This one contains that hallmark of Islamist strikes: suicide. "21 injured including six police in Algeria car bomb attack," from AFP, August 3:
ALGIERS — Twenty one people, six of them policemen, were injured in a suicide car bomb attack early Sunday in the town of Tizi Ouzou in Algeria's Kabylie region, the Algeria Press Service (APS) reported. The blast also damaged surrounding buildings, APS said, quoting a statement from the interior ministry.
Witnesses said the dawn attack targeted a police station in the old town, which is also close to an army barracks.
The remains of the suicide bomber were littered nearby.
Tizi Ouzou is 150 kilometres (90 miles) east of the capital Algiers. Earlier this month, a suicide bomber on a motorbike blew himself up and injured 13 Algerian soldiers in an attack in Lakhdaria, also east of Algiers.

It has just occurred to me to wonder what the surviving victims of these blasts, or the relatives of the victims, think about the religion that prompted the bombings. The victims are most often Moslems, and so one might imagine that there would be some questioning of a religion that kills or maims so many of its followers. I know that if I were a Moslem, and any of my family or friends had been victims of such a bombing, I would be having serious doubts about the truth and integrity of Islam. And I might begin wondering about other religions, and why they have virtually no suicide bombers.
Have there been any solid, in-depth studies of families who have lost loved ones to these killers, and their thoughts and feelings about the bombing and the culture and religion that instigated it?

ebonystone,
Those are some good points you bring up. But remember it is a religion of total control. They have been so programed that rational independent thought and reasoning is beyond them. We now they are programed to think Islam is superior to all other religions and that all others are the enemy of Islam. We know that you cannot question the tenets of Islam and that Islam is the purest form and that last of the messages from their god. They only way that many would leave Islam would be countries that Islam is not dominant and that the host countries do not allow the building of Mosques. If there is a way to disconnect them from the constant programing might be the way. Every facet of their life from praying five times a day to Sharia etc it would take time to weaken Islam.

In addition to the 3 bombings listed here and in the two following threads, the ROP website adds two more over the week-end: one in Afghanistan, killing 13 at a wedding, and one in Pakistan, killing 7 in a police van. Don't know if they were suicide-bombings or not.

ebonystone l dont think muslim can have rational thought when it concerns their cult. my sister worked alongside a pak when she was a social worker. the pak told her he did not want to go back to the pak as life there was so bad. she asked him questions about islam, ie wife beating, etc. and he denied all negatives about islam, yet it is islam that created the killings and unstable country. These muslims cant stand living in their own country, yet when they move here they cannot keep enough of their own old country. its like the liberal who keeps repeating the same errors, like keep taxing for more gov't service, and when things get so bad ie, Mich. just keep doing the same thing over and over again. Muslims it seems cannot connect the dots, its islam stupid!!

ebonystone,
Do they blame Islam for their loss or do they blame infidels for forcing this action on those brave jihadists?
It's easier to blame the infidel than to give up a lifetime of conditioning. The idea that your loved one will go to heaven as a result of dying for Allah can be a great comfort. He also gets the support of the Muslim community in his grief.
Even the Muslim in name only is bound to blame the outsider, even if the outsider had no role in the death. Blaming his fellow Muslims is dangerous. It could get him killed.

Thank God they are keeping an eye on those Christians.

I was recently reading about Islamic beliefs and one thing I ran across that I didn't know before was that some factions believe that when bystanders are killed in a jihad act of war that it is God's will anyway, and that if those killed were Moslem they will go to paradise and be rewarded, and those killed who were not Moslem were bound for hell anyway. What a way to rationalize murdering your own people and whoever else might get in your way!

The only fatalities were the suicide bombers themselves - now THIS is good news - and I would like to wish a speedy recovery to the injured!
