Who said that? Spencer? Bostom? Trifkovic? Davis? Some other greasy Islamophobe?
Nope. It was Momin Khawaja, now on trial in Ontario on terror charges, writing mash notes to his beloved. Of course, the Correct Thinkers would have us believe that Momin Khawaja is yet another Misunderstander of Islam, a benighted fellow who somehow missed the Qur'an's many injunctions of peace and tolerance. Yet still glaringly absent from the scene is the peaceful Muslim group that will teach Muslims -- not eager-to-be-reassured non-Muslims -- that guns, warfare and weaponry are not instruments that enable a Muslim to carry out the obligation of the Jihad, and should indeed be eschewed forever in favor of peaceful coexistence with non-Muslims as equals on an indefinite basis, under a government that does not establish a religion. The learned analysts continue to assume, without evidence, that most Muslims want this kind of coexistence, and indeed, that they are working for it.
"Emails criticize 'West's dominance,'" by Richard Brennan in the Toronto Star, July 15 (thanks to all who sent this in):
Here's a sampling of what Momin Khawaja wrote in a series of emails in 2003 with Zeba Khan during an Internet courtship:• "For a sincere Muslim, guns, warfare and weaponry are a means of defense, a means of deliverance and something which enables him to carry out the obligation of the Jihad . . . a war-like mentality is needed against the . . . governments, armies, supporters because they are at war with us. America is at war with Islam, Israel is at war with Islam . . . how can we put down arms, when today we are in our worst state ever. Country after country is taken over, yet no one is willing to fight."
• "Not a day goes by, that I do not wish to be with the Mujahideen in the front-lines of Jihad."
• "I get really cheesed when I turn on the TV and see all the negative propaganda directed against Islam, the insidious kind, the one where all the badguys in the movies are Muslim terrorists and the evil villain in the movie is a corrupt religious figure and all the women in hijab are oppressed . . . There are no positive Muslim characters in the media these days."
OTTAWA–Momin Khawaja said in a 2003 email that he couldn't stand by and watch "blood-thirsty" imperialists attack Afghanistan and other Muslim countries while he held down a cushy 9-to-5 job.
"There is no excuse deep down, just reaping the benefits of life in the West," wrote Khawaja, who was arrested four years ago and is now on trial in Ontario Superior Court on seven terrorism-related charges, including allegedly funding known terrorists and building a device to be used to explode a 600-kilogram fertilizer bomb in a failed attack on London.
"I was not content with the idea of a 9-to-5 life where you just put on a smiley face and pretend you can't do anything, change anything, while the muslim (sic) world is in flames," the now 29-year-old computer programmer said in an Aug. 8, 2003, email to his former Pakistani fiancée.
Almost 200 pages of emails, most of them related to the courtship between Khawaja and Zeba Khan, 23, were released to the public yesterday. Khawaja worked for the Department of Foreign Affairs as a software developer.
Khawaja wrote that to do nothing was to "watch the West's dominance, blood-thirsty imperialism, and the Ummah's (Muslim world's) oppression. It's just like Bush said ... you are either on their side or our side."
If only Bush had followed through on that.

The enemy within that will not stop to kill and fulfill their religious obligation dictated in the Koran and examples of emulating, a successful life as a Muslim, the perfect man Muhammad. It is sad that many non infidels are at great peril because of the willingness not to show the dangers inherent in the teachings of Islam, by our politicians, academics, MSM, and spiritual leaders. As result of this the danger remains and at any time one will slip by unfortunately.

-- from the article above, quoting an email by Momin Khawaja
This was to a fellow Muslim, Zeba Khan, but it also could have been sent to a non-Muslim. Note the comically colloquial "I get really cheesed" and the indignation expressed about "the image of Muslims in Hollywood" (move over, Jack Sheehan) complaint.
Of course we all know that there are hardly any "badguys" who are "Muslim terrorists"; Hollywood, Bollywood, quasi-defunct Cinecitta, the French and the Russian and all others who make movies, have gone out of their way not to depict Muslims doing what the daily news shows us Muslims doing. Why, just the other day, in Great Britain, a made-for-television movie showed a decapitation by a faith-based fanatic -- a Christian, beheading a Muslim.
What leant this unrealty or sur-reality show a certain piquancy is that there is not a single case anyone can point to, in modern times (I won't go back to the sword-play of the Crusades), of a single Christian decapitating a single Muslim. But we have videos all over the place, videos proudly made by and proudly disseminated on videocassettes and over the Internet, of Muslims decapitating Christians (oh, and Jews, Hindus, and Buddhists too).
One hopes that the Canadians writing about the case of Momin Khawaja will make careful note of this absurdity, not the first, and not the last, in his world, a world seen through the distorting prism of Islam, Islam, Islam.
As Wafa Sultan has noted, anyone raised on a steady diet of Islam who takes it all in, whether that Islam has been force-fed or voluntarily imbibed, becomes, effectively, crazed or cretinized, or both.

