Karzai drops political jargon, makes troubling philosophical observations

Such as, "The Afghans don't understand any more how a little force like the Taliban can continue to exist, can continue to flourish, can continue to launch attacks with 40 countries in Afghanistan, with entire NATO force in Afghanistan, with entire international community behind them - yet still we are not able to defeat the Taliban."

Indeed, why is that? Why does this "little force" have so much influence? When will bands like the Taliban -- or, for that matter, al-Qaeda -- be decisively defeated? When does one declare victory?

When one finally appreciates that the ideologies driving such groups are grounded in what they believe to be eternal, immutable commandments from the Almighty, one will understand that the threat of radical Islam is not temporal, that it transcends time and space, that it transcends grievances and psychoanalyses, that it, and its peculiar institution, jihad, have existed from the dawn of Islam and are not about to go away anytime soon; or what I dub, the Hydra-Monster syndrome.

"Afghan President doubts NATO's war against terrorism in Afghanistan," by Farhad Peikar for South Asia News, November 26 (thanks to Jeffrey Imm):

Kabul - Seven years after the fall of the Taliban in the US- led invasion in Afghanistan, the NATO war on terrorism remains 'unclear', President Hamid Karzai said on Wednesday - and demanded a timeline for its success.

'This fight against terrorism and civilian casualties has been continuing for the past seven years. Our villages are bombarded, our people are getting killed,' Karzai told a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Jaap De Hoop Scheffer in his presidential palace.

Karzai said Afghanistan was burning because of 'a war which is unclear what it is for, and what we are doing.'

Karzai's remarks came a day after he told the representatives of 14 members of the UN Security Council in Kabul that the Afghan people wanted to know that how long the fight against terrorism would continue.

'The Afghans don't understand any more how a little force like the Taliban can continue to exist, can continue to flourish, can continue to launch attacks with 40 countries in Afghanistan, with entire NATO force in Afghanistan, with entire international community behind them - yet still we are not able to defeat the Taliban,' Karzai's office said in a statement.

The UNSC delegation headed by Giulio Terzi, Italy's ambassador to the Security Council arrived in Kabul for a three-day-visit on Monday.

'It is better that you should set a timeline for your victory, for the victory of all us against terrorism. Not a timeline for withdrawal, but set a date when this war can succeed, and under what conditions this war can succeed,' Karzai told reporters...

A profound question with critical implications.

"Afghan President doubts NATO's war against terrorism in Afghanistan"

Go figure. It's "NATO's war". Not a war of supposedly "moderate" Muslims against supposedly "radical" Muslims. Not a war of the followers of a peaceful "Great World Religion" against the satanic misunderstanders of that religion -- not a war by the forces of right against the forces of wrong. According to Karzai, it's "NATO's war", not his.

As long as arrogant Muslims strut around the planet calling this world our "NATO's war", or "America's war", or whatever little lie they happen to have on their lips at the time -- this world war will never end.

When Islam views Infidels as equals, is as good an answer as one can expect.

Stone Age is, as Stone Age does.

Conclude that Islam itself is evil and all else will fall into place for the civilized world to save itself from a monstrous ideology. Don't conclude this and be prepared to continue, ad nauseam, to re-arrange the deck chairs on the sinking Titanic.

