Terror-mastermind Rashid Rauf was a "very pious Muslim"

From aspirations of owning a gas station to blowing up ten infidel-laden jets

Thanks to Jeffrey Imm, here's an article about Rashid Rauf (just killed, see below) from over a year ago. Like many others Misunderstanders-of-Islam, he seems to have believed that jihad (of the militant variety, mind you) is "obligatory for every Muslim." Also, like many other jihadists, he seems to have become "radicalized" in the West, citing the latter's "un-Islamic" -- synonymous with debauched and depraved -- qualities. Interestingly, however, Rauf's friend says the former was planning on becoming a simple gas-station owner, and yet, over a year later, we find him as a fugitive on-the-run living in an al-Qaeda stronghold. The obligation of jihad must have returned to haunt him -- either that or he or his friend or both were just lying about the gas station bit.

"Jihad obligatory for every Muslim: Rashid Rauf," from the Daily Times, April 17, 2007:

ISLAMABAD: The alleged mastermind of the London terror plot, British-born Pakistani Rashid Rauf, believes that jihad is obligatory for all Muslims, and after release he wants to live in Pakistan and set up a Compressed Natural Gas station in Jhelum, Mehboob Ilahi, Rauf’s fellow prisoner, told Daily Times after being released late Saturday night.

“Rashid wants to live in Pakistan because he is against the un-Islamic British society,” said Ilahi, who spent six months with Rauf in a sub-jail of Police Civil Lines in Rawalpindi. “An Islamic conference attracted Rauf towards Pakistan. He is a very pious Muslim,” said Ilahi.

“Rauf told me that he was arrested during a journey to Multan at Lodhran Phatak when a man sitting with him in the bus asked him [Rauf ] what his opinion was on jihad and he replied that he believed it was every Muslim’s obligation,” said Ilahi. He said Rauf had not been arrested in Rawalpindi as previously reported, but instead had been apprehended at Lodharan Pathak on August 8.

Ilahi, Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal National Assembly member Maulana Abdul Aziz’s brother, was reportedly arrested on August 25, 16 days after the foiling of the London terror plot. The government had provided terror charges against him but he was released after the Supreme Court review board found him innocent. “Rauf and I were kept in a very small cell. The police did not even provide enough water for us to perform ablution,” said Ilahi. “Investigation personnel have badly beaten Rauf during interrogations and once he lost consciousness for three days following a beating,” Ilahi added.

Terror-mastermind Rashid Rauf was a "very pious Muslim"

Aren't they all? Hopefully he's enjoying his 72 raisins!

Terror-mastermind Rashid Rauf was a "very pious Muslim"

This is the crux of the difference between our civilization and the Muslim world. In our civilization, "very pious", good, gentile, kind, helpful, etc. all sort of fit together.

To us, the Muslim world is upside down. The Muslim ideal moral standard is that of a blood thirsty bigot. They would kill any non pious or non believers and particularly Jews in their midst and feel that they are closer to Allah as a result.

Another cockroach knocked off and has made his to the streets of "paradise." Excellent news but remember that the fight is a long one and just like real roaches, there are plenty more from where this one came from. The increased attacks will pay over the long haul and let's hope comrade obama will not tamper with this policy. This tactic should be expanded on at once, wherever we find these bugs and take them out. We can worry about international whining and criticism later on.

Should have read "and has made his way to the streets of paradise." Sorry for my inept typing.

Typos are just not acceptable here.

He is now dead.
Very dead.
One less off the streets and away from decent human beings on this earth whom he wished to kill for not being muslim.
Good riddance and may more of his ilk meet the same fate.

Whenver I hear the phrase 'very pious Muslim' or 'devout Muslim' I get very worried-- it invariably means 'kafr-hating Muslim'.

From The Times Of London on-line:

"The government is under pressure to disclose what it knew about an American missile strike that has reportedly killed a British terrorist suspect in Pakistan.

Senior MPs from both main parties said they would be asking if British intelligence knew the CIA was planning the attack, which reportedly killed Rashid Rauf, 27, a UK citizen and terrorist suspect said to have led the alleged 2006 liquid bomb plot to blow up aeroplanes. Rauf is believed to have been one of five militants killed in Pakistan yesterday.

Critics of the action include Andrew Dismore, who chairs parliament’s human rights committee, and Patrick Mercer, former shadow security minister, who said: “This raises the question of how much cooperation the British intelligence agencies provided in what is ultimately the execution of a British subject. The government must explain its involvement.” The Foreign Office said it was unable to confirm that Rauf died when a drone fired three missiles at a house. He has been on the run since last year. "

____________________________________

"Senior Mps [sic] from both major parites....would be asking if British intelligence knew the CIA was planning the attack?" Why? What's it to them? Do they care if Rashid Rauf was killed? Shouldn't Infidels everywhere be delighted, and nowhere more so than in Great Britain? What do such people -- described as "critics of the action" -- as Andrew Dinsmore, "who chairs parliament's human rights committee," and Patrick Mercer "former shadow security minister," think they are doing when they describe the killing of would-be mass-murderer Rashid Rauf as "the execution of a British subject"? Rashid Rauf was a "British subject" alright, just the way that William Joyce was, but far more immediately dangerous than Lord Ha-Ha was, when he was finally caught. And the word "executed" conveys a false meaning. Are they, those senior MPs, crazy?

