Common sense from a former Hamas member who has converted to Christianity. "Hamas' Christian convert: I've left a society that sanctifies terror," by Avi Issacharoff for Haaretz, July 31 (thanks to all who sent this in):
A moment before beginning his supper, Masab, son of West Bank Hamas leader Sheikh Hassan Yousef, glances at the friend who has accompanied him to the restaurant where we met. They whisper a few words and then say grace, thanking God and Jesus for putting food on their plates.It takes a few seconds to digest this sight: The son of a Hamas MP who is also the most popular figure in that extremist Islamic organization, a young man who assisted his father for years in his political activities, has become a rank-and-file Christian. "I'm now called Joseph," he says at the outset.
Masab knows that he has little hope of returning to visit the Holy Land in this lifetime. "I know that I'm endangering my life and am even liable to lose my father, but I hope that he'll understand this and that God will give him and my family patience and willingness to open their eyes to Jesus and to Christianity. Maybe one day I'll be able to return to Palestine and to Ramallah with Jesus, in the Kingdom of God."
Nor does he attempt to hide his affection for Israel, or his abhorrence of everything representing the surroundings in which he grew up: the nation, the religion, the organization.
"Send regards to Israel, I miss it. I respect Israel and admire it as a country," he says.
"You Jews should be aware: You will never, but never have peace with Hamas. Islam, as the ideology that guides them, will not allow them to achieve a peace agreement with the Jews. They believe that tradition says that the Prophet Mohammed fought against the Jews and that therefore they must continue to fight them to the death."
Is that the justification for the suicide attacks?
"More than that. An entire society sanctifies death and the suicide terrorists. In Palestinian culture a suicide terrorist becomes a hero, a martyr. Sheikhs tell their students about the 'heroism of the shaheeds.'"...

Of course, we all know that all religions are basically alike; that there are good and bad people in every religion; and that the Muslims adopted their anti-Jewish views from the Christian West, coupled with their dispossesion by Jewish Zionists, right? /sarc

Infidel culture kids grow up saying one day I want to be a firefighter, or an actor, an engineer, a pilot. In the UMMAH kids are brought up to say one day I will grow up to be a suicide bomber and kill the Kafirs and satisfy the insatiable appetite for blood of allah.

Now if Olmert and his desparate party members can read this about Joseph aka Masab, their actions to eliminate the threat against Israel would take a decidely differnt action with results in their favour.

Imagine all this the other way around. A young man converts to Islam, even though his father is a prominent Christian. Think such a person would fear for his life?

For any regular reader of JW/DW, this is simply an example of truth from a Muslim, which is far from commonplace to say the least.
The Qur'an, and Allah, despises the Jews apparently, since it is explicit in "his" book and and unchangable (according to Muslims). I believe Andrew Bostom has effectively documented this sentiment with his latest offering.
I encourage all to look it up and purchase.
In the world of Muhammad's, err I mean Allah's hatred, the protocol of Allah's hatred is as follows:
1) Anything other than Christians, Jews or Zoroastrians,
2) Jews.
3) Christians.
Got it?
Yeah, yeah I know, other religions existed before, during and after Islam's "inception", but that is merely a case of Muhammmad, err Allah being unaware of those realities.

And they will fight until they themselves die, since the God of the Jews is the true God, whereas Allah is nothing but Arab vanity turned into an idol.
Everyone who has attempted to destroy the Jews dies and Islam will find this out too. The Jews are God's true people and the spiritual brothers and sisters of Christians. To threaten the Jews is to threaten Christians, since we Christians are the adopted brothers and sisters of the Jews through Jesus Christ.
I suspect something surprising will happen the next time Islam attacks Israel. Thousands of Christians will volunteer themselves in defense of Israel. We are entering a new age of unity between Jews and Christians, which while now fragile, will in time blossom into real trusting unity.

The article is supposed to continue in the Ha'aretz Weekend Magazine section, which is accessible on the same site, and I'm looking forward to seeing more. Not sure when the Weekend section is updated---before or after Shabbat, Israel time....

