late for Pakistan, but Pakistan's ability to deliver such weaponry can be limited (Pakistan can be threatened with with a destruction so complete that the "Land of the Pure" would dissolve, as it may in any case, into permanently warring and impoverished fiefdoms, of each against each) -- ever acquires such weaponry. And in the Western world, the Muslim presence can be limited, its size reversed, its every attempt to change, slowly or rapidly, the political and legal institutions of our varied Western countries opposed, and Muslims themselves confronted with, even surrounded by, the most dangerous of all Infidels: those who know what Islam, its texts, its tenets, its natural atttiudes, is all aboput. That for some will prove intolerable.

How difficult is it to identify terrorism with islam? how difficult is it for the elites to logical look at people like "Siniora " as weak and effective learders when they allow Hez boys to control their governments. Let their rich saudi uncles pay for their debt! no more tax money from hard working Western people go to these islamists savages.

Cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammad published by newspapers in Denmark in 2006 touched off a wave of violent protests in Islamic countries.

The inconvenient truth is that it didn't happen for months. The cartoons were old news before the Muslim world learned of them. The sentence above suggests that the Islamic protests happened upon the publication of the cartoons. Not so.

Only Allah is 'Holy'. There is no such thing as a Holy man. The impostor must be punished. He is guilty of shirk. His followers are apostates for worshiping him. Only Allah may be worshipped.

There is something wrong in the Islamic paradise of Chad. But I'm sure the enlightened authorities will 'fix' it...

Alaskan is right. Good job Darwin was on the ball. swords/gunfight.
/Those JW readers who are not memebers of the National Rifle Association should really consider joining. The recent Supreme Court decision was a narrow 5/4.

Oh, those are good. The last one conjures up the scene in "Raiders of the Lost Ark" where Indiana Jones whips out his pistol to handily shoot dead the sword-wielding, black-turban wearing (direct descendant of Mohammad?) jihadist. (Check it out on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DzcOCyHDqc ). Indie had it right about how to deal with these people.
