Nazareth: Merry Christmas, Infidels -- Allah has no Son

AllahHasNoSonBanner.jpg

As Iran's Thug-In-Chief prepares his "convert to Islam" Christmas message to Britain, Muslims in Nazareth are greeting pilgrims with their own brand of Christmas cheer.

"As Christmas Approaches, Muslims Erect ‘Allah Has No Son’ Banner in Nazareth," by Julie Stahl for CNS News, December 24 (thanks to James):

(CNSNews.com) – As Nazareth’s Christians prepare to celebrate Christmas, they are playing down the appearance of a confrontational Islamic banner that challenges an elemental Christian belief.

Journalists visiting the city saw two large banners--one in English, one in Arabic--hanging in the plaza in front of the Basilica of the Annunciation, with a verse from the Koran (112:1-4) contradicting the New Testament proclamation that Jesus is the “only begotten” of God.

“In the name of Allah, the most beneficent, the most merciful, Say (O Muhammad): He is Allah, (the) One and Only. Allah, the Eternal, the Absolute. He begetteth not, nor was begotten, and there is none like unto him,” the banner reads.

Nazareth Mayor Ramiz Jaraisy played down concerns that a banner effectively denying Jesus’ deity was provocative to Christians, although he did question its position, in front of Nazareth’s most prominent landmark.

“I don’t think that it’s provocative against anyone,” he said. “My point of view [is] that it’s not the right place to put it and it’s not the right way to do that.”

He can't say anything stronger. If he does, he could be killed. Over the centuries, dhimmi Christians learned to say that everything was fine -- or else.

But Jaraisy said he would not remove the banner because some Islamic fundamentalist groups were looking to provoke a confrontation in order to promote their cause. He did not want to provide them with that opportunity....

I have posted this before, but it is a good time to do it again....

Allah say's he has no son, while the God of the Bible not only say's he has a son, but that he (God), is proud of him (Son/Jesus).

Either this is two different gods, or the one God is confused...

islamists are correct that Allah has no son, he has slaves. Jesus is the son of God that we Christians chose to celebrate, Merry Christmass to all!

Reminds me of a spoiled teenager demanding attention, throwing temper tantrums when they do not get their way. I say when they let us put Christian banners in Mecca, we'll allow Islamic banners in Nazareth.

But then again stooping to their level is not much of a idea either.

Yestereve, on the BBC News on the Public Broadcasting System, there was a story about the Christmas celebration in Bethlehem. They showed Muslims merchants trying to make money off of the Christian tourists but no mention of how the Christian population of the town has been declining.

Mohametans are a majority in the West Bank. So there is no question of We allowing them to put up banners. It's their town now. But this does show how they respect other religions and do not defame or insult them.

This is FURTHER PROOF that It's all about Islam and NOT ARAB NATIONALISM( which is actually their Taquiah).

Amen. This banner and any similar proclamation have an unintended effect. They serve to point out that Allah is NOT the God of the Jews or the Christians. So much for the idea that we should all come together because we all worship the same God. We don't. Muslims keep pointing that out.

I wonder what they're doing in Bethlehem. I've heard that travel there is up for the first time in years. Palestinians must have decided they'd rather have tourist money.

"Allah" may be the One and Only, but the question is: the one and only what?
And if he "begetteth not" then how did he have three daughters?

Posted by: ebonystone [TypeKey Profile Page] at December 24, 2008 2:07 PM

Christians should put up a banner in Mecca or outside Al Aqsa saying:

"Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist—he denies the Father and the Son. 23No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also." (1John 2:22-23)

What would happen if Christians did this? or could do this? Muslims would go on holy war for sure.

I wonder what would happen if someone threw a shoe at the sign and actually hit the word ALLAH.
Or even worse, smeared the shoe with bacon strip grease and then hurled it at the sign.

My guess is that the "Tolerant,Peaceful,Merciful "Rent-A-Mob" yahoos that follow islam would quickly saw off your head with a dull knife as they read Quranic verses and praise Muhammad and Allah.

There are over 5 Billion non-Muslims on Earth that are getting a bit fed-up with the denial and deafening silence by Muslims when theirown followers slaughter God's children as a favour to Allah.
Basically , 16.6% of earth population claims to have only about 1% of its followers that Misunderstand the true Peaceful message of love and tolerance....but ever since 9/11/01 there have been 12'455 acts of Terrorism by self-professed Muslims that feel all the other Muslims Misunderstand the true "Jihad" orders from Muhammad.

Either their overt silence to condemn the actual Muslim terrorists is a form of Conscent to support their actions, or , the ones in denial are far too stupid to connect the dots and see that they themselves might one day feel that Double-edged sword smite their necks.

Posted by: ala-sux [TypeKey Profile Page] at December 24, 2008 3:49 PM

From Islamic scripture (Sirat, Al-Tabari):
Allah is an Arabian moongod worshipped for 5-9 generations before Muhammad entered the stage. For 8 years, Muhammad reviled the Meccans, their gods and their religion, as reflected in the Meccan suras of the Quran.