I am from India. Living in US. Ever since 9/11 international air travel has become unbearable. especially travelling to india with kids. and these daily inhuman violence against fellow human beings in the name of the muhammadan cult is depressing to say the least. all through history how many great cultures and people have suffered due to the atrocities of the muhammadan cult. this cult that was devised by the evil mind of the desert ruffian, pedophile muhammad. this father of this evil death cult and his minions such as osama bin laden. the suffering of humanity will demand eternal justice from these blood thirsty vermin. the worst part of dante's inferno is most surely reserved for muhammad. the murders, rape, lies and worst of all, miguiding people into a distorted understanding of God. May God avenge the blood and suffering of humanity on muhammad. may muhammad live in eternal shame in the eyes of all good men and women when God brings justice. may muhammad be accursed. may the punishment the Lord brings on muhammad serve justice for the innocent blood, dirty pedophile muhammad shed .
i am from India. i am a Roman Catholic. Christians are persecuted in some parts of India by Hindus. especially currently in orissa. but these fanatic hindus are emulating the muhammadan jihadi model. I curse muhammad's name. i curse and spit on this cult he founded. this desert barbarian and his cult is a scourge on humanity. many good men have turned into dangerous cruel criminals due to this cult. this cult brings out the worst side of human nature. may muhammad taste the wrath of God for all eternity in hell amidst the torments of evil, sin, ugliness, shame, guilt and horror.
day in and day out we have to put up with these vermin. they parade our lands wearing a mask of friendship and civil rights. but inside they seeth with the poison this death cult has fed them.
may the follower of this death cult who attempts to shed innocent blood trip and fall to ignominous death.

To you, O Lord, I call;
my rock, do not refuse to hear me,
for if you are silent to me,
I shall be like those who go down to the Pit.
Hear the voice of my supplication,
as I cry to you for help,
as I lift up my hands towards your most holy sanctuary.

Do not drag me away with the wicked,
with those who are workers of evil,
who speak peace with their neighbors,
while mischief is in their hearts.
Repay them according to their work,
and according to the evil of their deeds;
repay them according to the work of their hands;
render them their due reward.
Because they do not regard the works of the Lord,
or the work of his hands,
he will break them down and build them up no more.

Mr. Spencer - Ever read the Time Traveler?

If you have a few minutes, I think you'll enjoy it. Its a short story about a time traveler coming from the future to tell us how the war on terror resulted.

The West, or rather the Rest (of the world), has a great deal to do in protecting itself against Islam. Squandering men, money, materiel, and attention that distracts from the weapons of Jihad (the Money Weapon, campaigns of Da'wa, demographic conquest) that are being deployed before our very eyes, but beyond the understanding of too many, within the Lands of the Infidels, all in order to attempt, vainly and ignorantly, to transform the Muslim world, to bring to it, as Bush wished in Iraq, "freedom" (or "freedom for ordinary moms and dads" as he so memorably put it), and with that "freedom" (never quite defined, but apparently being limited to mere head-counting at election time, but without any of the guarantees of equal treatment for non-Muslims or for women, or any of the solicitousness for individual freedoms, including those, such as freedom of speech and freedom of religion, that are deemed essential in the advanced Western world) has been proven folly, in both Iraq and now in Afghanistan.

The military campaigns, and the unrealistic goals set -- goals that do not help Infidels even if they could be achieved, which they cannot -- are in both countries largely a waste. And the campaigns in both countries, still worse, also preoccupy those making policy, and help them to avert their eyes from what is happening elsewhere, as the Lesser Jihads -- that against Israel, that against India -- proceed, and are joined by newer ones, who now act against the Philippines, or Thailand, or wherever Muslims live and wish to demand more, and more, not in order to ever be assuaged, but only in order to demand more and more and more. And the most important theatre in this world-wide Jihad is now Western Europe, and yet our leaders in Washington seem hell-bent on averting their eyes from Western Europe, or from the problem that those who take seriously the ideology of Islam pose, and pose permanently, to all Infidels. For the essence of Islam, a Total Belief-System that contains a politics and a geopolitics, a faith that is totalitarian in the sense that it leaves no other room, to an individual or a society, outside of Islam, is baed on one thing: the inculcated notion that there is a permanent division of humanity between Muslims and non-Muslims, Believers and Infidels, and that between the two, the Believers and the Infidels, a permanent state of war (though not necessarily of open warfare) exists, and that it can only end with the final triumph of Islam, as everywhere, all obstacles to the spread, and then the dominance, of Islam are removed. This is not the fantasy of the paranoid. This is set out clearly by Muslim jurisconsults. Any fair reading of the texts -- Qur'an, Hadith, and Sira -- by an intelligent and well-informed reader, will yield that understanding. It is exactly the understanding that the greatest Western scholars of Islam -- agreeing with the greatest Muslim scholars of Islam -- such people as Joseph Schacht and C. Snouck Hurgronje and Henri Lammens and Samuel Zwemer and St. Clair Tisdall and hundreds of other scholars, French and German, Dutch and English, American and Italian, Spanish and Belgian, Bulgarian and Serbian, arrived at, after decades of study. And they have been echoed, or re-confirmed, today, when those who are apologists for Islam, such as John Esposito, have -- supported by Arab money -- taken over, or at least monopolized, so many academic centers for the study of Islam (and, as if that were not enough, the Saudis and Kuwaitis and other rich Arabs have deliberately set up, and funded, not only whole "academic centers" under the supposed aegis of this or that venerable university, but have also paid for special programs, or endowed chairs, to be filled by those who meet the requirements of those footing the bill, and who want to get, and do get, their money's worth).

