More demands; more threats. "Hamas, Islamic Jihad threaten to end Gaza Strip cease-fire," by Khaled Abu Toameh, for the Jerusalem Post, July 19:
One month after the cease-fire agreement in the Gaza Strip came into effect, Hamas said over the weekend that it might end the truce because of Israel's "continued failure to honor the agreement."Such as wearing distinctive, yellow clothing, and non-matching shoes, perhaps?Hamas also said that it was convinced that "sooner or later, Israel would give in to our conditions" regarding the case of kidnapped IDF St-Sgt. Gilad Schalit.
Abu Obaidah, a spokesman for Hamas's armed wing, Izaddin Kassam, the group that is holding the IDF soldier, claimed that Israel's "intransigence" was behind the delay in achieving an agreement over a prisoner release.
Referring to the recent deal between Israel and Hizbullah, Abu Obaidah expressed hope that it would serve as an incentive for a new agreement between Israel and Hamas.
"Hamas considers the deal with Hizbullah an honorable achievement for the Lebanese resistance," he said. "This deal also proves that Israel's criterion for releasing [security] prisoners has been shattered. In the past, Israel refused to free prisoners serving lengthy sentences."
He expressed confidence that Israel would eventually succumb on the case of Schalit.
"Sooner or later Israel will have to accept our conditions," he added. "Unless Israel accepts all of our demands, there will be no agreement."
[...]He said that the problem until now was Israel's "reluctance" to accept Hamas's demands. "Israel is continuing with its stubbornness," he charged. "But following the deal with Hizbullah, there are growing calls inside Israel for striking a deal with Hamas at any price."
[...]Abu Obaidah warned that failure to comply with Hamas's demands would prompt the movement to kidnap more IDF soldiers in the future to release Palestinian prisoners. Accusing Israel of failing to abide by the cease-fire agreement by refusing to reopen the border crossings into the Gaza Strip, Abu Obaidah said he did not rule out the possibility that Hamas and the rest of the Palestinian factions would end the truce.
"We will end the truce and resume our operations against Israel to force it to reopen the border crossings," he said. He also warned Israel against invading the Gaza Strip, saying that the Palestinians were prepared more than ever to thwart such an offensive.
[...]The Islamic Jihad organization also threatened to end the truce. Nafez Azzam, a senior Jihad official in the Gaza Strip, accused Israel of failing to live up to its commitments under the terms of the cease-fire accord.

Oh, I wouldn't worry about any silly ol' invasion, Mr. P.O.S. Abu Obaidah. There are, by far, lots of more devastating things those mean Israelis can do to you without ever stepping foot in your little sh$thole.
So, go ahead. Break your stupid hudna (again) and let's see what happens. Go ahead - I'm waiting for one excellent show!
Slime. (My apologies to real slime out there.)

Israel should warm Abu Babu that they will need body bags for their Hammaas terrorists cowards and a shovel to scope them in the bags would be a wise choice of implements to have on hand.

If it were the Chinese or the Russians Abu Obaidah was sitting next to, I don't think he'd be making quite so much noise; because he'd know that if he stuck one hairy toe out of line he'd be annihilated, human shields or no human shields.
Skiting, swaggering, strutting and dreaming of the delicious pleasure of satisfying his psychopathic sadistic urges: a perfect specimen of his kind.
Let's hear from A Carlebach once again, a clear-headed Jewish Zionist writing in Ma'ariv in 1955:
"These Arab Islamic countries do not suffer from poverty, or disease, or illiteracy, or exploitation; they only suffer from the worst of all plagues: Islam.
"Wherever Islamic psychology rules, there is the inevitable rule of despotism and criminal aggression.
‘The danger lies in Islamic psychology, which cannot integrate itself into the world of efficiency and progress, that lives in a world of illusion, perturbed by attacks of inferiority complexes and megalomania, lost in dreams of the holy sword.
"The danger stems from the totalitarian conception of the world, the passion for murder deeply rooted in their blood, from the lack of logic, the easily inflamed brains, the boasting, and above all: the blasphemous disregard for all that is sacred to the civilized world...their reactions -- to anything -- have nothing to do with good sense.
"They are all emotion, unbalanced, instantaneous, senseless. It is always the lunatic that speaks from their throat.
"You can talk 'business' with everyone, and even with the devil. But not with Allah...
"This is what every grain in this country [eretz Israel] shouts. There were many great cultures here, and invaders of all kinds. All of them -- even the Crusaders -- left signs of culture and blossoming.
"But on the path of Islam, even the flies have died.
"We pile sin upon crime when we distort the picture and reduce the discussion to a conflict of border between Israel and her neighbors...The heart of the conflict is not the question of the borders; it is the question of Muslim psychology.....".
Observe Abu Obaidah. Observe the miserable condition of Gaza..and Jenin, and Ramallah, and the rest. And reflect on the bleak truth as expressed by Carlebach, abundantly demonstrated in every Muslim country, in this and in all centuries back to the 7th: "Wherever Islamic psychology rules, there is the inevitable rule of despotism and criminal aggression."
And hope that Israel and all other countries who have to deal with the myriad Imitators of Mohammed, such as Abu Obaidah, can wake up, fast, and achieve the clarity of Churchill, who had fought jihadists in Afghanistan and in Sudan:
"No terms but fight or death were offered. No reparation or apology could be made. . . The red light of retribution played on the bayonets and the lances, and civilization—elsewhere sympathetic, merciful, tolerant, ready to discuss or to argue, eager to avoid violence, to submit to law, to effect a compromise—here advanced with an expression of inexorable sternness, and rejecting all other courses, offered only the arbitration of the sword." - Sir Winston Churchill - The River Wars.