Put it this way.
If, per miraculum, about 80-90 % of the local Arabs, in and around Israel, were - as this young man appears to have done - to convert to a philojudaic form of Christianity (such as was practised by, inter alia, Orde Wingate, Jacques Ellul, and James Parkes) a great many of Israel's current headaches would quite simply...evaporate.
Israel would find that they *did* have peace partners who were willing to coinhere with them in the Land of Israel.
The Land might become rather like what it was in Byzantine times - a region flourishing and beautiful, thickly populated with Jews and Christians and the occasional Samaritan, busily building churches and synagogues, growing things, making things, planting trees (and, these days, doing science big-time). Only this time around, nobody would be conducting pogroms against anybody else - the Christians having resolutely renounced and cast out the demon of antisemitism from their minds - and all would be equal before the law, in a small Jewish state rather than in a 'christian' empire.
I can dream. I can pray. Hey, I believe that nothing is too hard for the Lord.
If the son of a Hamas sheikh can become a Christian, anything can happen.
The talkbacks to this article, at Ha-Aretz, are...fascinating, and highly instructive.
The 'identifying Muslims' are barely able to contain their fury, spitting and snarling, insisting he must have been bribed or threatened, he simply *couldn't* have converted; a sprinkling of Islamosavvy Kafir, well aware of al-taqiyya, kitman, infiltration and Lying for Islam, are pointing out although they'd love the guy to be genuine, they know he might not be; and then there are the posters under 'christian' or 'jewish' or 'western' names, but who I would bet my bottom dollar are Muslims lying for the cause, attempting to stir up trouble, spouting all sorts of BS of a kind only too familiar to those of us here who have met Mohammedan 'disruptors'.
Most interesting of all is that some of the kafir posters clearly know AALL about Political Islam, jihad, and sharia, and the real history of that part of the world and are sharing their knowledge (and when the Muslims or their apologists try the same old same old, said Kafir come right back at them, wham! Yup, even in the talkback to a ha-aretz article.
Times are a-changing.

Is anyone listening to what this guy is saying? I don't see anyone in the West listening - and from israeli I see the same - no one is listening.
No one is learning about the enemy. could it be that no one is stating who/what the enemy is?! So, we let the media, the muslims, and the rest of the left wing idiots define the enemy.

I say they don't exist. The "moderate" Muslim is a mirage, created by Western dhimmis.
Turkish PM Erdogan has said you cannot be both a Muslim and secular. So where is the moderation?
Even "Muslim in name only" will not fly. Maybe someone is Muslim by birth but unless and until that person renounces Islam and all its teachings, he is still a Muslim and he will still be able to benefit from whatever jihad is undertaken. There are no moderate Muslims. There never were. You are a Muslim or you aren't.

There is indeed no such thing. The "moderate Muslim" is a creation of our pathetic multicultural dhimmi leaders. They cant stand the fact that no matter how hard you look it is just a myth. They will shout "racists" and "Nazis" even louder the more we try and speak up about the truth.
I see no end other than a very violent one to this problem of islamification of our countries and culture.
Push them back to the sand and keep them there, every time they step out of line use an even bigger stick to knock them back there.
I like my culture, the pre stone age ummah is not for me. The UK had a civilised culture thousands of years before the existence of this paedophile prophet and his cult of death.

I view this as a very brave soul emulating all that is Christianity. I feel sad that in order to obtain inner peace he is forced to abandon is family (for his own safety from them) and attempt to make a new life for himself as a Christian. Giving up the comfort of home and money for adequate food and housing in the interest of leaving a life the abhors him.
This young man needs to be put in contact with some of the other high profile apostates (Hirsi Ali, Wafa Sultan etc.) in order to have his story told to more than just readers of this Blog or Israeli blogs (like maybe the Whitehouse).
And if he is practicing taqqyia it will be exposed quick enough.

Evils have been commited in the name of all religions. Self serving men have used scripture to accomplish their own worldly goals all thoughout history. There is nothing however in say the Bible that supports violence in the name of God. No command to forcibly convert, merely to preach the Word. I thought I would find the same when I began to look at Islam. I was shocked at what I found in the Koran and the Hadith's. These extremists truly are obeying their religion. Don't take my word for it.....go look for yourself. Jihad, military obligation, and hatred for the infidel are replete though these texts. History would show us what we get for appeasement if we would but look. We need to take a stand....this madness must be stopped. If this man is legit, I applaud his courage, and pray for his safety.

Three years ago I was at a meeting at my local church. The guest speaker (it was a midweek meeting) was a man who had converted from Islam to Christ.
What he said got me on the road to were I understood who and what the enemy was. He said, "If you are a good Muslim you will be a terrorist." I had never connected the dots before this. He went on to further explain that the teachings in the Koran is what was driving this.
Since then, when I mention this among friend and acquaintances they do one of two things. They may say, not all Muslims are like this. This tells me they don't believe what I said or they get it and hopefully the light goes off in their head.
Keep spreading the word.
Related to his statement You will never, but never have peace with Hamas. Islam, as the ideology that guides them,. If the Jews packed up and left that part of the world to somewhere else. They would follow them to the ends of the earth to destroy them. It is not the land it is genocide that is at the bottom.