Only when the Meccans bribed Mo with money, women and power (note the earthly aspect of this!) did he accept to worship Allah and the other idols of the Kaaba. Much later, in AH 6, did Mo accept to worship only one god, Allah.

[End scripture references]

That does not, in any way (history, theology, mentality, love for humans) make Allah the same as the Judeo-Christian God - not by a long shot.

And a false claim to be God will surely land you somewhere quite, ehm, unpleasent.

I am reading this banner. Let us, for the sake of argument assume this is the one true God and not Allah.

"He begetteth not" is not true according to our
Bible.

"...nor nor was (He) begotten, and there is none like unto Him....”

This is true. Isn't it?

A letter from Arius to the Arian Eusebius of Nicomedia succinctly states the core beliefs of the Arians:

Hi Wild Jew --

Here is an xcerpt from the link that I provided in my previous post that I think best answers your question:

"The Hebrew Scriptures clearly teach that God has a begotten Son. The Old Testament reference can be found in Psalm 2:6-7, which states:

“Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. (7) I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.”
Though the Muslims are taught that this passage refers to King David, David was begotten of Jesse. Ruth 4:22 states, “And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.” In Psalm 2:7, the Hebrew word yalad is used, Strong’s 3205. This word refers to an actual begetting, bearing, birthing and siring. Therefore, this passage clearly teaches that the God of the Bible has an actual begotten Son. As fulfilled in the New Testament, Luke 1:30-32, 34-35 declares that He was born of a virgin:

“And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. (31) And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. (32) He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David…(34) Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? (35) And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”

Funny thing is, actually, that the Quran never, ever mentions Allah in its (somewhat vulgar) paradise. Not once.

Interestingly, Allah _is_ depicted somewhere else, stoking the fires with the bodies of the 'infidels'.

Fortunate that better religions exist.

Posted by: Henrik [TypeKey Profile Page] at December 24, 2008 4:33 PM

There is a passage of the Qur'an in which Christians AND Jews are sneered at by the Muslims...why? - because we (Christians *and* Jews) believe and confess that we are the 'children' of a loving Father God.

The Muslims think this means 1. that we think *we* are literally sons (like Hercules) of the divine, that we think *we* are divine

(which is nonsensical - all the Muslims do when they make this argument, is expose their own stupidity and inability [or wilful refusal] to comprehend metaphor and analogy)

and they also think that this claim (which, in fact, ordinary individual Christians and Jews do not make, namely, the claim to be divine, or to be demigods)

can be refuted by pointing to the sufferings that we experience (a great deal of which, Muslims have themselves deliberately inflicted upon us, in the mistaken belief that their ability to hurt us physically will 'prove' them to be right, and us to be wrong).

All that second argument shows, is that Muslims do not or will not comprehend either of the Biblical doctrines concerning suffering - first, that there is such a thing as innocent suffering, the undeserved suffering of a righteous person, and second, that those whom YHWH loves, he disciplines (this is taught in both the TaNaKh and in the Christian scriptures). That is - being a child of G-d does not mean that you get to behave like a little monster who can do absolutely anything, no matter how awful, and still be praised and flattered and stroked.

The Muslim rejection of the relational God of the Christians - whom Christians are convinced is identical with the relentlessly loving, covenant-making-and-keeping God of the Jews - is all of a piece with their pathological insistence instead upon a horrible 'god' that brooks no 'rivals' because it is that thing which Nietzsche called the 'Will to Power' set up as an idol.

They *hate* us (we the Jews and the Christians) because we have a God who doesn't make us grovel like slaves, but causes us to stand up as free people - 'be not afraid' 'gird thy loins like a man'; because so many of us have been so infuriatingly confident of His love, even when the Muslims stood in front of us with the scimitar snarling and spitting at us.

From above: 'and there is none like unto him,”

This is very true. When God made Allah he realized he made a mistake and threw away the mold.

But Allah was already created and began challenging God for supremacy. This got on God's nerves so he cast Allah to the Earthly underground, called Qlipoth along with a bunch of his cronies called demons and Jinn.

But Allah escaped and set up an office at a place called Ka'aba at Mecca.

There he located a local flim flam artist named Mohammad...They formed a partnership. Allah gave Mohammad anything he wanted, and Mohammad spread the supremacy of Allah to the natives. If Allah could not get supremacy over God, he could get it over these simple desert dwellers.

He and Mohammad co-authored a book called The Quran, which glorifies the supremacy of Allah, and his organ...Islam.

Those who submit to Allah's organ, are called Muslims, or more correctly Mohammadans.

So there really are 'none like unto him'. It's a good thing God threw away the mold or we might have numerous Allah's running around, all claiming to be supreme....

One Allah is already too many....

"But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.

As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed."

Happy Christmas everyone.

And happy Hanukkah to all Jews who are steadfastly lighting lamps, one by one by one, and will continue to do so until the 29th.

