Barbaric antisemitism in Chicago. "Officials say they don't know if there's a link between the incident and increased violence in the Middle East." Gee, that's a tough one...
"Molotov cocktail thrown at Chicago synagogue," from the Associated Press, December 30 (thanks to all who sent this in):
A bottle of flammable liquid was hurled at one of Chicago's oldest synagogues, catching fire but not causing major damage. No one was injured in the incident early Monday at Temple Sholom of Chicago.
Chicago police and the Chicago fire department are investigating the arson as a hate crime. No one was in custody Monday....
Officials say they don't know if there's a link between the incident and increased violence in the Middle East....

more stupidity of our officals. Anyone who knows the score of things going on knows that Islam is just using the "youth" of Islam in the way it was intended to be.

Another sign of the vicious barbarians of Islam. Nothing new. The sad part is MSM and leaders have summarily and with great injustice to people have maintained that Islam is peace.
Mohammedans do what they do we know that, but those who are supposed to uphold defend our freedoms and give an honest analysis of what is happening have failed in their duties.

They should set up survielance cameras around their synagogue and could identify those islamists, andperhaps the police would be able to connect the dots.

Don't panic. It was only the work of a disgruntled protester or malcontent.
Of course that is sarcasm.
The time is coming when most will consider Israel the cancer of the world and by it's destruction the worlds woes will end.
Little do they know that when they surround the nation to destroy it, they themselves will be destroyed.

I think the ordinary person in the west is starting to doubt the whole "Religion of Peace" BS. If so the monsters will have less support for their hypocrisy.
I am hopeful that we will as civilized peoples increasingly reject the propaganda from the rocket launching terrorists in Gaza and elsewhere.

Hmmm, and if the situation were reversed, and it was a mosque that was fire-bombed...let's see...CAIR would've been on the scene with CNN and every major network telling us how wrong and intolerant we are of Islam. The irony is so biting.

Being more like Europe is a total package.
Take France as an example. Where torching 1,100 auto/bus... is a "tradition", something is very very wrong. Those youts. Can't wait for them to be all grown up.

Terrible that Chicago is doing this. Abraham Lincoln would be turning in his grave at what has become of the Windy City.

Honestly, it’s always people like that whom go around attempting to use the USA very own freedoms to undermine and take away the freedoms of OTHERS in USA away. So, that they can go around using the Koran claiming that they are More “superior” race (yep it uses the word superior about it) that Non-muslims whom are their “servants” (yep it uses the word servants about it; whom are to have no rights, no freedoms, no land, no homes, no possessions.
Oh, but here’s one more—According to the Koran–the Non-muslims because they are NON-muslims are required to pay a tax anytime the muslims require it to keep the Non-muslims from being killed. Also, to keep the muslims living in the “lifestyle” that they want to be “accustomed” to live in at the expense of all NON-muslims in USA and in the world.
For those whom in America have yet to realize it—the SHARIA LAW movement is a communist/facist/socialist/marxist movement—looking to create another holocaust–Only this “time” it won’t be just the jews it would be any Non-muslim in existence.
In other words “same” hitler terroist horse, just another “brand” name label.
How many people still don’t know whaaat? the ACLU says about USA –that American’s won’t ‘knowingly” accept Socialism; but “disguised” as “liberalism” Americans will accept every fragment of the Socialist agenda and one day wake up in a Socialist nation and “wonder how” it all happened to them.
don’t believe it?? here’s the quote from one of the founders of ACLU Norman Thomas–Americans will never knowingly accept Socialism;but under liberalism Americans will accept every fragment and one day wake up in a Socialist nation and wonder how it all happened. unquote.
What we need to wonder is how the DEMS can think they can count on American’s being as “stupid” as the ACLU and DEMS think Americans are so they can further their socialistic/communistic/marxist/facist agenda.
How many people have yet to realize that the so-called “fairness doctrine” was deliberately mislabeled as such because it is SHARIA LAW and they hoped Americans would be too stupid to look or research further than the title before blindly voting on something. Hoping no one would notice it says–it’s punishible by death to anyone whom claims the rapes, murders and terrorist activities of muslim/islam/sharia law are “bad”.
Whom was it who said—Tolerance only becomes wrong and EVIL when given and applied to criminals