As to young Staff Sgt. Ghalit
..one day at a time without electricity and water..
..the USA cut off water to Vera Cruz (the entire city) during the Mexican war..4 days of shot and bombardment and no HOH...the Palis with their Bunny Rabbits and Cartoons for (Jihadists-in-the-making)ie the "adult" versions of the brain dead, walking Zombies have been treated with such unbelievable restraint on Israel's part...as I said above
...one day at a time without electricity and water..and maybe then the Sheiks will cut off their beards and burn them for heat in their hovels..while still bonking their chins 5x daily...anyone else on board with this?

Quoted in the posting by "dumbledore's army" -- somewhere between Alice Springs and Watkins Tench's Botany Bay -- is the paragraph by Churchill above. Many are familiar with the quote about Islam from "River Wars" but I was unfamiliar with what I take to be another part of it, not so frequently quoted.
How well put: "and civilization -- elsewhere sympathetic, merciful, tolerant, ready to discuss or to argue, to effect a compromise -- here advanced with an expression of inexorable sternness, and rejecting all other courses, offered only the arbitration of the sword."
Apply that the phrase mutatis mutandis, of course, with the sword being replaced by missiles and planes, in possible skies over Natanz, or Nablus, or the Hamas nests of Gazan Arabs.

If I was Hamas, Id do the same thing. If Olmert and his cronies are hell bent on appeasing the Palis and her other enemies, Id up the ante too. Until Israel removes Olmert and finds her spine again, this will continue and dont expect any sympathy from me. Everything thats happening to Israel now is of her own doing. I am done feeling sorry for people committed to suicide.

Jihadi leader warns Israel "that failure to comply with Hamas's demands would prompt the movement to kidnap more IDF soldiers in the future to release Palestinian prisoners"
Israel should tell Mr. Jihadi that failure to comply with Israel's demands would prompt Israel to resume assassinations of Hamas' leadership, until they're all gone.
Come to think of it, that would do more to bring peace to the Middle East than any other thing Israel could do.

I guess they've had time to reload, and now they're ready to fight again.

The Muslims have had plenty of opportunities and time to return Schalit. Their attitude towards the release of a single captive (and there is no guarrantee that he is even alive) just helps confirm my belief that Islam absolutely will not bend one bit and that their attitude is absolutely evil.

Yet another example in the history of man of the forces of anti-civilization making threats to a portion of the civilized world, in this case Hamas et al. towards the Israeli state. Nothing new here whatsoever. Anti-civilization elements thrive on threats. Always have. Always will. Bluff is one of their chief recourses. And that's why the bluff of barbarians should always be called.
My only concern here is that Israel will act once again in an over decently, (i.e., suicidal) fashion. For Israel's sake, for America's sake, for the West's sake and for civilization's sake I hope Israel will proceed in a Churchillian manner rather than a Chamberlainesque one. After all, what sane, sensible, informed individual would opt for Neville's approach over Winston's?
Oh, excuse me, but I can't help but answer this rhetorical question of mine, even though it's somewhat bad form to do so, by indicating that the junior Senator from Illinois might very well go with Neville's approach over Winston's. Damn. What a shame. Stupid. Not good at all.

................................
And if Israel *does* comply with Hamas' demands? Won't that also prompt them to kidnap more IDF soldiers, seeing how well it works?

Dumbledore - Very good quote from 1955

""Unless Israel accepts all of our demands, there will be no agreement."
sounds like a threat, besides everyone (especially the Israelis) should know by now that Muslims never honor any aggreement.
Tell the Muslims "No Deal", and then proceed to prepare for war.

The recent exchange set a precedent that is as dangerous as it is stupid. Between being outfoxed by Israel's enemies, and his own stench of personal corruption how has Olmert survived?
/Of course we did have the Bush-Gore and Bush-Kerry election here. Hard to belive that McCain vs O'Bama is the best we can do this time.