"For a sincere Muslim, guns, warfare and weaponry are a means of defense, a means of deliverance and something which enables him to carry out the obligation of the Jihad . . ."
Is this what passes for erotica, in Islam? A little weiner in prison, who wants to be a great big mujahideen? Is this what accelerates the Muslimah's heartbeat? Is this what makes a Muslimah swoon?
Is a "sincere" Muslim a babe-magnet?
What does she write back, I wonder...
"For a sincere Muslimah, spousal abuse, self loathing, and the search for Paradise under the foot of her man, are a means of deliverance and something that enables her to carry out the obligation of Womb Jihad.
Not a day goes by that I don't long to be out in public with my man, wearing my new burq'a, and walking behind him.
I get really cheesed, when I read Jihad Watch, and see all the negative propaganda about genital mutilation, beatings, female child marriages, and oppressed Muslim women. It's insidious, the way big, strong, hairy Muslim men are made to look like bad guys, and the way women are advised not to revert for these men!"
Quick, someone-- Where did I leave my Pepto- Bismol!

"There are no positive Muslim characters in the media these days", he whined.
Surely, as a Canadian, he's seen 'Little Mosque on The Prairie', no?

I see Hugh has already dissected this thought.
The irony of his statement is actually funny.
What should we have on OUR TVs?
Let's see....Arabic music, a moslem hero as he slices and dices his way through the population of the US, a murderer to love?
at July 16, 2008 9:39 AM
And, (on second thought) we already do have positive representation of moslems in the media, every time anything happens concerning them we get the "hijacked religion" speech.
When moslems are in a plot line on TV, it always ends up to be the evil white guy as the perp.

Meaning Momin Khawaja

So this is how the jihadis try to pick up girls on the internet?
And to think that Americans waste all that time talking about love........

"I get really cheesed when I turn on the TV and see all the negative propaganda directed against Islam, the insidious kind, the one where all the badguys in the movies are Muslim terrorists and the evil villain in the movie is a corrupt religious figure ...."
He's right about the movie villains being corrupt religious figures; but they're Christians, not Moslems. These days, virtually any time someone in a movie is presented as a believing Christian they are fools or frauds, if not actually the chief villain. For example, I just watched "The Mist" on a dvd; the chief villainess was a fundamentalist who kept redaing from the Book of Revelation.
And a really overworked Hollywood cliche is the evil brotherhood or secret society where all the baddies are cloaked in monks' robes, with hoods up. The hooded monks' robe has become the way to recognize the bad guy, just like the black hat in the old Westerns. Note the evil emperor in the "Star Wars" series.
"There are no positive Muslim characters in the media these days."
"There is no excuse deep down, just reaping the benefits of life in the West,"
He could have become a positive character himself -- he was educated, with a good job, enjoying the benefits of the West. He could have joined, or organized, a moderate Moslem group dedicated to speaking out against evils like FGM, honor-killing, suicide-bombing, etc. But no, he decided to become a terrorist himself, re-inforcing the negative stereotype of Moslems. He decided to strike out at the West, which had given him so many benefits.

Hey momin, that's not a movie you''re watching, it's a newsreel. Hollywood only uses Nazis and Federal Agents as bad guys.
What an idiot.

Oh the poor bastard doesn't like the way people see muslims?
Who cares. Clean up your own house. When I see muslim terrorists who have the blood of children on thier hands being praised as heroes that really "cheeses me off".
As part of a 1979 terror attack in the Israeli coastal town of Nahariya, Kuntar shot dead 28-year-old Danny Haran in front of his 4-year-old daughter Einat Haran, then drowned Danny Haran in the sea to confirm the kill. Kuntar then smashed Einat Haran’s head on rocks and crushed her skull with his rifle butt.
So you are "cheesed off"? Screw you, creep.

We can't trust any off them. I know we need to seperate Muslims from Islam but it is hard. The Quran says we are the enemy who must submit or die. This at the core of the faith.
No matter how nice a Muslim couple is they can have a son who dreams of killing all of us. We see it all the time.

Muslim man may lose his job because of beard
http://www.ndtv.com/convergence/ndtv/story.aspx?id=NEWEN20080057311&ch=7/16/2008%209:21:00%20AM
Aftab Ahmad may lose his job if he doesn't shave his beard. He joined the Air Force as corporal seven years ago when he was 17.
Three years ago, the Air Force permitted him to grow a beard but a month later, Aftab was told to shave it off as per air force regulations.
Another person Zubair too had a similar story. Both moved the Punjab and Haryana High Court and got a stay.
But now, the court has decided the case in favour of the Air Force.
''The honorable judge has given a reasoning that it is not essential for a Muslim to keep a beard but now the question is that the regulation say that a true Muslim, if wants to keep a beard he should be permitted to keep a beard,'' says Navkiran Singh, lawyer for Aftab and Zubair.
In 2003, the Air Force issued an instruction that said all Muslims who had beard at the time of recruitment and who joined the Force before the 1st of January 2002 can sport a beard. But there was a restriction on its length.
Elders in the Muslim community are not amused.
''Beard is must in Islam. Muslims should have beard without even to offer Nimaz,'' says Maulana Mohd Ajmal Khan, Imam, Jama Masjid, Chandigarh.
The two Air Force men are not giving up. They will continue their fight in the court. And if they fail to get any relief they say they are willing to sacrifice their job and not their beard.

