Michelle Malkin notes that unhinged Leftists are blaming her "hate" for the murder of the Arkansas Democratic Party chairman, and that this isn't the first time they have done this sort of thing.
What does this have to do with jihad? Everything. Just as Leftists consistently try to portray conservatives as purveying "hate," so also do jihadists and their allies insist that any honest discussion of the jihad ideology and Islamic supremacism is "hateful." The advocates of the "Fairness Doctrine," which would restore the hegemony of the politically correct Left over the airwaves, are numerous. And so also are the Islamic advocates of restrictions on free speech in order to combat the chimera of "Islamophobia."
Michelle Malkin didn't kill the Arkansas Democratic Party Chairman any more than I am responsible for any actual attacks on innocent Muslims in the U.S. -- that is, aside from the ones CAIR trumps up. But if Americans aren't careful -- and most are fairly heedless of this at this point -- the Left and the jihadists will use these false charges to destroy the First Amendment and to make it impossible to speak honestly or fully about the jihad threat precisely at the time when it threatens us the most.

Oh Good Grief!
I read the first three words, "Michelle Malkin killed," and nearly fainted! In the milliseconds it takes for thoughts to appear in the brain, I thought, "They (Mohammedans) got her."
Oh Thank God it's not that!

Something's gone very wrong.
How derailed the American psyche is, became clear to me when Michelle was sacked after the pathetic FOX blowhard Geraldo came out as a hate-spewing scumbag who declared he would publicly 'spit on her' (sic) in the immigration debate a year ago.
Instead of coming out in solidarity in support of Malkin, Fox allowed this cretin Geraldo to fall up the stairs while Michelle was let go.
Hard to get my mind around that, even now.

We're all present-day Cassandra's here.
We know the truth yet are not believed. That's the definition of a Cassandra. Enoch Powell also a Cassandra - and maligned and hated because of his prescience. Ironically, the Truth-Teller figure is usually maligned and hated, while the lie of the Emperor's new clothes is preferred.
One of my favorite quotations:
"The Truth-Teller must have one foot in the stirrup." -- Armenian proverb.
Armenian! "Um, the Turks tried to genocide us." Reaction of World: "Oh no they didn't. You're just imagining things, or it's you who hates the Turks!" Such a response is, quite often, the reward of the Truth-Teller - Disbelief. The irony of that cannot be overstated.

I looked at some of the comments to Malkin, about how she and Limbaugh and Hannity should all be locked up in some Gitmo-type prison, and how the government should shut down "hate-filled" talk radio, and infiltrate "right-wing" groups (like the McCain campaign!). It's truly frightening that so many Americans actually think like this. Where have they been living for the last 30 or 40 years?
Leftists love to liken right-wingers to Hitler; but for some reason they get all indignant when one notes how close the left is to Uncle Joe, Chairman Mao, and Pol Pot. And of course they're wrong about the right being close to Hitler; Hitler was a socialist too, altho a National one rather than an International one.
And if they really want to shut down the purveyors of hate, then they should forget about talk radio, and go after the real hate-mongers: the hundreds of imams in their mosques and the hundreds of Islamic jihadist websites.
When the murderers flew those planes into the Twin Towers, they weren't shouting "Dittos to you, Rush", they were shouting "Allah akbar".

sheik yer'mami:
That incident with Geraldo grates on me as well. I missed seeing Michelle as a stand in for Bill Oreilly.
I lost any respect I ever had for "Mr.Sensationalist at any cost Geraldo" after his mock trial of the father & Mother of the little girl murdered in Colorado with hearsay evidence presented by gossip columnists and then making the audience the jury--It was reprehensible and disgusting.

When leftists criticize conservatives, that's anti-racism and human rights, but when conservatives attack leftists, that's hate.

Mis-spent youth in Haight-Ashbury, or Haze-Ashbery, or somewhere. At least I think so. Or sort of think so, or think I think I thought so. Not sure. Just can't remember much about it. Michelle Malkin got this lovely e-mail: "Once again the hate you and folks like Hannity spew has caused another right wing nut to resort to violence."
This is insane. I have been unable to find a reference to exactly what Malkin's comments were regarding Bill Gwatney. She can be quite blunt in her criticism, but I am certain she was not calling for the poor man's death.
The crazy thing is, that rhetoric on the left tends to be even more heated, such as endless references to George Bush as a "war criminal".
I agree, equating criticizing a public figure with wishing them harm is insane, and can only serve to quash freedom of speech.

