Despairing women and the craven men who exploit them -- is this what the "great" jihad has come to? "US says women suicide bombers seeking revenge in Iraq," from AFP, July 26:
BAQUBA, Iraq (AFP) — In the war-ravaged streets of Iraq, US-led forces say insurgents are recruiting women driven by despair or revenge to act as suicide bombers in the latest tactic against coalition troops.If only all of al-Qaeda had this same strong "conviction" to go to paradise, after a flurry of explosions, the organization would soon be gone -- only, of course, to be replaced by the next batch of jihadis and would-be "martyrs."Motivated by poverty, desperation or vengeance against the US-led military they blame for the deaths of family members, vulnerable women are easy prey for insurgents promising them a place in a paradise afterlife.
Thursday evening a female suicide bomber killed eight people and wounded 20 after she detonated her explosives-filled vest in Baquba, the capital of Diyala, one of the most dangerous regions in the country.
The bomber targeted a Sahwa or Awakening patrol of Iraqi forces -- former insurgents recruited to fight Al-Qaeda in Iraq and paid by the US military.
The blast demonstrates a growing trend of using women in insurgent attacks attributed to Al-Qaeda in Iraq, which have claimed hundreds of lives across the volatile country.
On July 7, another female suicide bomber killed two people and wounded 14 others after blowing herself up at a bustling street market in Baquba.
"One of the reasons for women to kill like this is a desire for vengeance," said Captain Kevin Ryan, commander of a US base in Baquba. "Often, they have lost parents, brothers or children in the fighting."
Revenge is a powerful motive which followers of Osama bin Laden are keen to exploit, said Iraqi army Colonel Ali Al-Karkhi, who is responsible for security in the Khan Bani Saad district 30 kilometres (19 miles) outside Baquba.
"Some want vengeance for the fact their families have disappeared," he told AFP, adding, "and it is easy for them to target those people they believe are responsible."
"Last year in the Magdadiya district, a woman who had five sons killed by the Iraqi police, blew herself up close to a group of police recruits looking to join up. She killed 30 civilians and 15 police officers," he said.
Women without education, or even those who suffer from learning disabilities, are particularly targeted by extremists.
"Al-Qaeda look for this type of profile, then they train them and indoctrinate them," Ryan said.
"They keep them locked up and tell them over and over again that if they blow themselves up, they will go to paradise," Karkhi said.
[...]The two officers believe the reliance on suicide attacks reveals Al-Qaeda forces in the region have been pushed back.The use of female suicide bombers "shows the cowardice and the weakness of Al-Qaeda in Baquba. They send suicide bombers because here, (Al-Qaeda's) time has passed," Zarra said.

Revenge, women terrorists and soon children will be terrorists strapped with bombs. Well I wonder what is it that we see all this violence coming from Muslims. I see the connection with Islam but for academics, politicians, media and think seem to miss it and have these convoluted and non nonsensical theories that are so ludicrous that it almost makes me think we are in grave danger.

MUSLIM TERRORISTS STRIKE AHMEDABAD

Thirteen blasts have rocked Ahmedabad killing 2 and injuring at least 20 people on Saturday evening.
The first blast took place in Bapunagar at 6:45 pm and all the blasts took place within a span of 15 minutes.
The blasts took place in Maninagar, Sarkhej, Isanpur, Bapunagar and Haksar. Maninagar being Gujarrat CM Narendra Modi's constituency.
The bombs were planted on cycles in crowded marketplaces and tiffin boxes.
Police have rushed to the affected spot and there is no confirmation on the kind of explosion.
The blasts have taken place primarily in eastern part of Ahmedabad, which are upper middle class dominated areas.
Security agencies have been put on high alert and mobile phones blocked.
They are trying to figure if more bombs are there like in the case of Bangalore blasts. These blasts take place exactly a day after eight low intensity serial blasts in Bangalore.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and President Pratibha Patil have condemned the serial blasts.

it is a tragic waste of human potential, that when a woman's husband, brother, uncles, are gone, her children gone, that she has no way to be considered a meaningful part of humanity and she must bomb.

Interesting that the leaders themselves never seem to go on suicide missions and don't seem eager to go to "paradise."
Perhaps they believe that paradise is being in charge on THIS earth rather than the hereafter?
I never heard of mullahs joing the rank and file in the actual grunt work of day-to-day suicide missions.
Oh yes, there are the beheadings of victims bond hand and foot before the camera in a "safe-house" somewhere; but this kind of jihad activity only assures the practioners of longevity in this life after the murder.
It would be interesting to see the mullahs, the clerics, and the leadership go on a few suicide missions and be welcomed in paradise by allah.
But like most "religious leaders" they really don't believe in the message they a peddeling about the hereafter; they simply want the lucre gleaned in the present life as long as the stupid are willing to cow to their "spiritual guidance."

thanks for posting in your blog a reminder of the brutal crimes of the 2 american teenagers Amina and Sarah ,slaughtered by their egyptian dad.
The story did shock me.
This is a typical midle east story.
In the midle east the father rules.
In that case the male realized his daughters were
escaping his control and decided to solve things midle east way . He slaughtered them.
Probably the guy fled to egypt.
It would be useful to translate the article about their death in arabic. Unfortunately I do not know it.
Only someone in egypt can tip off authorities in that country or US embassy.

What happens to women in Paradise has always been unclear to me. There are really no inducements in Islam for women to wish for Paradise. The only thing that seems to be offered to women is escape from the tortures of Hell.
What on earth can these bastards be telling these women? That is, are they making up new lies about Mohammed's whorehouse, to make it more attractive to women?
I'm always bitterly amused by societal mores that allow for and advocate the killing of their women. I always wonder: How do they plan to reproduce, when the women are all gone?

It seems most of the women have already done their bit. If their husbands and sons have gone, the women have already made their contribution and might be past childbearing age.
The one that has remained with me was one of the first female bombers - she was a young woman who had been divorced because she was infertile. Without the ability to bear children, she had no prospects for marriage and so was expendable. Her life would have been miserable but her death was glorious.
How many women seeking to become bombers do so because they have no prospects? Islam condones, and even encourages, this form of suicide.

Okay, what I do understand is that these people are anti-U.S., what I don't understand is what they accomplish by killing civilians?
This isn't a war against the West, this is a War against anyone who won't join them.

These poor poor women, they die while slaughtering the innocent (oh sorry non Muslims are not counted as innocent), and then to cap it off they dont go to paradise, as Mohammad said, "hell is full of Muslim women", and no where does it include Muslim women in any rewards for killing the infidels.. How sad that they are rushing to get to hell...

What do these women have to get so pissed off about? Are they mad that they weren't beaten enough? Are they upset that they can still see out of their burkha? Does it bother them that somebody doesn't want to have their genitals mutilated? These women are slaves who fight for their slavemasters.