The way I look at it - and I sat down and re-read the Books of the Maccabees just the other day, it is a very good book for discouraged and weary Resisters of Jihad and Sharia to read - if there had been no Hanukkah, that is, if there had been no Jews willing to face death and FIGHT to preserve themselves and their faith in their traditional land, Antiochus could quite conceivably have annihilated the Jewish faith in situ. The persecution and oppression and torturings and desecration inflicted by Antiochus and co. were horrendous...nearly as bad as what would, much later, be inflicted by the Muslim invaders and occupiers of eretz Israel...

Had the Maccabees not arisen and fought like lions, there would have been no Joseph and no Mary and no Yeshua and no Temple for Yeshua to visit whether as infant, or twelve-year-old bar mitzvah, or as adult teacher and preacher.

Indeed, there's a passage in John's Gospel, framing the great 'I am' saying about 'The Light of the World', that takes place in winter, and seems to refer to the festival that is, today, known as Hanukkah.

Merry Christmas Robert - and to everyone here to whom it applies, even if theirs may not be tomorrow.

Posted by: Family Values [TypeKey Profile Page] at December 24, 2008 10:20 PM

Here in Australia it is already midday on Christmas Day.

We have been to the Christmas morning service - at which my husband and eldest daughter sang the beautiful song 'Mary Did You Know?' as a duet during the Communion - and we have opened our gifts, and sung 'Happy Birthday Jesus' (yes, with candles on a birthday cake), and now we are all relaxing together and enjoying a quiet family day before going over to my husband's parents' place for Christmas dinner.

Such is the joyful freedom that, for now, in this place, at this time, I enjoy.

But I well know that in places like Persia and northern Nigeria and Egypt and Pakistan and Iraq, and, well, everywhere else in the Islamosphere, Christians will be celebrating the birth of Jesus...in the subdued fashion permitted to them under the hideous Rules for Dhimmis, but knowing that at any moment, anyway, for no reason at all except the diabolical prompting of the lust for violence and the Will to Dominate and Hurt other people, a murderous howling mob of Mohammedans may burst in upon them, bent upon rape, theft, murder and ruin.

(At this time, let the persecuted dhimmi Christians represent all those non-Muslims who are subjected by Islam to perpetual, grinding humiliation, degradation, and terrible fear).

As we western Christians celebrate, let us consider a gift to the cause of spiritual freedom: in the shape of a Christmas donation to bodies such as the Barnabas Fund, which support the persecuted; or to Fr Zakaria Botros' 'Life TV', which aims right at the dark heart of Islam in the hope of expelling the demons and turning zombies back into living human beings; or to the educating work of Mr Spencer, right here, that is, by a donation to jihadwatch. I believe all such gifts would be regarded joyfully by the Lord Yeshua as gifts to himself.

Merry Christmas everyone! I'm skipping all the bad news today and tomorrow, my Christmas gift to myself, but I had to check in here just to see what the savages are up to and bask in the warmth of their tolerance and goodwill. I expected holiday greetings from the islamic netherworld and sure enough, here they are! Can't you just imagine what they would do if a similar banner was hung across a mosque, mocking their pagan celebration of Eid?

If they could be killed with kindness, we wouldn't have an "islamic" problem because there would be no muslims. Our courageous and sage leaders have certainly all but knocked themselves out going that route and the jihad only intensifies. When Obama takes office, I guess we will officially surrender to avoid any hurt feelings, outrage, or other emotional distress that muslims might experience as a result of our attempts to defend ourselves.

Christmas is a time for joy, love, hope, and peace, precious gifts from our Savior that muslims will never receive. I almost pity them at Christmastime, almost. While they seethe and wallow in their perpetual hate, rage, and resentment, I shall celebrate the birth of Jesus and pray for the death of their malevolent cult.

Muslims would never say "Merry Christmas" not on radio, television or newspapers. Muslims are the most mean spirited animals when it comes to non Muslim holiday.

It is surprising to me that the Muslim attack on US happened on 911 and not on December 24th (highly traveled day) - they don't care about non Muslim holidays - they hate non Muslims holidays and even show their anger obviously with no diplomacy, political correctness or shame.

Over 100-Million Muslim losers attacked 2-million people Israel (back in 1973) on Israel's most sacred holiday, Yum Kippur. They were shouting "Allahu Akbar" but Allah was crushed when God helped Israel crush Islam and their Allah.

This is when their hate for Israel and the Jews went exponentially thru the roof.

Good point Eamonn...

It is a "moderate" sunni muslim sign... Which obviously is insulting to the Christians of that church. Christians who are probably descendants of Armenians. They read and speak Aramaic, the language of Issa. But I AM thankful they're not taking up arms against the provocation. It would only beget rioting and murder from the so-called "peace-loving" muslims. That is the ultimate in cheek-turning from the Christians of Bethlehem. They ARE secure in their knowledge of God and don't have to prove themselves to anyone, "moderate" muslims included.

And the philistines call themselves "moderate..." Hmmm, I guess that doesn't equate with tolerant either...