We should pull out of Afghanistan, using drones and spy satellies to keep watch, and perhaps locals on the ground who, for small sums, may act as intelligence agents. And then play the game of supporting first this tribe, and then that, keeping Afghanistan essentially under control, the way that used to be done, and not feeling so much for the plight of the people, because that plight, if correctly analyzed, comes from Islam itself, and it is Islam itself that must be weakened, as a political and social force, and for that to happen, the Infidels must withdraw their aid, withdraw their interest, and allow not only internecine strife, but to cleverly exploit that strife, and what's more, to do whatever it takes to encourage the recognition by the 80% of the world's Muslims who are not Arab that Islam is now, has always been, and will always be, a vehicle for Arab imperialism -- linguistic, cultural, economic, and political. That happens to be true. But it needs to be said, to be repeated, and the evidence, both of doctrine and of behavior, needs to be presented so that non-Arabs are made keenly aware of it.

And there are other ways to help hold Islam at bay, to check its power, by for example diminishing OPEC revenues and forcing the rich Muslim states to pay far more for the privilege of receiving medical care, education, and the assurance of military support for the ruling elites, not to mention new bills that ought to be presented, including that of protection from pirates who are themselves Muslims. At the very least, the Infidel world need not continue to transfer tens of billions of dollars to the poorer Muslim countries, but can demand that they seek aid from their rich fellow members of the Umma. And whether that aid is granted, or whether it is not, or granted in lesser amounts, the effect will be the same: resentment by the recipients of their rich "brothers" who do not adequately share, and resentment, by the Saudis, Kuwaitis, and others, of the demands of the Egyptians, the Jordanians, the soi-disant "Palestinians," not to mention the attitude of disgust when those Pakistanis actually show up, hat in hand, for some of that fine Arab largesse.

It just takes a little thought, a little study. Can someone like General James Jones, big, bluff, blunt, a military man who has spent his life giviing and taking orders and seldom having the leisure, or the mental bent, conceivably begin at this point in his rough, tough, six foot four inch life, begin to comprehend Islam, or Jihad, or the instruments of Jihad, or why what happens in Great Britain demogrpahically is more important than anything that happens in Iraq or Afghanistan, or why, furthermore, that the plans he has to actually put American troops in "the West Bank" in order to help create what should forever remain uncreated, that fashionable thing, a "Palestinian state," would merely whet, not sate, Arab and Muslim appetites, and is folly beyond belief.

No, Obama is right to seek those who are capable of "new thinking." But he'd better do it in foreign policy as well, and to select as National Security Adviser someone who clearly hasn't a clue about Islam, and whose only known views -- his criticism of Israel for its actions on the "West Bank," demonstrate just how little he knows about the context, historical, legal, and moral, of that part of the world, and furthermore, how uncomprehending he is of the triumphalism that is so important in Islam, so that if the Arabs were to be successful in maniuplating the Americans into actually helping them to rip the "West Bank" out of Israel's control, thereby condemning it to retreat to the 1949 Armistice lines (which is what the "1967 lines" were), in the end will only whet, not sate, Arab appetites, and be not only immoral (by throwing Israel to the wolves as a substitute for manfully coming to grips with the problem of Islam, the ideology of Islam), but also completely misguided, and -- to use that awful word for once -- counter-productive.

