"Western countries should not support (Israel) so much. The life of this regime has come to an end"

But the nuclear program is absolutely, positively, strictly "peaceful," mind you. "Ahmadinejad: West should not support Israel," from Reuters, August 13:

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad launched a fresh verbal attack on Israel on Wednesday on the eve of a visit to Israel's close ally Turkey, saying Western countries should not support the Jewish state.
The comments highlight the difficult path which Turkey, a member of NATO, must follow during the two-day visit which reflects its desire to remain on good terms with its neighbor and secure future energy needs.
"Western countries should not support them (Israel) so much. The life of this regime has come to an end," Ahmadinejad said in comments translated into Turkish in a live interview broadcast by Turkey's NTV and CNN Turk channels.
"Our position is clear on this issue. A referendum should take place in Palestine. If they withdraw from invaded lands it would be a good step," he said.
Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan have come under criticism at home and abroad for inviting Ahmadinejad.
Ankara has said his visit was necessary given a standoff between Iran and the West over Tehran's disputed nuclear enrichment program, but analysts said the visit was more about ensuring centuries-old ties during a period of global tensions.

One might also suggest a certain shared affinity for Islamic government, in the aftermath of a close call for Erdogan's party.

Ahmadinejad said the talks on Iran's nuclear program were on a "good path."

A "good path" where the Iranian regime is concerned. Not anyone else.

Note to Ahmadinejad:

Actually, we like Israel. They are good friends and allies. They've put up with a lot of crap off of us and still consider us friends. We should be as good of friends as they have been. We have more in common with them than we have with you. We will continue to support them. Have you noticed the price of oil is down?

Short version:

Bite me.

Zena, the disgusting Führer of all †urks.. lideri as he likes to be called there.. came to Germany to remind his countrymen who live there that "integration is a crime".

H even too out billboard advertising space announcing his arrival in †urkish language ONLY.

The poster featured him walking on a German flag which was behind him and partially on the ground.

The red porting of the flag had been fitted with a half-moon and a star as the †urkish flag has.

This was a clearly calculated insult to Germany as well as a signaling of hegemonial intentions.

Needless to say the German government did absolutely nothing in reaction to this.

There is a paragraph in the German Constitution which mandates 2 years in jail for anyone denigrating, disrespecting or altering the flag.

Wars have been declared over less than this.

†urkey is engaging in brinksmanship and needs to be removed from NATO.

Only the knuckle headed West insist that Turkey is a Western country.

Maybe I'm reading that wrong?

I don't think so...

Little Adolf will continue being little Adolf until America or Israel calls his bluff. Hope it's sooner rather than later. Tiring how the civilized world every generation has to deal with deluded, control-freak, misanthropes from the barbarian portion of mankind who have illusions of greatness, in this case by a nutjob who functions in a land without any homosexuals.

Why, oh why, oh why, could not Mr Putin have arranged for this creep to have a nice polonium dinner when he visited Russia some time ago?

Honestly, if Russia, or Israel, or the USA, really meant business, and wanted to get rid of a loose cannon, surely they could have taken him out looong ago?

Why isn't he a Dead Man Walking?

Hint to Mr Rudd.

Invite him Down Under for Inter-Faith Dialogue.

Invite him to Kakadu National Park and World Heritage Site for some R & R (but don't show him all those paintings - all those representations of naked men and women, with prominent Attributes of masculinity and femininity, frisking across cave walls, along with an exuberant zoo of other living beings - his head would explode).

A short time later, regretfully inform the mullahs that Mr Ahmadinejad and his bodyguards, whilst enjoying a moonlight dip in a lily lagoon, had an unfortunate encounter with some very large and hungry saltwater crocodiles and are Missing, Presumed Dead, please accept our sincere regrets but it must have been the Will of Allah.... (Are crocodiles haraam or halal? Does anyone know?)

Everyone in the world except the Muslims will heave a big sigh of relief.

DDA,

You're too funny! I don't recall ever reading about crocs in Arabian desert, so I'd guess they would be haram.

I know that crocs are lean, mean, eatin' machines, but do you think at least a croc would get a little queasy after eating a zombie?

Ahmadinejad: West should not support Israel

The ape is alive because he serves a politcal purpose for the west.

If he did not exist, the west would have created him or something like him.

As creepy as the ape is; he is useful nonetheless and should his political utility come to an end, so will he.

How soon will the Israeli jets fly over iran???

anyone want to wager before the end of the year and with nukes on board???

Erdogan's invitation to Ahmadinejad is in line with his Islamist-leaning party's anti-US and anti_Israel stand. Turkey is tossing out the secularism that took it from the 7th century to the 21st, and wants to revert to its 7th century heritage (Islamism).

Carolyn Glick has an excellent analysis of the Turkey-Iran axis:

http://www.carolineglick.com/e/2008/08/turkeys_abandonment_of_the_wes/index.asp

They proved their unreliability as an ally when they would not permit the 4th Infantry Division to attack Hussein's Iraq from the north. Again the Bush-Rice team has turned to mush in handling Turkey. It is time to move away from this "ally", close our bases there, and remove Turkey from NATO. And not come back until they get another Ataturk to kick some a.. .

It would indeed be a good step, Mr Ahmadinejad, if the Muslims withdrew from the lands they've invaded -- it would be wonderful...

Past generations of Westerners had the moral courage to wipe the floor with these deluded barbarians. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the present generation of Westerners.

Turkey is a "western" nation? Coulda fooled me.

Not only should their membership in NATO be revoked, any consideration of allowing them into the EU should be firmly denied.

What is going on in Georgia must remind us how dangerous this world really is. We don't know yet, but we may be looking at the very first of many moves that will starkly change the world and the relationships between countries in Europe and eastern Europe. Russia is just being the same old Russia and "Islam is still the same "Islam"

I am inclined to think that a "tiger is a tiger" and a "rattlesnake is a rattlesnake". "Ahmadinejab et al" is "Ahmadinejab et al". Isreal needs to be very worried (and so do we as long as we keep our hands tied behind our back).

"Honestly, if Russia, or Israel, or the USA, really meant business, and wanted to get rid of a loose cannon, surely they could have taken him out looong ago?"

Why act as though the Russians have anything to gain from the destabilization of the Islamic Republic? I long thought the Iranians and Russians would come to blows over the Black Sea oil and caviar reserves, but they've gotten almost chummy over the last few years.

Israel lacks the airspace, we lack the muscle and the Russians lack the motive. Who's left to give Tehran the bad day so many here want to see?

The Iranian people. As long as they support the mullahs, the Iranian people are not on our side.

Generally, the moral courage didn't show itself until we had our backs to the wall. Churchill was all alone through most of the 1930s. Everyone else wanted to negotiate. It will be the same here. Those who have been warning us about Iran and about Islamic imperialist aims have been called warmongers or bigots or shills for Israel. We will continue to believe that "talking" to Muslims will produce results, until they attack us. Only then will we find the courage to stand up.

Unfortunately, you are probably correct. In this modern age of advanced WMD weaponry, this gives the enemy an enormous advantage.
