First he insisted his sexual prowess was granted him by Allah, then, after the ulema told him to divorce 82 of his 86 wives, or else be put to death, he agreed. Apparently he did not live up to his word.

ABUJA, Nigeria — A Muslim preacher in northern Nigeria who claims 86 wives and 107 children has been charged with breaking Islamic laws governing marriage.Authorities detained 84-year-old Mohammed Bello Masaba on Monday under an order issued by Niger state's Islamic court. It was unclear when the man would appear before the court, or what the potential punishment might be.
Islamic law forbids men from taking more than four wives. But Masaba claims God has blessed all his unions.
He says an ordinary man with even 10 wives would "collapse and die." But because of the power bestowed on him by Allah, he is, in his words, "able to control 86 of them."
Around half of Nigeria's 140 million people are Muslim, and Niger is one of 12 Muslim-majority states that adopted Islam's Sharia criminal code after Nigeria returned to civilian rule in 1999.
Severe corporal punishments imposed by the Sharia courts are rarely carried out and no executions have taken place.
Nigeria's secular, federal government, which controls the national security forces, has said it won't allow the most serious Sharia punishments.
Analysts say Sharia was implemented for political reasons as well as religious conviction - as a show of strength by the Muslim northerners and as an acknowledgment that secular courts had failed to stem years of crime.
Nigeria has 24 other states that do not follow Sharia law.

Of course, the geezer might die soon, but that young buck is going to be left with a lot of "baggage".
Too bad nature doesn't have a mechanism in place to implode the gonads of a man who has spread too much of his genetic material.

A study was done about the Black Plague, that if 1/3 of Europe hadn't died, but procreated, we wouldn't have enough food today. Anyone aware of that study?

Wow I can't believe that he had 86 wives that's just sick. That shows the huge amount of disrespect to women and how the Muslims are taking over and over populating Europe right now. That's how they do it. When he said "able to control 86 of them." immediately I though to myself ,"CONTROLL!?" Women should be able to do what they want and should not be "controlled" by a man especially 86 women. How he could control a women, or 86 women the only way I see that he could do that is by abuse, harassment, or threats.He was using Islam to try to justify the fact that he was "controlling" and probley abusing...and if not abusing who knows what maybe they wanted to be with him (ICK I doubt it). One way or another it was against the law and he was trying to justify it with Islam, which is not good at all. Also, I can see now how the men and women are breeding and overpopulating the Europeans so fast and so easily, with 107 kids per man or even just 5 kids per husband and wife, while the Europeans are on average having only about 1 or no children, It's going to be very easy for them to enforce Sharia Law.

This is unfair. The poor guy probably just forgot to divorce them. Just the other day, I forgot to send in the check for the water bill. Same thing really, right?

That's exactly why he is being charged, he is not an ordinary man and his accusers know it.
He is incredible to them, and they are jealous.
He is a threat to their manhood...The 'ordinary man' would collapse and die...
The authorities are the 'ordinary' men. He reminds them of just how 'ordinary' they are.
They feel impotent before him.
The green eyed monster overwhelms them...Envy...
Then hostility...he must die or at least be severely punished. The manhood of his judges depend on it...Allah willing, and he always is...

in theory ...what is the difference between 4 and 86 wives...the guy was just trying to be a really good Muslim and bring more Muslims into the world (see...107 children)...Children born into Islam never to be allowed to leave...but allowed to pro-create and bring more Muslims into the cult of Islam...the death cult...

But that depends on how you count it.
8+6=14+4=18. 1+8=9. 8+2=10+9=19. 1+9=10. 1+0=1.
So the difference is 1...or 82...
I hope I made that perfectly clear... :)

Yeah, the supposedly nasty elements of the shariah are PURELY THEORETICAL, not a real-world problem, right? Sure, just as long as we ignore the hundreds of Nigerian kaffirs killed and maimed in lynchings and riots...And the churches and shops and homes and schools burned down...
And the death-threats...And the incitements to murder from the mosques...

Look, I'm no fan of this moron Masaba, with his execrable talk of "controlling" his 86 wives, and his obvious neglect of his 107 children.
Nonetheless, I find the most morally disturbing aspect of this morally disturbing story the idea that the Nigerian state is threatening a non-violent *84-year-old man* with death for crossing Islam.
