Court records list Abdulgader as a resident of Alexandria, Va., and Elarch as a Michigan resident. Both men have been charged with bias-related assault with a dangerous weapon.

Both men told the court that they are foreign nationals from Morrocco.

Which is more offensive, the n-word or 'abd?' I think 'abd' because the n-word is how lazy rednecks pronounce 'negro,' so it could theoretically have a semi-non-offensive interpretation. I grew up in a rough neighborhood for a while. I usually tried to walk away from these sorts of situations. I got beat down a few times, by groups of people and learned the hard way that getting beaten up isn't quite so bad, as going down fighting, and getting beaten up. You have to have been in the situation before know when the point of no return has been passed. This is what I learned. Most bullies are just stupid punks not real predators. They haven't figured out yet that what they are trying to do to someone else may actually happen to them in return. It has been my pleasure on several occasions to help educate some of these idiots. Stupid punks turn into chicken shits real quick when you knock most of their teeth down throat (yes people actually swallow some if you knock enough out at one time), and or deliberately strike them in the trachea. If you go after these people do not fight them "fair" take the first punch, and do it as fast as you can, as dirty as you can striking them in such a way as to change their lives forever, never let them forget you. You want lasting damage that they can see in the mirror for the rest of their lives. You must be worthy of any action needed to preserve yourself. That is the mindset. Most real predators will avoid combat, because they know this could be the outcome of conflict, so a real predator will typically avoid combat if they can. These kids with the bottle were punks, the mistake was showing fear then walking away. Alien I would suggest martial arts, a club that allows full contact sparing. When you live in this world combat slows down from chaos into clarity, when the average punk doesn't detect fear the problem is usually solved. Since my training I have only been in one fight, which was outside a restaurant in an ally (muggers). Since your country is getting over run you must train or you, and your family will be a target. If you are assaulted you may be surprised at how pleasurable combat can be if you find someone deserving enough. You'll just have to trust me on that.

Historically, Stonewall 1969 riots was an occasion when queers - gay being a later term - (Hell, I kinda like 'queer' personally - different is no great burden) - rampaged demanding (the police) stay out of their lives (Bedrooms, etc.). How more conservative an annti-government can one get?
Maybe Georgetown needs a few Lacoste wearing Charles Martel's, Jan Sobieski's, Don Juan's of Austria (and their partners to augment the force) of the gay community to stroll through some of these ummas - without lawyers - after their near ritualistic gym workouts. (Frankly, it would be a good use beyond vanity for their membership. I'm a 3X per week guy.)

In my dojo we have a few gay men, whom after being assaulted decided to train in self defence. One guy in particular is a real bad ass, and a savage to spar with. I could tell you some funny stories, but anyways I recommend training, because if these primates attack you, just imagine how wonderful it would feel to beat the snot out of them! Since this was a "hate" crime with religious motivation I think we will be seeing more of it as their population increases. They should be getting the snot knocked out of them each and every time they try this stuff, then deportation.

I trained under black belt instructors in Kajukenbo. I became the secretary treasurer of the school, and was instrumental in organizing kumite competitions. In that capacity I met Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee.

The overall lesson is...Never underestimate anyone, and always be prepared...

I've had many gay friends (male and female) throughout my life. Some outwardly gay, others not so much. They were all very good friends and still are.

As an American, it's none of my business what these folks do in their bedrooms. Nor is what I do in my bedroom any of their business. This is tolerance. Something moslems cannot and will not understand.

Back in the 1980's I knew some guys who were desperate for money and they decided they were going to beat up some gay guys down on the strip and rob them. Both of them came back beaten and bloody and with missing teeth and broken arms. Suffice it to say, thinking that 'fags were fairies' was a very bad call, and these thugs got what they deserved.

It is interesting I started training because I was getting into too many fights, every time I left the house it seemed at one point. Initially the purpose was to be able to bash people faces in better, but something very ironic happened which is that the totality of what I learned is the greatest conflict resolution tool. It changes everything in your life. Other than the incident with the muggers there has been no violence in my life since I started training, but in a sick way I think I enjoyed the mugging more than the muggers did.

One of my husband's friends did martial arts training and he told us the same thing.

By the way, knowing that you guys have done the training that you have, explains a lot about the technique you use in your verbal encounters with the Mohammedan Boggarts and Dementors.

The whole thread is making me think that I better hurry up and arrange for my older children (son, 18, quiet and studious; daughter, 15, cute as a button) to do a basic martial arts/ self-defence course. The idea's been nagging at me for awhile and I haven't yet acted upon it.

Visiting undaunted's blog is very sobering, too.

Random thought: does anyone know whether Mr Geert Wilders, for example, and Mr Robert Spencer, and their wives too, have done any solid martial arts training?

If *I* were in their position, I'd have signed self and spouse up for something like krav maga/ karate/ judo/ kung fu on the very day that the first Mohammedan death threat arrived in the mail.

I'd back Wilders or Spencer properly trained, over a Muslim berserker assassin, any day: because both of them have mental focus, clarity, courage and humility. Combine that with a black belt and you'd have something cool and deadly.

I'd be hard pressed to say when any one person should act; but a good and healthy training regimen provides for good judgement.
This case is one where there are a number of buttons to push. (Gawd! Can you just imagine the various defenses.)
Let's look at what is most evident here. Whether the assailants were drunk or not, (even bearing the 'sin' of that 'haram') they were culturally disposed to do violence upon the victims - no matter what their life style was.
This is not unique. What have we been reading about for years now from those quaint little Hans Christian Anderson villages and the dorfs by which that Han Brinker was skating by in Europe?
We are dealing with people who believe wherever they are their hegemony is absolute.

This has been evolving for some time. All the time its taken to get o this point we have been here. We have been here while Robert Spencer, Hugh Fitgerald, Steve Emerson, John Loftus, Frank Gaffney and others have been speaking and writing.
