"Hizballah Brigades in Palestine" set to "carry out Jihad for the sake of Allah and to resist the enemies of Islam"

Not that this has anything to do with Islam, of course. A new group of Misunderstanders of their peaceful religion has popped up among the "Palestinians": "New Islamist armed group set up in Palestinian territories," from China View, October 4 (thanks to Twostellas):

GAZA, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- A new Palestinian militant group named" Hezbollah Brigades in Palestine" declared its establishment in the Palestinian territories to fight against Israel, a statement by the group said Saturday.

The statement, which could not be verified immediately, said the group's goals are to "carry out Jihad for the sake of Allah and to resist the enemies of Islam."

The statement said the new group was established "after some of the factions gave up the militant work against the Israeli occupation," implicitly referring to Islamic Hamas movement which preserves an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire with Israel since June this year.

"We are a Sunni Jihad group which has nothing to do with the politics," said the statement, adding the group "will not exceed the general interest."...

Of course not!

"carry out Jihad for the sake of Allah and to resist the enemies of Islam"

... "enemies of Allah" are those who do not submit to Islam, something POTUS did not tell you when he declared: http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2001/09/20010917-11.html right after 9/11 attacks.

A "Sunni Jihad" group, which takes the name of, and presumably allies itself with, the Shi'a group Hezbollah, which in Lebanon promotes the interests of local Shi'a, and of Shi'a Iran, and of Shi'a-isant Syria, and which is now more and more regarded by Lebanese Sunnis as inimical to, even dangerous to, their interests.

Why does this group call itself Hezbollah? Isn't the local Hamas good enough for it? Perhaps the group wishes, by being so named, to attract Iranian money and weapons. Could it be that this group, calling itself a "Sunni Jihad group," is in fact a stalking-horse not only for Iran, but for Shi'a missionaries, come to subtly insinuate themselves into what has been a nearly all-Sunni society, and to win converts for Shi'a Islam?

And hasn't Qaradawi warned about that? Hasn't Mubarak warned about the Shi'a? Hasn't Abdullah of Jordan worried aloud about the Shi'a? Aren't the Saudis worried about the Shi'a? Aren't the Sunnis in Bahrain, especially the ruler, worred about the local Shi'a who constitute 70-75% of the population? Aren't the Kuwaiti Sunnis worried about the quarter of their population that is Shi'a? Aren't the Sunnis in the U.A.E. worried about Shi'a Iran, that has seized and holds three islands also claimed by the U.A.E.?

Oh, the Sunni Arabs in Gaza should worry about this. "War is deception" is not just a phrase taken to heart by Sunnis, but also by Shi'a. Even, or perhaps especially, by those masters and inventors of Taqiyya, the Shi'a Persians.

Better get cracking. Don't let them make inroads. Wipe them out now, while there's still time.

Wipe them out now, while there's still time.

Hugh, is that a call for genocide, or just Shia-cide or Sunni-cide?

Insecticide.

That posting was written not in propria persona, but as a Sunni Arab, urging other Sunni Arabs to be wary of Shi'a, posing as Sunnis, in order to conduct missionary work among Sunnis. He was speaking from an iimagined but, I think, perfectly plausible script.

Jihad for the sake of Allah

Isn't Allah big enough to take care of himself? Can't he fight his own battles? If not, then he's not much of a god.

The statement said the new group was established "after some of the factions gave up the militant work against the Israeli occupation," implicitly referring to Islamic Hamas movement which preserves an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire with Israel since June this year.

This is *extremely* significant. The "common wisdom" is that groups such as Hamas soon settle down to the mundane tasks of governance--i.e. "filling potholes".

Not only is this often a spurious claim--a concern with good governance is hardly something any group inevitably falls into--but this shows that even if some groups do temporarily cut back on waging violent Jihad, that there are others waiting in the wings.

Jihad, the gift that keeps on giving.

These groups seem to keep splintering according to the time frame they wish to kill Jews. Some are just in a greater desire to get the ball rolling.

Didn't Lebanon, at some point, give some kind of quasi-recognition to Hezbolla. If so, then a semi-official, quasi-official lebanese faction blowing things up in Israel ought to be serious cause for alarm in the Israeli government.

Yes. My understanding is that, in addition to being a recognized part of the Lebanese parliament, that Hizb'allah has full veto power over major governmental decisions. Very, very dangerous.