It is they who, in raising any questions about this whatsoever, as if it were somethiing that British intelligence should have had no business assisting or been implicated in (of course it should: Well-bowled, boys!), should even be ashamed of, are now called into question.

Yes, it's time to find out why people who think this kind of action should be deplored rather than applauded should be in Parliament at all. It is they who have some answering to do, not least to those whom they claim to instruct and to protect. Such people should be turned out of office the sooner the better, and then kept far away from any positions of power or influence. They, and all those like them. who think this welcome event as "the execution of a British subject." Rauf may have been a "British subject," but he was one in the sense that Wiliam Joyce was a British subject. And Joyce was caught and dispatched after World War II had ended, while Rauf was still intent on killing Infidels, including fellow but non-Muslim "British subjects," in a war that has no end.

Yes it is! It vaguely resembles the nose of the Great Leader that Woody Allen assassinates (by steam roller) in his 1973 movie "Sleeper."

Rauf's dispatch was an honor killing in the true sense.
I really admire our tendency to target jihadis in Pakistan. Any country that harbors such trash has forfeited its territorial integrity.

"I've got a little list, I've got a little list", goes the song from Gilbert and Sullivan's 'The Mikado'.

Well: there are in fact two lists. One is that which M15 and other Infidel intelligence agencies have compiled, and are compiling...and alas, it is not little, it is the ever-lengthening list of all those Mohammedans, especially within our borders, who are suspected of possibly wanting to plot murder and mayhem.

No-one on that list will be missed, by any Infidel. One less plotter of mass murder, one less practitioner of jihad fi sabeel allah.

The other little list is that which astute jihadwatchers in all kafir lands are, I am sure, mentally compiling, as names appear over time in news reports, and public statements are made. It divides into two.

One half of the list, call it part A, comprises those journalists, religious leaders, opinion leaders, academics and - especially - politicians, who show promise, who appear to grasp at least something of the grave danger of the Third Jihad in all its forms. For example: there is one Senator in the Australian parliament who understands something of the danger of Sharia Creep. IN the Netherlands, there is Geert Wilders and those who have joined him. Among Anglican clergy, most notably, there is Canon Patrick Sookhdeo and Bishop Nazir-Ali (there are others: the vicar of St Aldate's Oxford; and Dr Mark Durie, in Australia).

The politicians or aspiring politicians who belong to part A of this list, require assiduous encouragement, praise, and extra information. They require Votes.

The other half of the list, call it part B, comprises those who, like Andrew Dismore and Patrick Mercer, are clearly no use at all. Whatever their reasons for doing or saying what they do or say, they are - as Hugh has pointed out - dangerous.

These MP's are making statements for public consumption only. It is PC politics as usual. Intelligent arms of any government operate on a need to know bases. The public vetting of this subject by these fools shows clearly why they were not told nor should they ever be told.

What the US does in one sense is not the business of other government and is probably best kept that way. Especially in situations like this.

Interesting point: every British Pak I have ever talked to seem to have dual passports.

It seems the British passport is being used as a flag of convenience with the instant benefits of the welfare state thrown in.

How the hell do the intelligence agencies keep track of them, vanish into Pakistan on the Brit passport and then its whip out the Pak passport to Jihad central.

But getting to the main point, the more of terrorist getting culled the better and I hope it’s the SAS lighting up the targets.

The PC, liberal morons in government in London better wake up because I can assure the average Joe on the street is not happy.

One would say that there are bad people in almost every religion - almost. But, only in Islam you will see that all Muslim terrorists are very religious, very pious and very devout Muslims. This implies beyond the shadow of doubt the following about Islam:

All devout pious Muslims are terrorists.

Muhammad himself was a terrorist according to the Koran.

All devout Muslims rejoiced at the death of more than 3000 people on 911.

All Muslims who did not rejoice on 911 were simply born into Islam and they probably hate and resent Islam and they are stuck with it. They cannot have it both way - they either believe that Islam is evil or they rejoice at any terrorism act that kills American for their religious leaders call for the death of any or all Americans.

There are no moderate Muslims - they either believe in Islam and its terrorism acts or they believe that Islam is a fake and evil religion suitable only to terrorists - again, they cannot have it both ways - there is no red hot ice nor there is ice cold flame.

The vast majority of Muslims are terrorists for they believe is Islam and its inseparable terrorism - they may lie, cheat, deny, explain or even defend Islam and when they do they are practicing Taquia - Muslims are supposed to lie and defend Islam their Koran calls for it.

Those who defend Islam are defending terrorism and that makes them true terrorists.

God and Allah are two opposites - God is great and peace loving. Allah is a blood thirsty evil who wants Muslims to kill innocent people for his sake (fi sabil Allah). Even the Koran confirms this.

When the Muslims want to cheer for terrorism they say "Allhu Akbar" which translates to English "Devil is bigger" or greatest - this has been recorded on many black-boxes where Muslim terrorists were involved and on the Internet by the Muslim terrorists themselves when they were decapitating innocent prisoners they had kidnapped.

The only good Muslims or moderate Muslims are those who believe that Islam a fake and evil religion and they do not truly believe in it.
