SANTA ANA, Calif., July 21 (UPI) -- A California terrorist who plotted to wage war against the United States was sentenced Monday to more than 12 1/2 years in prison, prosecutors said.
Gregory Patterson, 24, of Gardena was part of a domestic terrorist cell that intended to wage jihad, or holy war, against U.S. military facilities, as well as Israeli and Jewish targets and "infidels," the U.S. Justice Department said.
Another member of the cell, Levar Washington, 30, was sentenced to 22 years in prison last month. The men had pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court last December to conspiring to wage war against the United States.
The man who organized the terror cell -- Kevin James -- also has pleaded guilty and is to be sentenced Feb. 9.
A fourth alleged member -- Hammad Samana -- has been found unfit to stand trial and is receiving psychiatric care at a federal prison facility.
James created Jam'iyyat Ul-Islam Is-Saheeh while in California's New Folsom Prison in 1997. Washington and Patterson conducted about a dozen armed robberies of gas stations to get money for the group's planned attacks in the Los Angeles area, Justice Department officials said. Their targets allegedly included the Los Angeles airport, the Israeli consulate, Army recruiting centers and a military base at Manhattan Beach, prosecutors said.

How interesting that so many criminals are drawn to Islam. Maybe they recognize it as the greatest organized crime ring of all time, and Mohammad as the "boss of all bosses".

We have a war that is being fought at all levels and the Jihadis are using our liberal and open society to wage a propaganda and stealth jihad against us. They are using our own freedoms to combat us and shut us up from criticizing and and speaking the truth about Islam. There is one thing I am sure about is that they want to cause great harm to the USA and its people and want to use all means of propaganda and taquiya to fool ordinary Americans that Islam is peaceful, whilst they increase the numbers of Muslims and open more Mosques and madrases. Once a Mosque is open that plot of land becomes Dar al Islam. So every Mosque in the US is a place to further spread the house of Islam and the chaos and destruction that follows is inevitable. Just the thought and sound of that sends chills up my spine.

just following the example of their revered idol Mohammad, the caravan raider, who likewise robbed to get money and supplies for further attacks..
there is something about Islam that attracts the lowlifes of the world..and prison conversions are big in Islam...

Interesting, isn't it? Three of these men started life as American citizens. They ran their lives off the rails, sure. But if you had asked any one of them what he was, when he was ten, or twelve, or sixteen, I'll bet he'd have said, 'American', or maybe, 'Afro-American'. They were crooks, but AMERICAN crooks.
Then they become Muslims; and all of a sudden, they're into geopolitics, up to their necks in rebellion and sedition, setting out to attack not only their own erstwhile nation, but Israel. (It could just as easily have been the Indian consulate, or the Thai consulate, ANY nation perceived of as getting in the way of the expansion of the Islamosphere).
Let's run that phrase past again:
"conspiring to wage war against the United States."
Now, let's compare it with these words from the Sira, Ibn Ishaq's canonical Life of the 'prophet' Muhammad:
Ibn Ishaq, v. 204 -
“‘Men, do you know what you are pledging yourselves to in swearing allegiance to this man [Muhammad]?’
‘Yes. In swearing allegiance to him we are pledging to wage war against all mankind.’”,
and again, v. 208:
"When Allah gave permission to his Apostle to fight, the second Aqaba contained conditions involving war which were not in the first act of submission. Now we bound themselves to war against all mankind for Allah and His Apostle."

Paul Sperry in "Infiltration" details the Islamist take-over of supply of Imams to the federal prison system under the naive direction of a nun, Sister Susan VanBaalen, who believes there is nothing amiss, and apparently that is true for her entire staff. Muslims are allowed services in private rooms where there is no audio monitoring for subversive or anti-social messages. Sperry titles this chapter "The Prison Powder Keg".
It would be interesting to know how many copies of Sperry's book are in federal offices (indeed, that probably goes for Robert's collection, Bat Ye'Or, Fallaci, Trifkovic, Phares, etc). I suppose all the books with "jihad" in the title have been outlawed by the Bush-Rice ostrich team. Sort of like the Nazi book-burning?

No surprise to me.
To them, all the property around them is Allah's. And since they are fighting a war, they can totally rob, loot and pillage any country's wealth they want to get the money for their activities.
The name is even more ironic.

How come they're not 'unlawful combatants' and get all the treats and trimmings like the good folks in Gitmo?

He's only 24 years old. His father was abusive and treated his mother and sister like a goat. He is a minority from an opressed society and is trying very hard to straighten out his life. He even attends religious services weekly (on Friday) and prays five time a day. His Muslim mother says he is just a good boy trying real hard to do the right thing, so help me Allah.

There probably are no precautions being taken against young prison thugs being converted to violent Islam.
Oops. Sorry for being redundant.
Seems like maybe more of us should, then, take precautions against these predators.
Speaking of predators, John Lott wrote some years back about a new phenomenon coming down the pike; young men from such vicious backgrounds that they'd not hesitate to maim and murder just for the fun of it. He called them 'super-predators."
But I don't recall that he mentioned the Islam influence in his description.
Anyway, preparation... two words:
1. TheSecondAmendment.
