Of course the term "worshippers of the cross" goes back to the earliest texts of Islam, and was synonymous with the hated Byzantines. At the Battle of Yarmuk (636), one Muslim complained to Caliph Omar by saying, "Know O Omar that that dog of the Romans [Emperor Heraclius] has frustrated our efforts by the ubiquitous presence of the cross." Two years ago, al-Qaeda threatened to slit the throats of worshippers of the cross. More on this story.
"Al-Qaeda threatens new punishment to Denmark," from the Malaysia Sun, September 6:
A new al-Qaeda video has warned the group will punish Denmark over newspaper caricatures of Islam's founder.The video also identifies the Saudi national who was behind a suicide bombing at the Danish Embassy in Pakistan.
The alleged bomber, Kamal Saleem Atiyyah al-Fudli al-Hathli, makes an appearance in the video wearing an explosives vest.
He is shown warning of more attacks “to the worshippers of the cross in Denmark” and says: 'We will wipe you from the face of the Earth.'
The June 2 blast killed six people, including a Danish citizen.
Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility, saying it was carried out to fulfill Osama bin Laden's promise to exact revenge for the of a dozen cartoons showing the Prophet Muhammad.
Islam forbids any depiction of Muhammad, even favorable, for fear it could lead to idolatry.
The video also shows al-Qaeda's top commander in Afghanistan, Mustafa Abu al-Yazeed, who also warns of more attacks.
It had been thought al-Yazeed had been killed in August in Paksitan’s tribal area.

Uh, you mujahadeen guys--an attack on one NATO nation is an attack on all; inasmuch as your Sheikh Osama has already initiated hostilities against America, why bother to be concerned with the Danes? If you jihadist blowhards are gonna do something to us, just do it--or STFU.

"Worshippers of the cross"? Who are they? I don't think I've ever met any. Maybe some obscure Middle Eastern sect?
All right, I'm really pretty sure he means Christians. But I don't now any who worship the Cross, nor any who worship the fish, which was a widely-used symbol for Christian in the first Christian centuries, nor any who worship the dove, the symbol of the Holy Spirit.

You're absolutely right, Islam should be banned in the West.
In fact, Islam should be confined to private home worship as Christianity is in Saudi Arabia. We should ban Islam from any public arena, remove any mosques, and make halal and sharia practices illegal.
Muslims will still be able to practice Islam - but they will only be able to do so at home. That is, they will not be allowed to impose their religion on the rest of the non-Muslim community.

Denmark deserves all the praise from infidels for standing up to jihadist muslims.It didn't back down from publishing pedophile muhammed cartoons.This type of courage is required from all the infidels if they have to survive from the evil of Islam.If a small country like Denmark can stand up to the muhammedans, then why not powerful countries like USA, Britain, India, Russia, China.Are they paper tigers or what?
God bless Denmark for standing against evil of Islam.I love Danes and I pray that Denmark leads this global fight for freedom from the evil of Islam and teach the above mentioned cowards (Powers)how to fight this menace of Islam.

At any rate, has anyone here met a Dane? Or any other Scandinavian? The idea that they have anything to do with Christianity is bizarre. If our Al Qaida friends wanted to do anything to threaten Denmark, they ought to refer to worshippers of the welfare state, agnosticism, and girls called Trine.
