Nasrallah: Hizballah will never disarm

Peace In Our Time. "Nasrallah: Hizbullah will never disarm," from Al-Bawaba, September 5 (thanks to Sr. Soph):

Hizbullah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has stressed that his group will not disarm even if the Shebaa Farms were liberated and acknowledged that a Hizbullah fighter was behind the downing of a Lebanese army helicopter last week.

So much for "land for peace."

"Shebaa Farms are not a pretext to keep our arms. If the Farms were liberated now, the weapons will stay," Nasrallah said in a televised speech late last Thursday. "I am telling you that from now because we are speaking of resistance as a defense need for Lebanon," he added.

The Shiite leader also stressed that Hizbullah will not surrender its weapons "as long as Israeli threats persist." He reiterated that his group will destroy the Jewish state if it launches an attack on Lebanon.

"The five (Israeli) brigades will be destroyed in the south, Western Bekaa and everywhere," he said....

No one who can 'give' peace to Israel. Germany was at peace with Poland, France, Norway, Belgium, England, Holland etc. by the end of 1945. If we can just figure out 'what was it about Germany in the end of 1945' that made the formerly vicious Nazis suddenly so peaceful? What convinced them? Perhaps it will give Israel some fresh ideas.

From the article:
"Nasrallah has stressed that his group will not disarm even if the Shebaa Farms were liberated".

When, oh, when will Western leaders - especially those so enamoured of the 'peace process' in the middle east (i.e. the slow, inch by inch, betrayal of Israel) - wake up and realize that EVERYWHERE that Muslims make demands, giving in to those demands, whatever they happen to be, will NOT end the whining, threats, bullying, lawsuits, riots, terror raids and, in some cases, open warfare?

When will people realize that 'land for peace [with Muslims]' is just as futile and indeed suicidal an idea for the non-Muslim governments of the Philippines, India, and Thailand, as it is for the government of Israel? Give the Muslims (be they 'Lebanon/Hezbollah' or the Kashmiri Muslims or the Muslims in S Thailand or the Moros in the Philippines) control of this patch of land that they demand today... and tomorrow they will be using that patch as a platform from which to attack, and demand control of, the lands next to it, all the while whining, threatening, and making outrageous excuses.

The same principle applies to 'aid', i.e. jizya. It's danegeld. The more someone pays them the more they will demand; and the verbal and physical aggression will NOT stop, as any dhimmi community can tell you (just ask the Copts of Egypt - whether you resist Muslim aggression, or submit to it, makes no difference, Muslims will still treat you as Prey).

You can only have peace when you have a victor.
Why would they want peace when they can attack and as soon as israel retaliates the u.n. and us come in and stop israel let us leave israel alone to finish the battle then you will have peace you can not have peace from weakness especially from the muslim hordes you must beat the hell out of them.

We've heard this before. From Gamal Nasser in 1967. Didn't destroy Israel then either.

I believe in "land for peace" policy when dealing with Muslims. I'm absolutely sure, and posted on LGF some years ago, that the way Israel will have peace, is for it to sieze lands in retaliation for every terror attack. As this seizure will ensure more terrorism, Israel is thus assured of getting more and more land, which it declares as Eretz Israel for good. The Muslims will learn soon enough. If they dont, they lose even more.

Now even if Muslims continue terrorism, they will be in much worse shape then before. Israel will gain strategic depth, Muslims will lose, and in Islam, Jihadis who lose lands to Jews get no traction whatever. Its a win-win situation, rather then the converse Israel has now.

Offense, particularly against Muslims, is the best form of defence. Using only this dictum as a guide, our actions in Iraq and Afghanistan, are just fine. Besides it really annoys Muslims, which isnt a bad thing altogether.

I don't think we're contradicting each other.

What I'm describing or advising is, so to speak, step #1: for kafir governments to cede not one more inch of psychological or physical ground, to recognise that Muslim appetite will not be satisfied by anything less than the entire planet, to recognise we're dealing with an enemy that does not begin to understand the meaning of the word 'compromise' or 'restraint'.

You're describing step #2: kafir going on the offensive. I agree that that has to happen, too. But I think at present we're still working on getting our governments and societies to wake up to the need for step #1. Unless we know clearly what we're doing, and choose our targets carefully, step #2 could backfire.

In one of the threads attached to an article about Pakistan, I have suggested that whenever Muslims attack non-Muslims within the Muslim lands (church burnings, killings of non-Muslim religious leaders, abductions and forced 'conversions' of non-Muslim girls and women) kafir countries could respond by shutting down mosques within kafir territory and deporting imams. That's essentially the same kind of move as you're describing. It means that whenever the Muslims do what Islam commands - abuse the dhimmis - they lose more of their beachheads in *our* territory.

I haven't yet read Patrick Sookhdeo's "Power, Faith and Territory" but will try to get hold of it by the end of this month. I get the impression it goes into the way in which Islam functions as, to use Hugh's terminology, "a geopolitical cult". Sookhdeo knows what Islam is about, because he's an apostate and as far as I can see, he's completely genuine - his counsel to the British, though it seems to have fallen on deaf ears, re. defence against both military and 'stealth' jihad, chimes exactly with what we hear from Messrs Spencer and Fitzgerald.

Of course they'll never disarm; they're Islamic terrorists. But they must be disarmed by good and competent folks fighting in the name of a decent nation. Hmmm, let's see. How many decent nations are there in the Middle East? I can think of only one and it starts with an "I." Can't think of any other. Nope, not one other. Pretty pathetic region the Middle East. Oh yeah, big time.

DP111,
I trust that the seizure of land in the wake of an attack will be followed by the immediate and permanent expulsion of all residents?
Otherwise, Israel is just creating more West Banks and more Gazas. It might also require restriction on Israeli Arabs to prevent them from populating those areas and effectively erasing the border.

Big talk, little man...It's interesting how all Israel's hostile neighbors think they can individually, all by themselves destroy Israel.
If it comes to pass that Israel fights these people again, they will fight to win. Nasrallah will be singing a different tune as he runs for cover...

How brave they are. "We will never disarm"? Even if we don't know what we are doing with them. Some how, some way, some where, Allah will show us how to use them to kill. Even if it is just our own. It doesn't matter, Allah knows best!

Why should Nasrallah disarm? he is running the country of Lebanon and not the puppet president. Even the Christians in Lebanon are now majority Christain Shiites and yes Christian Shiites do exist only in Lebanon.