We have to choose our words carefully to avoid "giving jihadists ammunition" when our very existence is ammunition for the jihad. Anything we say is ammunition and it doesn't have to be abusive, racist or genocidal. The very idea of barring future Muslim immigration is ammunition to some. The mere suggestion that Islamic tenets render Islam incompatible with democracy is ammunition, even though Muslims themselves have said as much. Should we believe that CAIR wouldn't use such statements? Does that mean they can't be voiced? Sounds like the leftists may have already won. Their threats have done what bullets could not. Truth is ammunition to the left and to jihadists. Sometime, truth hurts.
"If Americans aren't careful"? We're supposed to fight for our rights but we can't hurt anyone's feelings? The other side doesn't play by those rules.

Unless this folly is fought rigorously, the USA will end up like Canada. If you say that homosexual behaviour is a sin (Christianity 101), you are told that you promote hate and are directly responsible for gay bashing. See http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/fullcomment/archive/2008/08/06/ezra-levant-how-i-beat-the-fatwa-and-lost-my-freedom.aspx
This is a very effective strategy since it changes the societies definition of respectable speech, while at the same time creates laws in which offended minorities can leverage power by kicking folks they don't like from the Public Square. It is a form of quiet fascism. See http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2008/jun/08060607.html
Canada is become a fascist state. I say that recognizing that often the "fascist" label is thrown around too much. What I mean is that when the government says what is acceptable speech, they are really saying what is acceptable thought, since speech is the public expression of individual and communal thought. Progressives are often closet fascists in this regard since they hold that persons may express "offensive views" individually, but they can not express them publicity or even within a public gathering of their own community (ie the Church).
History shows us that when speech is curtailed, those who wish the make the government into a god ie controls what is holy (acceptable and good) speech, that they will not be satisfied with just controlling the public square. In time, they will go for the individual thought as well. Consider the re-programming classes which are attempting to indoctrinate children into accepting that homosexual activities are good or the indoctrination stories from the UK where children can be a Muslim for a day. In many cases, parents are not allowed to pull their children from the classes and governments are moving to mandate that even Christian schools teach what is considered evil.
It's time for those who believe that a persons conscience is his/her own and that all person's have the right to share their views in public, regardless of what people think is good and right. I think Islam is a lie and one which Islam often must enforce on those enslaved to it by threats of death. While there are examples of fine Muslims, generally Islam creates a diminishment of humanity whereever it is spread; especially for woman and mostly for those who don't want to follow the teachings of a man who had 50 wives, one of which was 9 years old. If I said that in Canada publically I'd be brought up on charges, even though its true.
The truth will set you free!

We who love Canada see the potential for that 'facism' to invade southward all too soon.
My returns to Canada to recapture the joys of my youth are tempored with the recognition of the 'conditions' currently in sway.
At the risk of a flurry of angry posts, I am always reminded of the many trusted voices I have heard over the years stating the facts of the mysterious deaths of many people in and out of Arkansas who had close relationships with the Clintons. Some unsolicited things were told to me personally by prison inmates about drug trafficking and murder that would curl your hair, so therefore, any strange death such as this very bizarre occurance does bring back these thoughts.
Strange deaths related to the Clintons? Not so bizarre.
The Left blaming Michelle Malkin--Now thats bizarre!
Hugh--I am happy to report that my foggy drug days on the left coast in the 60's have, thank God, cleared and remain a somewhat distant memory with a head shake at the obviously foolish misspentedness.

It is based on one email that for all we know may be a hoax or a plant. Yet some little pinheads here, who aren't worth naming do their low intellectual capacity, have attributed this email as representing all leftists, as if they all met somewhere to decide to blame Malkin, as well as freighting me down with political positions and beliefs that I have never professed.
Besides, a man was murdered and the best this blog can do is use is death to slam people who had nothing to do with it and get sympathy for a little witch who doesn't rate any. It is an ugly pointless post and I am glad I annoyed certain pinheads.

interestinconundrum,
since i am neither a leftist or a Kos-er, why should I care what they said, though it is cheap and ugly too? It is a group blog and plenty of right wing blogs come up with equally cruel and pointless stuff like that too. It does not mitigate this cheap and ugly posts or some of the replies. But Charles Johnson is a spiteful, cruel little man with delusions of granduer. He should check himself before attacking other blogs.
