"Taliban militants killed while bombing school in Pakistan," from RTTNews, August 6 (thanks to Kemaste):
(RTTNews) - Two suspected pro-Taliban militants were killed while attempting to detonate explosives in an effort to blow up a school in Pakistan's northwestern valley of Swat, according to media reports quoting the police.The police defused two more bombs planted in other parts of the school in the Kabal area, after the explosion.
As part of intensifying a campaign by militant groups to enforce strict Islamic law in their strongholds in Pakistan, scores of schools have been destroyed in the northwestern valley of Swat in recent months.
Militants set on fire the girls' high schools in Matta, Mingora, and Kanju after Monday night....

Combine the wet and the dry of the Russian "Mokriye dela" ("wet matters") and the dry Israeli description of these hoist-by-their-own-petard moments as "work accidents" and you get the perfect portmanteau description:
"A wet work accident."
At such news, there shouldn't be a wet eye in the house -- the entire house of the Infidels, otherwise known as Dar al-Harb.

I wonder if these schools were built by American tax payers. With the billions of aid given to Pakistan these schools must have been part of the program. Do you think?

It is obvious what Islam is all about - the re-primitivization of the planet. They want to impose Sharia upon us all and destroy civilization altogether. 6,000 years of learning is destined to go down the pan. And to think that when I was a boy in the 1970s, I imagined that the 22nd, 23rd and beyond centuries would bring about space flight for the masses, the conquest of every known disease. Little did I know then that the 22nd century onwards might mean a return to the Stone Age thanks to these savages.

Does the world look at this and approve? How does any community in the West look on Sharia and nod with approval? Britain? Prince Charles?

I agree with tjwork. One of the favorite sayings the Islamofacists have is "it is Allah's will". Allah seems to have the will to stop these guys these days. They should take the hint.

Well, in this case, Allah's work was not executed successfully. So, no virgins in heaven. These two losers really got cheated (ha, ha, ha.....). However, they were carrying on the best traditions of Islam. Through its entire history, Islam has never had any respect for education, innovation, and scholarship. When the Islamic barbarians arrived in India, their first act was to burn down two ancient universities: at Taxila (now in Pukistan), and Nalanda. They killed the monks at these places and burnt down the libraries completely. The tradition continues... What a curse on humanity.

The whole business of Islam and women reminds me of a series of science-fiction novels by Larry Niven. These took place a few centuries into the future, and mankind had moved into space and colonized a number of planets around other stars. They had come into conflict with another space-going race, the Kzin. The Kzin looked superficially like large felines, around the size of jaguars. They were quite belligerent and fought a number of wars with mankind, which they generally lost because they were long on bravery and ferocity, but short on planning and strategy. Their civilization was much older than man's, having scores of thousands of years of written history, but had developed more slowly, so that they were no more technologically advanced than mankind. A curiosity of the Kzin was that only the males were intelligent and had speech. The females were dumb, in both senses of the word. Anyway, in one story, a human space explorer comes upon an unknown planet. He investigates, and finds that the planet is a museum/zoo established a hundred millenia or so ago by another (and long-vanished) space-faring race. Creatures from dozens of different worlds are held in "stasis" fields, preserved for eons. The age of the place is indicated by the fact that Neanderthals are among the creatures from Earth. The man accidentally activates the display from the Kzin world, and two Kzin, both female, are released from stasis and revivified. Lo and behold, both are intelligent and can talk! At one time the females were just as intelligent as the males. But the male Kzin had engaged, over tens of thousands of years, in selective breeding to eliminate intelligent and talkative females.
The Kzin seem to be an apt metaphor for the Moslems

I understand Tabari ahadith are not considered as reliable as those of Bukhari and Muslim, but this one fits the ethos so well, the 'atmospherics' of the cult as it were, that I'd like to post it once again:

Obviously these two guys didn't attend school long enough themselves.
They must have been the two guys goofing off down the back of the Chemistry 101: Explosives (practical) class, throwing spitballs, or snoozing and dreaming of the hooris.
One might add that with their demise the average intelligence of the human race went up by a perceptible degree.
Two more candidates for the Darwin Awards.
Seriously, and sadly: two more human souls destroyed by Islam.
Just think. If Islam hadn't gobbled up and gutted Afghanistan, these two might have been Hindu mathematicians, sculptors, musicians, artists, poets, gardeners, farmers, merchants, or HONOURABLE warriors. They might have been Buddhist monks painting mesmerising mandalas. They might even have been Jews, or Nestorian Christians, and there too they would have had the possibility of creating beauty, affirming life.
Instead, under Islam, they get themselves killed, trying to blow up a school, in order to keep their fellow human beings as pig-ignorant as possible.
