Would that the Israeli intelligence's Western counterparts took jihad as seriously. Of course, that the State Department has essentially censored the use of words like "jihad," may be part of the problem. "Intelligence bodies warn threat from global Jihad 'substantial'," from YNet News, July 23:
Substantial threats to Israel, its citizens, and Jewish people all over the world exist from worldwide Jihad organizations, specifically al-Qaeda, intelligence reports discussed by the government's Security Cabinet on Wednesday stated.What about when Barrack Hussein Obama is in office?Representatives from IDF Intelligence, the Shin Bet, and the Mossad said during the discussion that global Jihad constitutes a threat to all Western countries, democratic regimes, and moderate Arab nations. They also expressed fear that the worldwide organizations would develop cooperation with local extremist groups such as Hamas and Hizbullah.
The representatives also mentioned that the Jihad organizations' operatives make use of civilian infrastructures such as the internet and information technology in order to enlist and mobilize terror cells.
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert directed the intelligence officials to continue their efforts in gathering information and thwarting the threats, through cooperation with other countries seeking to battle terrorism.
On Sunday Director of Military Intelligence Major-General Amos Yadlin told the cabinet that Israel's enemies have no interest in provoking any military conflict while US President George W. Bush is still in office.
The military, he warned, does believe a limited military campaign, which will probably not escalate into a full-fledged war, is possible.Yadelin also surveyed the circumstances that could instigate terror attacks on Israel. "We have intelligence indicating terror activities are possible both on the northern and southern fronts. Hizbullah may choose to use one of their still disputed subjects, such as the Shaaba Farms or Imad Mugniyah's assassination," he told the cabinet.
As for the Iranian threat, Yadlin briefed the cabinet on the latest intelligence assessments, saying that Iran is forging ahead with its nuclear developments, despite the international community implementing some diplomatic and financial duress.
Syria, he said, is slowly by surely "escaping its international isolation, despite assisting Hizbullah. Damascus is taking several steps in order to get closer to the West, but is still very much a part of the axis of terror."

Global Jihad is and has always been a substantial threat to all civilized cultures. Where ever you see it touch other cultures they are left in chaos and decay. It is Arab imperialism. Mohammedanism is and has been continuing for that last 1400 years and it just does not stop until it rewrites history and completely eradicates traces of previous cultures. What is left is sands of Arabia, the harsh and desolate lifeless barren wastelands of the Arab imperialism.

Moderate like Pakistan?
At least the Israelis recognize the threat, although with Ohlmert in charge they won't do anything about it (except maybe make more concessions). OTOH the Brits will continue to implement sharia, the French will continue to opress free speech, the Canadians will continue to hold hate speech hearings against authors that point out the problem and the U.S. will keep trying to win hearts and minds of the ROP.
So other load more ammo, what are ya gonna do?

Global jihad is a sure bet. The way we are allowing it to gain ground by being so PC is beyond me. And of course when it does happen, everyone will wring their hands and say "how could this happen".

Very well said savsiv. That and the slavery one must endure under the yoke of Islamic imperialism. Freedom of choice, freedom of thought and belief, freedom of being a human being, human equality, are all eradicated under the heavy yoke of Islamic supremacist Sharia and its war cult Jihad. Humanity suffered from this evil scourge for 1400 years, with genocidal mayhem and destruction of all things we value in life as truthful and beautiful. Had Islam never been hatched from the sick mind of a caravan raiding, pedophile barbarian, the world might have already found its way towards a lasting world peace. Until 'global jihad' is totally eradicated we must live under this treat from these ignorant and barbaric 'slaves of Allah'.

Meanwhile, we learn that Dennis Ross, who has spent decades engaged in the "peace processing" business between Israel and the local Arabs who are merely the shock troops of the Arab and Muslim Jihad, and who, because he cannot at this point admit that he has spent his entire professional life purusing a will-o'-the-wisp that he believed in precisely because, being of mediocre mind, he never thought to learn about, to factor in, to understand, the nature of Islam, and even today has no real understanding of, perhaps not even a fraudulent familiarity with, its texts, tenets, attitudes, atmospherics. And yet this example of Yesterday's Man, so we are told, has moved from the Clinton to the Obama camp, without the slightest friction, and what's more, is now Barack Obama's main "adviser" on Arab-Israeli reliations.
But he, Dennis Ross, is one of the very worst people to listen to. His professional life, his status, his amour-propre, his everything, are bound up in his continuing to ignore, or at the very least now to minimize, the role of Islam. He is exactly the wrong adviser to have. The Bush Administration's fiasco in Iraq is the direct result of the failure of its highest officials to begin to understand Islam. That failure extends to the inattention to Da'wa and demographic conquest in Western Europe, and to the use, especially by the Saudis, of the Money Weapon -- close to 100 billion dollars -- all over the world, to further the Cause of Islam.
Will Barack Obama really wish to continue to rely on Yesterday's Men, who mimic the Bush Administration in ignoring, or not understanding, Islam?
Dennis Ross is not the man for this job. He is exactly the wrong man.

