Tribal elders
What was that again about the Taliban breaking away from al-Qaeda and seeking peace?
"Taliban militants behead four in Pakistan," from AFP, October 11:
:KHAR, Pakistan (AFP) — Taliban rebels decapitated four pro-government tribal elders in a Pakistan border region where the army is fighting Al-Qaeda and extremist militants, officials said Saturday. It was the second killing this week in Bajaur of tribal elders, who have established an armed force to support the government's military campaign against Al-Qaeda and Taliban fighters in the area.
"This morning locals reported bodies of four tribal elders were lying on roadside," local administration official Mohammad Jamil told AFP, adding that the bodies showed extensive signs of torture.
A security official who declined to be named said the beheadings had been done by Al-Qaeda and Taliban militants to scare the local population away from supporting the army operations.
Four other pro-government elders were beheaded and their bodies found on Thursday.

For how long have those same "tribal elders" been supporting al Qaeda and giving shelter to Osama and company? Now they're victims? PLEASE!
So "the beheadings had been done by Al-Qaeda and Taliban militants to scare the local population away from supporting the army operations"?
Let's see how they respond. If they really care about their country and their future, they'll fight the "militants". If they don't, no one else can do their fighting for them. They'll just have to live with the Taliban and al Qaeda. They were the ones who welcomed them into their midst.

No, no, no, you silly people. Of COURSE the Taliban is for peace! Once they take over the world, crush all resistance, and make women slaves to their men, THERE WILL BE PEACE!!! It is YOU who is anti-peace, tearing the populace away from their propaganda and stirring up tricky questions about "liberty" and such. Silly Jihadwatch! And not to mention that mall jihadist who was "fighting for Allah, man". How can you say these guys arent for peace???????????

truthagenda,
I'd love to, but that site is totally unreadable.
Way too many frills. Why must all these conspiracy sites be so fancy? It's a conspiracy!

I sleep soundly at night, knowing that rough muslims stand ready to behead other muslims, not exactly on my behalf. But, it's close enough for government work.
Really.

Muslims killing Muslims. Why should anyone be surprised? Same old same old. Kill the kuffaar. Kill the fellow Muslim who doesn't agree with you. Love death more than life. Kill. Kill. Kill. Such is the sickness which is Islam. What a nightmare Mohammed spawned. Damn him. Damn him for all time. I guess it was inevitable that mankind would eventually get a sicko religion. Boy, did we ever.

Isn't it wonderful that the "realists" finally realize that you can't have peace without engaging the Taliban in "dialogue"? I'm sure peace will be breaking out any time now! Of course, if you want to get a glimpse of what that "peace" will look like, see above...

From above.. local administration official Mohammad Jamil told AFP, adding that the bodies showed extensive signs of torture.
It is never good enough to just kill an opponent, they must extensively torture them first, and it ain't waterboarding.
There is no doubt in my mind that the actual hands on torturers are having a sexual experience while torturing and murdering...
It's hard for depravity to sink any lower than that...

I wonder what the Taliban would stuff ballot boxes with?

Sarcasm on/
It's a wonderful life. Every time a person is killed, a muslim earns his wings!

I could use some voices at the combox of a post I did Here.
We seem to have an "enlightened" scholar of Islam who is attempting to help me understand how "Jihad" = "To struggle within oneself".
Anyone want to jump in on the fun?

Par for the course.
Think about how Saddam Hussein behaved: dropping people feet first into shredders. ::shudder:: - his own death was dignified and more than merciful, compared to the deaths he forced thousands of others to die. (I hope, if there is a hell for murderers like Saddam, that the punishment simply involves being made to feel, one after the other, in strict measure, no more, no less, exactly what each of their victims felt. Be Done By As You Did. Perhaps the only thing that could smash through that granite wall of malignant narcissism. Though facing up the Judge of Heaven and Earth and discovering that He was a Jew in a prayer shawl might also have made a bit of a dent).
During the Ottoman period there was a war-lord/ gang boss/ Muslim mobster in what is now northern Israel, who was nick-named "The Butcher". I suspect that that title was borne by more than one local or imperial ruler, throughout the lands of Islam, throughout its history.
The Ottoman Caliphs appear to have included a good many out and out psychopaths, too. I understand that there was one who used to amuse himself by taking pot shots at his subjects - whether Muslim, Christian, Jew, didn't matter , he just liked shooting people dead at random in the street, with his bow and arrow. One caliph, in a fit of ennui, had all the women in his harem sewn up into muslin sacks and dumped into the Bosphorus to drown.
The opening 'frame' story of the 1001 Nights: the Sultan who (after having been cuckolded) decides to marry a virgin, deflower her, kill her in the morning (so she can't possibly 'dishonour' him), then marry another, and so on, suddenly starts to sound - once one starts learning about the goings-on in the Islamosphere throughout history - like flat realism, like something someone, somewhere, possibly *did*. (only snag - if you're doing that to your wives, killing them off after the first night, you're not going to have any children...and that is indeed the point of the story: because Scheherazade manages to persuade the Sultan to keep her alive night after night for days, weeks, months, years, she is able to get pregnant and produce offspring).
Hannibal Lecter [fictional] and Jeffrey Dahmer [real] had *nothing*, *nothing* on the plethora of serial killers and psychopathic mass murderers that the Ummah has vomited forth, in the course of its history.
A Carlebach on Islam (Ma'ariv 7 October 1955) has been quoted many times here at jihadwatch, but one paragraph of his inimitable summing-up deserves to be repeated here:
"Wherever Islamic psychology rules, there is the inevitable rule of despotism and criminal aggression."
The Gangster Religion.

Now the tribal elders understand the piece of Islam, as their heads and bodies are in pieces.

Ahh the Jackals at play – how predictable.
One wonders who are the “misunderstdanders of Islam”, the beheaders or the beheaded?

I'm no islamic scholar and don't care to learn it any more than necessary for protection, but it seems to me that there is a retrograde aspect in regard to human sacrifice.
The Jewish sacrifice lesson is something like 'Be willing to give all, but human sacrifice is rejected' (in favor of animals).
What is this, screaming your chosen master's name while slitting a person's throat? Is the torture religiously condoned?
How would a scholar explain to a novice the role of human sacrifice in the development, history, and current practice of islam? Are there any teachings or opinions that might serve as references?
As to the strategy and tactics, the results of Al Q. killing the tribal elders in Iraq probably places this in the 'good news' category.
Well, decided to do a quick search before posting and found this at an expert site:
http://jihadwatch.org/dhimmiwatch/archives/003955.php
Still, I am intrigued by the question from the perspective of human / religious development, and as a possible way to educate.

Another question: why should anyone care? If Muslims won't fight this evil then why should anyone who is not a Muslim care about them anyway? They certainly don't return the favor. Instead they yell at US that theirs is a religion of peace and we are the ones who are twisting it. After more than three decades of this, (I know it's been fourteen centuries, but this is the modern incarnation.) why should any of us care?

Careful Talabanis. The random execution strategy backfired on the Al-Qaeda in Irag. If you kick the dog too many times, it will bite you.