Another misunderstood Muslim just like the other misunderstood Muslim family in Canada, the Khadrs. As I read on-line reports from Canada, the Khadr family is busy milking the Canadian welfare system and free medical care for a jihadi son while bad mouthing Canada. Khawaza continues that fine Muslim tradition. Canadians, please wake up: the green slimes have nothing to contribute to your society. They only know to take and subvert. Trust me, in India, we know them only too well.

Ruebacca: I agree with you that we really can't trust any Muslims, especially those in Western countries. I tend to divide Muslims not between radical and moderate but rather between active and passive. Active Muslims are those who are ready to implement all or almost all that Islam encourages them to do. They can either be the deed doers themselves or enthusiastic supporters of such actors. Passive Muslims are bumps-on-the-log types who are Muslim in their everyday life, pretty much the way most Christians, Jews, Hindus, etc. are.
In and of themselves, passive Muslims are not that much of a threat, but two main problems exist with them, one of which you mentioned. The first is that they're biding their time and waiting to see who prevails in this great struggle we're now in, their more active brethren or the non-Muslim world. They show little courage and are pretty much useless across the board. After all, when there is yet another Muslim-perpetrated atrocity in the world (pretty much a daily event), these passive types are nowhere to be seen denouncing the violence unconditionally. They're also clueless, it seems to me, for just being Muslim. So, I would prefer they didn't exist in Western countries and I certainly don't think more should be allowed to immigrate to the West.
The second problem with passive Muslims is what you mentioned and that is that you never know when they're going to have a son or daughter who wants to become an active believer. When that happens, look out. All the hate and intolerance which lies embedded in Islamic theology will manifest itself and such Muslims then become a danger to Western liberties and Western states at large. In short, they act traitorously, if not technically legally, at least in spirit they do.
Thus, like you, I don't trust any Muslims. Since we're not in a court of law but live (or should live) in the court of common sense, any Muslim for me is guilty until proven innocent. And even then I still wonder why such a person would want to remain a believer in Islam, though I appreciate that leaving the faith could endanger a Muslim as well as cut him or her off from relatives. Nonetheless, a Muslim-free West would be the ideal. At least we have to keep their numbers down through every legal means at our disposal because democracy and other good Western developments like women's rights and true equlity under the law are incompatible with the Islamic faith.

Khawaja wrote that to do nothing was to "watch the West's dominance, blood-thirsty imperialism, and the Ummah's (Muslim world's) oppression
sounds like to me he is just your average muslim winer pissed of because in the west muslims are just one more religion, and not the dominant faith and political system like it is in most of the middle east that lets muslims get away with rape (kidnapping coptic girls rapping them and forcing them to become muslims) ect funny how muslims are some of the biggest oppressors when they are in power and the biggest cry baby's imo when they are not

Caliphate News Networx discovers Sally Neighbour whose heart bleeds for 'angry' Muslims:
http://edition.cnn.com/CNNI/Programs/untoldstories/blog/
7/16/08
Dangerous Ground
We set out to do this story after hearing anecdotal accounts of a rising sense of alienation and resentment among young Australian Muslim men, a result of the fallout from September 11 and the Bali bombings, and the subsequent "war on terror."
Their typical experience is being yelled at in the street: "Go back to where you came from. We don't want you here."
But the fact is 40 percent of Australian Muslims were born here. They have nowhere else to go.
I felt this story was important, not just because everyone deserves to feel at home in the country of their birth, but because I know from my own research on terrorism that alienation is a key factor in the evolution of disillusioned individuals toward terrorism.
The first obstacle we faced in making the program was getting anyone to talk to us. Muslim groups and communities are deeply suspicious and resentful toward the media, which they feel has stigmatised them.
Many groups and individuals we approached refused to co-operate, out of (an often legitimate) fear that they would be typecast as "the bad guys" or potential terrorists.
Thankfully some of them decided it was worth taking the risk, in order to have their say.
Another difficulty was distilling the historic and political complexities of the current global Islamist insurgency into a 45-minute television program. We think the results are revealing and disturbing.
-- From reporter Sally Neighbour
I saw the first part and it really gave me the s#*ts..!

anti-islamocommunist - interesting news item. I gather the two Muslim Air Force men who are " not giving up" and who "say they are willing to sacrifice their job and not their beard", are in India?
If so: I hope the Indian Air Force will stick to their guns, figuratively speaking, and make them choose. I think the Hindus and Sikhs and the odd Christian or Buddhist, in the Indian Air Force, will be much better off without Muslim fifth columnists and potential traitors in their midst.
After all, we can see, from the posted article, a classic example of a Muslim jihadist fifth-columnist, in a strategic position - in a potentially extremely dangerous (for Infidels) position - in Canada:
"Khawaja worked for the Department of Foreign Affairs as a software developer."
::shudder::
How many more Khawajas are there? - scattered all over the non-Muslim lands, burrowed into Departments of Foreign Affairs, and police forces, and judiciaries, and crucial public utilities, and...and...fill in the blanks, yourself.
