Serial bombings in Bangalore, regional jihadist groups suspected

Another serial bomb attack in India; the various news organizations differ on the exact number of bombs.

"7 blasts rock Bangalore; two killed, 20 wounded," from the Times of India, July 25:

BANGALORE: Seven synchronized small bombs shook Bangalore during the busy lunch hour on Friday, leaving two killed and injuring 20 others, officials said.
Bangalore Police Commissioner Shankar Bidri said the seven blasts went off within several minutes of each other at different spots across the city. One woman was killed in an explosion at a bus stop in the city's Madiwala neighborhood, he said.
Another person died later of his injuries, Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil said.
Bidri said each of the small bombs contained the amount of explosives equal to "one or two grenades".
The blasts took place at the Madiwala bus depot, Mysore road, Adugudi, Koramangla, Vittal Mallaya road, Langford Town and Richmond Town. The blasts took place within a span of 60 minutes.
"In all these cases they have created the blast using timer devices," Bangalore Commissioner of Police Shankar Bidri told reporters at the site of one of the blasts. [...]
M R Pujar, additional police commissioner for Bangalore said "crude explosives" had been used. "There were seven low-intensity explosions," he said. "Some of them were in crowded areas."
According to IB sources, SIMI [Students Islamic Movement of India] and LeT [Lashkar-e-Toiba] may be behind the Bangalore blasts and they could be retaliatory in nature....

More from Rediff, in "9 blasts rock Bengaluru; 2 killed, 6 injured," by Vicky Nanjappa, July 25:

[...] The first two blasts occurred at Adugodi at 1.30 pm behind the famous Forum Mall, which is a major shopping destination in Bengaluru. The second bomb was placed near a granite factory under some granite slabs.
The blast at Madiwala occured near the check post at 1.50 pm, which were followed by a blast at Nayandahalli in a bus shelter at 2.10 pm. Between 2.10 and 2.30 pm very low intensity blasts were reported near the Mallya hospital at a park and on Richmond and Langford road. [...]
Preliminary investigations show that the bombs were attached to a timer device and were triggered off by a mobile phone. A similar pattern was used in the Hyderbad twin blasts and also at Jaipur and Ajmer. [...]
The IB says that the attack could be three pronged -- one to scare the IT sector in Bengaluru, two to warn the Karnataka police in the wake of the arrests of SIMI cadres in Karnataka which led to the arrests of 10 supremos of SIMI in Indore and lastly as a retaliatory measure since the Bharatiya Janata Party is in power for the first time in south India.

Adopting the methodology of earlier bombings would help to create panic, while low-intensity, low casualty bombs, coupled with the coordination of the attacks would aim to intimidate with the message that the group is capable of more:

Looking closely at the manner in which the attacks were carried out, the IB says that it was more of an attempt to scare the people rather than kill. The bombs were of low intensity and the places in which they were hidden is a clear indication that the intention was more to scare the general public and in the case of the Madiwala and Adugodi explosions, the IT sector in particular. There are large number of IT professionals living in these two areas.

Again Mohammedans following the commands of their prophet cause terror in the hearts of the infidels. Looking at the UMMAH the only reason they wealth is because of the oil. Those UMMAH countries that do not have oil are in dire economic conditions. India thriving from in the IT section at least is now a target for these lowlife scums who want free money and Jizya. The so called golden age of Islam was all about stolen wealth and technology from more advanced civilizations. Slavery and taxation and mass conversion of infidels was how the Islamic empire was run. They do not have the brains to run anything. Even today most UMMAH countries rely on infidels for technology and so called Jizya from western countries. Chaos, death and misery is what they know. This is again the cowardly acts of Muslims all of them because these guys speak for the whole.

One need not be a rocket scientist to figure this one out. The "religion of peace" strikes again while my country's crass political class will go through its ritualistic utterances: "terrorism has no religion", " we will not cow down before terrorism","people are resilient", "maintain communal harmony", and other assorted bull. Then the "leaders" will go back to sleep and indulge in horse trading (buying MPs) to stay in power. If a Muslim is hurt or killed, the Prime Minister will "lose sleep" as he did when one Indian Muslim was charged in Australia for links to terrorism. The same Prime Minister never loses sleep when Hindus are victims.

Unlike Israel, India is a soft state and the green slimes know it. Unless we have our own Mossad and Shin Bet and use Israeli tactics, we will continue to see more of this while the political class and pseudo-seculars will continue their BS. The politicians have learnt NOTHING from the barbaric Muslim rule in India and are again ready to hand the country back to the green slimes. O! cry my beloved country and then rise up to crush the Islamic menace once and for all.

To Indian Tiger:

Um, uhhh, unlike Israel, you said? Where were you when israel announced the release of the child murderer for the bones of their soldiers? Or when they had, and probably still have, Arabs who call for its destruction serving in its Knesset? Or when they evicted Jews from Gaza who'd been there even before Israel was established?

If you're talking about dealing with Jihadist/Islamist enemies, the only ones who can be conceivably be considered as not being "soft" are Serbia, China, the Central Asian republics-Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan etc, Australia, Burma and Singapore, maybe Italy as well. Everyone else, forgettaboutit.

India has been appeasing the Muslims both inside and outside the country for decades, often at Israel's expence. And look at the results.

The Indian Gov't needs to send them all to Pakistan. That's what it was carved out of India for in the first place.

I know, I know, they won't stay there. The koran orders them to consume the world.

But if they all get sent to Pakistan, then maybe the "Allied forces" in Afghanistan iwll get tired of these games and chase them into Pakistan and keep chasing them until they meet up with the Indian Army and crush the muslims in between. It worked in 1945 with the German Army, and will work in 2008 with the U.S./NATO(yeah I know NATO forces don't actually fight) an the Indian Army.

The only place in India really safe is Gujarat - because any terror act there, and the ummah there will have to pay dearly for it.

The day the VHP manages to make the rest of India a replica of Gujarat - from Rajastan to Mizoram, and from Ladakh to Tamil Nadu - jihadi activity in India will come to an end.

my heart goes out to my fellow indians. india has suffered centuries of plunder, rape, pillage by the islamic hordes. i would gladly support the BJP and shivsena. but they seem to be antagonistic to all religions except hinduism. lots of Christian worship places have been attacked and makes me wonder if these are also ummah type fanatics. if they respond to islamic thuggery, it is fine. but are they becoming another islamic type thuggery? then it is just another thuggery.
i hope the BJP and shivsena establish alliances with all other religious minorities but concentrate their efforts on islamic thuggery alone.

Bangalore?

Isn't that the IT capital of India? Where young women can get professional careers and can chose their husbands rather than being married off by their families? Where young professional women can chose not to marry and pursue a career instead?

Could it be that any of this has something to do with it?

There are reports of 6 blasts in Ahmedabad, India.
Times Now is reporting 6 blasts. Local media is reporting 9 blasts.
India TV is reporting, they received an email from
'Indian Mujehadin' just before the blasts, claiming to cause the blasts.

After the 9 blasts in Bangalore yesterday, India it seems is burning from within.

Both Gujarat and Karnataka has BJP governments.
