All that the truce between Israel and Hamas has done, is (somewhat) prevent the 'organization' of Hamas, from attacking Israel. Meanwhile, it does absolutely nothing to prevent Palestinians 'in general' from attacking Israel. There is also no particular group or person which Israel can negotiate with, for a truce. The only thing Israel can do, is boost security and hope for the best. That's all any of us can do...

They've become horrible words to hear or read, just as the very mention of Islam now elicits sundry negative thoughts by millions upon millions across the earth, with the number of these millions growing yearly. The inability of so many to relate "terrorism" to the presence of Muslims, and to understand that "terrorism" (as we Infidels have no trouble defining it) is for many or most Muslims merely another, updated, form of combat or "qitaal," and furthermore to understand that even in its true form, "qitaal" or "combat" is only one, and not the most effective or most dangerous, instrument of Jihad, disturbs.

Look at this act. When Eric Westervelt on NPR quoted the police chief of Jerusalem Dudi Cohen as believing that the Arab had "acted alone" and that, therefore -- it seemed that Westervelt was implicating Cohen in his own misunderstanding -- this couldn't be an act of "terrorism," one had to rub one's eyes in disbelief.

Look. Conspiracies require two or more people.
But terrorism does not. The lone Muslim, who has perhaps rediscovered his Islam, like the boy who, having graduated at the half-year from Chapel Hill, and at loose mental ends, had rediscovered --because his parents had allowed him to retain his Muslim identity, instead of forthrightly severing the family's link with Islam -- Islam, started to find in it solace and a Complete Explanation of the Universe, and then, to perform a deed that might justify his wretched existence, got hold of a car and attempted to run down fellow Chapel Hill students in a pedestrian concourse known as "The Pit."

It takes two to tango. It takes two to conspire. It does not take two to plan or commit an act of terrorism.

What happened in Jerusalem yesterday was an act of murder, of attempted murder, and of terrorism.

There have been many attacks that we would describe as sudden jihad syndrome that the "authorities" discount as the isolated work of a sick mind. Examples: the LAX 4th of July gunman, the Egypt Air pilot who crashed his plane, the Beltway snipers. I am curious about other incidents that are swept under the rug, not to be discussed in "polite" society. Here are two:
1.) The French soldier who opened up on a crowd at Carcasonne recently. He thought he was firing blanks?
2.) The Air Canada flying officer (copilot?) who had to be restrained in the cockpit due to a mental problem
Perhaps I am overly suspicious, but our "leaders" would do well to provide full information on incidents like these if only to make suspicious types like me stfu.

This is so true. Here's a story from a few days ago in The East Bay Express, which covers the story of an Oakland gangbanger and rapper going by the street name of "Pretty Black".

It sounds as though he robbed some rival gang members of drug money, and was killed in retaliation. What makes this different from any number of depressing drug killings, though, is the threatening message left on "Pretty's" site just hours before his murder, which read in part:

"Pretty Black robbed the wrong people in East Oakland and didn't know who he go we got something for u and your not going any where . . . next time you should of killed us there is not next time ALLAH AKBAR WE WILL C U ANYWHERE"

Now, I have absolutely no reason to thing that these particular thugs were actual Muslims, either mainstream Muslims or Black Muslims. As semi-literate as they are, though, clearly they realized how threatening "Allah Akbar" is.

Another hero in the Jaffa Road was a young Jewish man, recently from the UK, Jeremy Aronson (i.e. 'Aaron's son') who risked his life to snatch a little baby girl out of a car that the jihadi assassin had just attacked and which was attacked again and completely crushed moments later. The details are unclear and the story varies a bit in the different reports, but judging from Aronson's own account he had only a very short time (I think assisted by some others who helped with the car door) to reach in and seize the baby and get her away. Had Mr Aronson run from the scene of mayhem, rather than towards it, that little baby would have been among the dead.

