Now, we've all heard the "Allah told me to do it" line before -- whether to bring world-peace (while beating others to death) or driving recklessly -- but this is certainly new. Either way, this is not Islamic, as Allah would hardly ever tell anyone to walk dogs in the nude. But, just for the record...
"Naked man walking dog Tasered by Tallahassee police," by Nic Corbett, for Tallahassee.com, September 13 (thanks to Staks):
A 40-year-old man walking his dog in the nude Friday night in northwest Tallahassee was Tasered by police when he became belligerent and refused to follow an officer’s commands. An officer on patrol spotted the man about 8:15 p.m. in the 2200 block of Hartsfield Road, said Officer David McCranie of the Tallahassee Police Department.
When asked what he was doing, the man told the officer, “Allah told me to watch a Bruce Willis movie and walk the dog,” McCranie said.
“He was obviously having some sort of emotional distress,” he said. “It was unfortunate we had to use the Taser. … It was the only way we could subdue him without having to hurt him.”
The man was then sent for mental-health evaluation and treatment.

Understanding Islam would let officials accurately gauge the mental health of someone: this dude definitely needs psychological counseling. Another person who gives rational reasons for his (illegal) behavior, at least rational according to Islamic teachings, might be quite mentally stable, thank you.

Well Raymond... this article should open the doors for some banter.

Tasered him, eh? Hmmm. Which body part?

Me, I just can't imagine Allah telling anyone to watch a Bruce Willis movie...

It's probably a good idea to keep such trivializing fluff off of this site. It's hard enough to keep up with the real stuff like Mickey Mouse fatwahs.

Too funny. Feel sorry for the dog, though.

I wonder which Bruce Willis movie Allah wanted him to see. Probably not The Siege, I'm guessing. . .

Aren't dogs "unclean" to Muslims??? He mustn't have got the memo.

Hey maybe the guy isn't so crazy after all - the excuse he gave has worked for plenty of other nut jobs hasn't it?

I agree with comic, this is an absurd story.
In any case, why would "Allah" talk to a McCranie.
Is the guy a Black Muslim or just deranged?
This crap doesn't belong here.
Let's concentrate on important Islamo Fascist activity.

This is what happened.....
The 40 year-old guy and his wife, Alice, were watching a Bruce Willis movie together, and they each had a few cocktails, then they made love on the sofa (which would explain why he was naked); and then right before the movie had ended their dog was scratching on the door to be let out, so his wife, Alice, insisted that he take the dog for a walk before he pooped on the floor!
OK, so the guy was a little drunk at this point and thought, what the hell, it's dark outside, no one will see me, the dog has to go, and he has to go NOW, plus my wife is nagging me to take the dog on a walk. Sheesh - I just don't have time to get dressed, so why not, I'll go like I am, and I'll be back before the neighbors ever see me in my birthday suit, no big deal.
Well, wouldn't luck have it, but he isn't spotted by a neighbor, but by police out on patrol (of course!). So when they stopped to talk to this naked dog walker, and because he was a little sauced, he accidentally said, "Allah told me to watch a Bruce Willis movie and walk the dog"; but what he meant to say was, "Alice told me to watch a Bruce Willis movie and walk the dog". End of story.

From article: this is not Islamic, as Allah would hardly ever tell anyone to walk dogs in the nude.
I don't know about that. In the mental institution Allah tells 'tuned in' people to do all kinds of strange, sometimes violent things. Like drop your pant's in the dinner line. Or throw your tray of food across the room because Allah told you to.
There are no dogs in the institution but there are plenty of nude walkers having conversations with Allah.
Allah only speaks to muslims through the Quran, but he speaks directly to psychotic people, or so they have told me. I can't even count the number of times a psychotic person has told me that 'Allah made me do it'.
So I don't doubt that Allah would tell someone to walk a dog nude, it's probably one of those Allah tests that Naseem talks about.
The Bruce Willis movie about sums it up. I have it on good authority that Allah is a big fan of Bruce.
It's all starting to make sense in a blurred sort of way...

Was the fellow actually a Muslim? The report does not specify.
This would be an intelligent and ironic way of making a point about special treatment accorded to Allah's adherents in the free and civilized world by non Muslim majorities.
at September 17, 2008 1:39 AM
Thanks Champ...Your explanation was also possible, I'm just commenting from the 'institutional' point of view.

Please be careful out there. Remember that muslims employ deception regularly. This "crazy' man could have been a pawn dispatched to see how law enforcement reacts. There may have been observers.
Never, ever take muslim actions at face value. It could cost you your life.

Upon two minutes of very deep contemplation, it seems an excellent idea, when caught in acts of civil disobedience, to claim (especially if you're a najis kafir) "Allah made me do it."
An Allah-related spree of speeding, running lights, smoking in no-smoking areas, parking illegally (really, the possibilities are endless, if you're willing to pay a small fine) might make people take some notice of the irrationality of Allah, and his "slaves".