Out of Iraq, and out of Aghanistan -- not because Islam is not a world-wide threat, but because it is. And resources must be husbanded. And ruthless exploitation of the weaknesses of the enemy -- the Camp of Islam -- must be recognized, identified, and allowed to flourish not only without discouragement, but with our deliberate if oblique encouragement.

Hugh, I can summarize your excellent prescription for how to defeat Islam in three words: "Outsmart the bastards." Not only tactically, but strategically as well. Of course, to do this requires smart people, and this is where we have been wanting.

proud_infidel: Always appreciate an informed point of view from other parts of the world. Thank you for yours. A question for you if you don't mind. How strong is the Muslim element in India and how determined are all non-Muslims in your country to resist any Muslim demands? As a follow-up, is the present Indian government as timid as are Western governments to take on Islam directly and deny it its demands?

Not a timeline for withdrawal, but set a date when this war can succeed, and under what conditions this war can succeed,' Karzai told reporters...

This war could be stopped in Afghanistan at any time
but I am sure Karzai will like the conditions any more than the people of Dresden or Hiroshima.

But this war will not be finished as Afghanistan is just one battle in a much larger war, not only is it raging in Afghanistan, it is raging more or less every where from the forest covered islands of Indonesia, the sandy deserts of Sudan to the streets of Liverpool, in one form or another.

We see Karzai playing the west and trying to dictate the terms, the Indonesian president Declaring the Laskar Jihad non criminals, and getting millions in aid, we see the Merseyside Muslim Police Association, demanding the arrest of people for distributing legal leaflets.

It is getting to the point where we should say enough is enough, and we start dictating the terms

We owe muslims nothing, in fact they owe us, it high time we start calling in the debt

Hugh argues for a unified field theory of Islam. He's been doing this for some time now. He's right to do so.

Posted by: Wellington [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 26, 2008 9:59 PM

Although, this statement will surely not pass the PC filter, Karzai's head belongs on a pike, well televised, and with a proper authority providing the necessary background.

Wellington, that's good. It neatly encapsulates the problem at hand in a form that should resonate with Westerners.

Wellington, with just a little scratching of the surface, you will find that the India Gvernment s worse, considering what India has gone through

One glaring example was Congress Leader Ms Sonia Gandhi, who on several occasions brushed off suggestions that Godhra was premeditated, or that it may have been part of a larger conspiracy.

Which it was

Then there is Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who is reluctant to revive anti-terror legislations

The Indian Government has totaly whitewashed India's bloody history of muslim acts of genocide.

Thankfuly there are several Indians who have some courage

Among them Narendra Damodardas Modi who sums it up perfectly "Terrorism is worse than a war. A terrorist has no rules. A terrorist decides when, how, where and whom to kill. India has lost more people in terror attacks than in its wars"

What is sick is The United States revoked a visa for Modi , on the accusation that he was responsible for violations of religious freedom as per the International Religious Freedom Act of 1998.

He was again denied a visa to the United States in August of 2008 for his human and religious rights violations. The Coalition against Genocide (CAG) said that they have urged the state Department to put a lifetime ban on issuing US visa to Narendra Modi.

That Karzai would ask the question publicly is a good long term event. Even people who don't question Islam per se are becoming increasingly skeptical of Islamic societies in terms of capacity for civilization.

My barber, plumber, and electrician have all volunteered very positive statements (from a Jihadwatch point of view) in the past 12 months.

Good stuff . . .

I would ask him, How many churches of islam have been attacked and leveled? How many schools that teach islam have been closed or destroyed? How many teackers and preachers of the poison that is islam have been targeted?

His answer would probally be that magic number "invented" by islam itself.

ZERO.

In that is the answer to his question.

I'll predict that Modi will be the Prime Minister next time the BJP comes to power. I doubt it'll be next year, when Advani is their candidate, but this will be the last time he'll run. But 2 elections from now, I think the NDA/BJP will win, and Modi will be the person taking them forward.

