Al-Qaeda trying to "control entrances in the Red Sea"

More indication that the Somali pirate raids are part of the jihad. Increased popularity for the water jihad may have to do with the fact that, according to most jurists, the jihadist who dies fighting at sea receives double the "reward" of the one who dies on land.

"Al-Qaeda possibly behind piracy in Gulf of Aden: official says," from News Yemen, October 13:

SANA’A, NewsYemen

Manager of the Presidency Office Ali Mohammad al-Anisi as saying that al-Qaeda might be behind the piracy in the Yemeni and Somali waters as al-Qaeda called on its militants last April to transfer operations to the Gulf of Aden and to control entrances in the Red Sea...

AbuBakerSmith has suggested that some of the Pirates are meetimg shipments on a shedule, intentionaly. They are possibly simply a way for them to receive "supplies" without connecting the seller to the intended customer.

"Al-Qaeda possibly behind piracy" - ya think?

The idea that the pirate raids are scheduled so as to allow terrorists "to receive "supplies" without connecting the seller to the intended customer" leaves open the question: who are the sellers and who are the intended buyers? Is this just a backdoor method of funneling aid? Then who is doing the funneling: the seller, the buyer or both?

Contact your Member of Congress to insist that our Navy be turned loose on these so-called pirates. Remember the U.S.S. Cole, and a belated happy birthday to the U.S. Navy. BZ

You mean you get *144* self-renewing virgins in Paradise? Yo Ho! A pirate's life for me!

We pillage, we plunder, we rifle and loot!
We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot!

Only problem with being a Muslim pirate:

They can't DRINK UP MEHEARTIES! (YO HO!)

yep, and not only that, 144 is a magical number...think the 144,000 who ascended into heaven according to some religions.
I don't doubt Mohammad stole that also. He was not literate but I'm sure he could add 72+72, or someone could add it for him.
Seventy two is also a magical number...
Among his other hobbies, Mohammad seems to have been an occultist.

Do they all have to be virgins? Can I get a stripper or two? Maybe even just one marginally experienced girl?

Having to deal with that many virgins (self-retreading) would be extremely tiresome after a while.

Oh, you're just saying that, because you lack the sick Muslim need to hurt a woman, every time you want some whoopie!

You're one of those normal people who dare to think experience might be an asset! For shame!

They are going to need something a little more substancial than a few launches and yachts to close the Red Sea. One destroyer could blow their whole jihad navy to matchsticks!
