"Racist and hateful" Muslim gets four-year sentence for firebombing Jewish school

A terrorist act. "Montreal Jewish school firebomber gets 4-year sentence," from CBC News, November 17 (thanks to all who sent this in):

A Montreal man accused of firebombing a Jewish school was sentenced to four years in prison for what a judge described as a terrorist act.
Azim Ibragimov, 25, pleaded guilty earlier this year to firebombing the Skver-Toldos Orthodox Jewish Boys School in Outremont in 2006, and attempting to attack the Snowdon YM-YWHA the following year.

He also pleaded guilty to uttering threats in the form of letters that claimed the crimes were committed in the name of Islamic Jihad, a militant group that vows to destroy Israel and set up an Islamic Palestinian state.

The letters also hinted there were more incidents to come.

The arson attack was racist and hateful, and amounted to terrorism, Quebec Judge Gilles Cadieux said in his long ruling issued Monday at the Montreal courthouse....

For that, Gilles Cadieux will himself be called racist and hateful.

Four year sentence for arson is ridiculous but combined with the threats and another attempt it is in itself criminal. Another example of why I'm thankful not to be a citizen of that pathetic excuse for a country. My best friend is a former Canadian who is a proud USA citizen and he will echo my sentiments.

Pismopal, it seems to me the the good ol' USA is the only country on the planet where laws and jail terms aren't tailor-made to please leftarded crook lovers who believe in that oh-criminals-are-just-victims-of-an-evil-capitalist-society BS.

And that same mentality that bestows upon crooks victimhood status and very little or no blame at all for their offenses, no matter how hideous they may be, is just another version of how those who say "blame not the jihadists, but the reasons that motivate them to commit their acts" think (or lack the ability to think at all.)

There is a part of this story that has been forgotten or neglected. He is only going to serve 10 more months, not 4 years and he is not required to compensate his victims for their expenses incurred because of his deluded actions.

Justice? Hardly.

Four years/ten months won't stop him. A leopard does not change it's spots. He will formulate jihad attacks while in prison...and apply it when he gets out...

On release, he should be deported...or given a government job...

Instead of punishing him, we should establish a dialogue with him. Oh, and give him and his friends millions of our tax dollars. Maybe if we pay enough jizya, with enough humiliation, they won't murder our family, to prove they are peaceful.

I applaud the Québecers for their audacity and good sense in realising that many Muslim Immigrants need extra handling to help them accomodate themselves to new realities and to adapt to civilised Québéçois society.

I also ask why our US government is not acting in similar fashion.

I suspect that in a few years, Canada will wake up to the danger posed by the Jihadis and throw a lot of bums out. As an American, my only fear is that they will beat us to the punch.