With a recent history of 9/11, London, Madrid, Mumbai, Beslan, and on and on ad infinitum, western leaders don't even have to read the history books as has been suggested many times by Hugh and Robert. All they have to do is open their eyes and connect the dots. Is even that minimalist effort too much to ask?

gee, I knew about this quite a few years after I started to wonder why they were attacking us all the time, calling us 'evil Satan', and declaring jihad against us all the time.
I am still wondering when Israel will wise up and dismantle that piece of crud of a mosque in Jerusalem and deliver it to the Arabs - drop by drop on them via helicopters. There is nothing 'holy' about it, nor their koran, nor their 'religion'. Any religion that's basic teachings say to kill and/or subjugate others is not a 'religion' but a political system that uses religion as a front - just as islam does.
I think that 'intelligence' in the government, as I used to think that 'military intelligence' is just an oxymoron.

The 'New World Order' mask is still holding the majority of 'people of the Book' (including Arutz7) from seeing the real enemy: Islam. To them Islam is a victim of the great evil conspracy. It took my 'unbelieving' family to convert me out from this weighty tradition. Islam is a kindness to bring some of us to our senses......that we have all failed to 'follow the Maker's instructions', as it is written, by making the commanments of men more important than what we were given[written down] through Moses.

But whom do we have in the US instead of Shin Bet and Mossad? The Criminal Imbecile Agency that can only aid jihad with weapons, but is totally incapable of protecting us from it. The Central Idiotic Agency that cannot obtain any intelligence at all, so it cheats on its duties making wild "slam-dunk" guesses and presenting them as "intelligence". It has been thus "guessing" annual "National Intelligence Estimates" for half a century now. I am not aware of one that wasn't 100%, or near-100% wrong. But the last-year's one beats them all. That horrible document was released exactly 70 years after England's Lord Halifax's servitude visit to Hitler almost to the day.
In November of 1937, the dastardly Chamberlain sent his personal envoy Halifax to Hitler with a secret total capitulation message: Britain will take no action against Germany if it annexes Austria and the Sudetenland, and will even facilitate German takeover of Danzig, if Herr Hitler is courteous enough to help Britain to find a way to maintain an "outward propriety" of the affair. Thus, 1 year before the English sociopaths betrayed Czechoslovakia openly and publicly in Munich, they "pre-betrayed" it secretly in Berchtesgaden, Bavaria. This put the humanity on the downslide into the most horrible war in history.
Our "intelligence community's" evil NIE of last year is potentially even more catastrophic than Halifax's treason visit, for it signaled the mad suicide bomber Ahmadinejad that the United States of America will do nothing to prevent him from getting his hands on the ultimate bomb.
Make no mistake: the last year was 1937, and this is 1938. Unless the downslide is arrested now, cataclysmic events will start happening with horrifying speed.

We are already in a global jihad. What may be coming is a more militant jihad worldwide.
Under islam, everyone is born as a Muslim, and parents and other influences convert the newly born Muslim into believing some other religion. They also think all other religions are really islam but with errors, problems, and deceit.
Also, non-arabs cannot really by true Muslims, so if you're convinced to submit to islam, and you're not an arab, forget it, you'll be a 2nd class muslim.
We've had other cult beliefs, Jimmy Jones and his group in Guyana, or the followers of that nut in San Diego who thought they were going to take a trip on a comet and all killed themselves one night when the comet was visible, but Islam is different, if only because it is such an elaborate hoax that virtually every human belief has been incorporated into it -- Sharia law covers about everything that can be done in life, and Islam itself has no room for doubt, it's perfect according to Muslims, and all the rest of the world who doesn't believe in Islam is deranged, foolish, or stupid.
Arguing with a muslim about the truthfulness of islam, or it's divine content is a complete waste of time. They are so utterly brainwashed from birth about Allah, and Mohammad, and memorizing the Koran, little we can do will make a difference, except to adopt their views, make them feel warm and cozy in our midst, and wait for the day when they turn on us all and slit our throats.
In the meantime, it could be peaceful living with Muslims, and after your dead, it's probably very peaceful. That's Peaceful Islam.