I remember reading a story on an Israeli English-language blog, some time ago, about a suicide assassin (female) who was stopped at the entrance to a crowded supermarket, by a middle-aged Israeli Jewish security guard. He was heard saying to the Arab female jihadi, as they struggled, something like, 'You are not going in there. You and I are blowing up right here'. She managed to detonate herself; she killed him, of course, and people round about; but thanks to his smarts and courage she wasn't able to kill anywhere near as many people as she'd have done had she gotten inside.

Moshe and Aronson are made of the same holy stuff as that guard who died stopping a suicide assassin. Pure human gold.

Who says the attack was over? It was only over when Dawyyat was shot, not because he had ceased trying to kill people.

When I first read the book I was appalled, but assumed that Mahmoody's husband was probably crazy. I had no idea at the time that he represents and all too common type.

Unfortunately, Dawyyat's Infidel ex-girlfriend represents a pretty common type, also. Despite his abuse and violence towards her, she is all too ready to excuse his murderous actions, and to blame the brave men who ended his killing spree instead of him or his sick ideology.

Hugh, I suppose to the people on the bus as they watch the bulldozer ram and then lift the bus over on its side, the feeling of fright they felt throughout the ordeal could be described as a minor inconvenience. What they felt was more attuned to ...? like the jolt from caffeine after you drank what you thought was decaf.

The press and the authorities are playing a condescending form of psychology on what they believe are the simpletons of Islam spread throughout the world. They fear copycat acts occurring, and after every act such as this bulldozer clown they try to tamp down any thoughts within other Islamists who may also begin to question their goodness as a person of Islamist beliefs. Too complicated to get into the details of this psychology and its tactics, but I want to believe these psychological/sociological band-aids on the Islamist mind and mentality may actually keep things at bay. It may be good to have the media portray these individuals as different from those peaceful ones of Islam.

Of course, as you and I know, the better solution is to find a way to get close enough to then pierce the jugular of the Beast. We will relish those historic moments for the rest of our lives, standing there and watching this dinosaur die. God almighty a man couldn't ask for a more glorious moment in life then to be called and to partake of such a noble deed: to kill the legitimacy of this Beast and in affect (effect?) to rid it off the earth.

They could very well be mainstream Muslims. Far from being semi-literate they could very well be immigrants. They might have a poor grasp of English but that doesn't make them illiterate. We set a trap for ourselves if we think they're stupid or that someone else is using Islam for his own ends and that "mainstream" Muslims don't think or act this way.
Even American-born Muslims can do this. Remember the DC sniper, John Allen Muhammad, and his Jamaican companion, John Lee Malvo. They left notes at their murder scenes as well.

Not every Muslim has to be a 'holy struggler'. The problem, as we pointed out many times is that the Wahhabi-funded American Muslim establishment that claims to represent all Muslims does not. There is a sizable minority, roughly one third (check our polls - http://www.reformislam.org/polls/ - to see a clearer picture) that doesn’t buy this ‘Dar al-Islam vs. Dar al-Harb’ BS. But what can you expect when 80%+ of the mosques that are run by the Wahhabis and almost every civic organization, i.e., CAIR, ISNA, MPAC, MAS, MSA, etc. continue to indoctrinate Muslims and prepare them for future war. We bitch and moan about what’s going on in Saudi Arabia or Iran, but the same crap is going on in American Muslim community.

Islamic (or any other) Orthodoxy doesn’t make sense. Supremacy of any religion is the same as racial supremacy. And we all know what happened to the Aryan super humans. We are pragmatists. Nothing else makes sense.

If you are trying to explain Sudden Jihad Syndrome to anyone under the age of 30, and your interlocutor is a Star Wars fan, try explaining that the multiple Quranic injunctions to 'fight the unbelievers and let them find harshness in you', 'to slay and be slain in the cause of allah', to 'kill them wherever you find them', may usefully be compared to 'Order 66' as featured in George Lucas's Star Wars movie, 'Revenge of the Sith'.

Once the program is 'activated' - and almost anything may do as a trigger, it doesn't require a 'central command', though right at the moment, like Emperor Palpatine in the movie, many jihadi bosses are in fact explicitly sending activation signals - the Mohammedan, either in company or alone, will start attacking Infidels.