I wouldn't be surprised if Indian Mohammedans at large are as cowed down as those in Gujarat under Modi.

President Hamid Karzai said on Wednesday - and demanded a timeline for its success.

Some nerve from our petulant Moslem "allies," demanding a solution to their problem. I'll give a timeline, Hamid: the day all Moslems walk away from their precious perverted belief system and quit Islam. And apologize for 1,389 years of misbehavior.

They are the problem.

* 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 *

It just takes a little thought, a little study.

The cause of all the bug-eyed corpses we see trapped under the thin ice holding us from breaking through to same fate won't let us see through. The thin ice has been made opaque by all the millions of tiny cracks by the millions of freeze-thaws we've gone through over the years.

So close to all the corpses, yet so far. Hypocrites can be so demanding when they're deluded, which is always.

Maybe the Hindus can see reality today, having been recently stunned.

-- from a posting above

The observation that "these fanatic Hindus [those who attack Christians and Christian missionaries] are emulating the Muhammadan jihadi model" is not only true, but leads to a further truth: that the Hindus who feel frustrated by the continued Muslim threat, one which their government downplays or ignores, or so often goes after those who are accused of "communalism" (a word used to describe the attitude of Hindus who insist on resisting Muslim aggression, which is a feature of daily life, and most Muslim attacks at the local level, against Hindus only, are never reported outside India) and, as a sort of reaction and recompense, attack Christians.

In the same way, the ferociy of the Spanish, as opposed to those in other nations, Inquisition, no doubt reflects the fact of Islam. That is, Christians had spent 500 years engaged in what is called the Reconquista, and this had its effect on them, those whose suspicions of Muslims well-versed in deception were transferred to the inoffensive and harmless Jews, who were, in that Inquisition, subject to treatment much harsher, one much more based on the idea of "race" -- a way of satisfying the wary that those who outwardly converted to Christianity would be assumed, so often, to be merely practicing the kind of deception that Muslims were long used to practicing (and of course Muslims had once ruled, and kept trying to regain power, while Jews in Spain had never ruled over Christians, and had no political ambitions, only the desire to be left largely free from persecution).

The so called "War on Terrorism" is more than a fraud, it is a painfully superficial attempt to shift the world's attention away from the true enemies of our civilisation and culture. By cynically refusing to identify those who would destroy our nations, our leaders have in fact, sided with the enemy.

The "War on Terrorism" diversion has been a failure. As readers of Jihad Watch are well aware, the enemy is Islam. As long as there remains and Islamic Ummah, the civilised world will suffer the unending threat of continuous and barbaric acts of terror.

Co-Existence has cost the lives of millions. Enough is enough.

To Wellington:
Sir, the stupidity of the fathers of the Indian constitution is, whitewashing history. they covered up the 14 centuries of mohammadan attack, pillage, rape and murder of the indian subcontinent. the british ruled india just a couple of centuries. the british during their rule did some bad stuff, but left behind a country with good infra structure. the mohammadan only raped the land. in history books today, the british are painted as villains. not a word about the mohammadans.
generally among the populace, hindus and christians mix freely. mixed marriages between christians and hindus is not unheard of. not with muslims though. not that they are bad people per se, but their cult. people always have the feeling that there is something cruel and inhuman in that cult.
currently, there is a resurgence of religious fundamentalism among people of this death cult. the man we employed a couple of years back to construct our house in my home town in south india, that fellow himself has joined an extremist group. our family we so shocked. we thought he is a decent mohammadan.
the Congress party needs the 20% plus muslim votes. BJP stirs hindu fundamentalism to get majority hindu votes. currently the BJP ruled states are experiencing persecution of Christians. why the hindu fanatics persecute the peaceful christians, is beyond me. christians wage of crusade with orphanages, hospitals, Mother Teresa sisters, schools, old age homes, etc. i wish the BJP extends a friendly hand to the christians.
please pray my friends.