The other day we read how these people are attempting to justify their warped racist sharia law by actually stating that Americans whom protest against abortion are to be classified as “christian terrorists”.
the unmitigated gall and warped sense of mentality that is subscribed to this line of thinking is unfathomable.
Since when would anyone with half a brain have a hard time comprehending that “seeking to save the more Frail and helpless lives from being destroyed” hardly classifies anyone as “terrorist” whether christian or non-christian.
The “same way” these people attempt to consider it okay for the KORAN to claim that muslims are “superior” (yep it uses the word superior about it) race to non-muslims whom are “servants (yep it uses word servant about it) and that since non-muslims are classfied as “servants’ therefore they are to have NO home, No land, NO freedom, NO money, NO possesions and the non-muslims life can be killed with NO prosecution to the Muslim for having committed the killing of the non-muslim.
Also, they think it’s OKAY for the Koran to say that at a time “deemed appropriate” to the muslim the muslims are commanded to Jihad to forceably take away NON-muslims, homes, land, possessions and money–even though the NON-muslims have worked hard for every penny and that NON-muslims are to be stripped of all possessions for the simple fact they are NON-Muslims. This is their spread the wealth campaign.
how many people don’t know that the term spread the wealth was used thru-out history by communist/marxist/socialist/facists.
Then these people go around claiming because “some” people are smart enough to see thru these sharia law henious bantor and call it the racist bantor that sharia law “really” are—the sharia law people attempt to claim anyone whom doesn’t agree with them is “racist’.
SHARIA LAW is a marxist, communist/socialist/facist movement people, you cannot “secularize” it to make it generic and think it’s “OKAY”.
Anyone with some reasonable amount of intelligience already knows that Socialism/communism/facism/marxism is “not and okay” thing.
In addition, should the USA allow themselves to be bamboozled into accepting SHARIA LAW –it means forced female gen. mutilation will be the “norm” for the USA why??? because it’s SHARIA LAW and they condone it.
Talk about a holocaust of a different variety of people.
The United Nations already voted to accept that SHARIA LAW and 24 hours later 30 christians were kicked out of land, property, home and possesions and money why??? Because they are NON-muslims and as a result of USA refusing to tie our exit to political progress Pakistan is NOW SHARIA LAW country and NON-muslims are classified as “servants’ whom are to be destitute.
So, we must face the fact they ‘really” do hate US and it’s no longer safe to travel.
WE THE PEOPLE need to make it LEGALLY and LEGISLATIVELY clear to WASH DC that they are to protect our flag, our allegience, and our seal iron-clad and that WE THE PEOPLE will indeed have LONG, LONG memories should even “one” legislator attempt to “shirk” their responsibility to protect our freedoms.

Any jihadwatcher here who lives near a synagogue, or passes one in their daily round, should be on the lookout for slinking, sneaking jihadists.
For example: Aussies who live in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, or in certain suburbs of Melbourne, should make sure that their daily walking of their dog, or their daily jog, casually loops past the local synagogue or jewish centre or Hebrew school or Jewish-run cafe, and as they do, they should have their 'something's not quite right' antennae on high alert.
Were I still living where I was in the 1990s-2003, in a suburb that contained a synagogue, I would be cruising past every single day, casually keeping watch. (I'd be keeping an eye on the local church and churchyard, too - all those stone crosses and statues).
There is, as it happens, neither mosque nor synagogue anywhere within reasonable walking distance of where I currently live, so I myself cannot put into practice my own advice.
Anyway: right now, the IAF in Gaza is taking care of business: systematically blowing up munitions dumps/ arsenals/ military command centres/ jihad recruiting centres, aka mosques.
This means that a percentage of Mohammedans, the world over, will be hopping mad and looking to take 'revenge'; and they will be looking for 'soft' targets. Not synagogues in Israel, one suspects, but synagogues in other places perhaps deemed less well guarded.

See, this is why America is cool: we call a Molotov a Molotov. Brits, otoh, call them "fireworks," as in "fireworks are being thrown at the Swedish police station and the Israeli Embassy in London." Apartment/flat, cigarette/fag, Molotov/fireworks. Yeah, our way is better.
Seriously, though, that is very sad. Illinois is a very weird place in terms of the Jewish community and the Judeophoic community. Chicago politics have not helped in favor of our side. I'm impressed that the AP reported it, honestly.
R_not, never click on an AP or Reuters link anyway. They get money from their advertisers when you do it. I make a concerted effort to not visit news sources which I feel have betrayed me and to get my news from blogs, and if from the MSM, Fox News and the Washington Times.

Does anyone here thing our government is truly aware of the extent that America is being subjected to Sharia law? How it's creeping into our society? Do you even think they are aware of what Islam truly represents? SassyFrassy is right on, "we the people" MUST stand up and let our voices be heard and insist they pay attention. Look at AIG. This has been brought to their attention and they have done nothing about it, as far as I can tell. Why is our Treasury Department holding siminars regarding Sharia based finance tenents? Thank you SassyFrassy, it never occured to me the Fairness Doctrine was mislabled, but it makes sense. You are right, too many people never look past the immediate. I have to laugh when I hear "but we still have the internet and salitite radiio". What makes us think that won't be blocked too. I worry that our President-elect is not truly aware of what is actually happening, or even worse, that he even cares. The "progressives" are too worried about their special interest groups and pleasing them, ACLU etc... Why do you think the UN would not support us when going in to Iraq? There had been resolution after resolution and nothing had been resolved. Even Saddam said he kept up the pretense of WMDs because he was afraid of Iran. The UN wouldn't support us because too many of the countries in the UN have too large of a Muslim influence. No one is saying that (let's not offend), but take a look.

I knew a few years ago what was beginning to happen with regards to all things Islamic, e.g. anti-semitism, sharia law etc. As a Christian I and fellow believers were frequently updated through persecuted christian magazines etc. about the escalation of violence, murder, persecution, and church burning in Islamic countries. I used to live in London but started to feel uneasy there. Then I heard bad things were starting to happen in France to Jewish people and then just after 9/11 I moved outside London to a more rural area where I felt much safer. I now live in North Wales. I think in the near future it will not be very easy to be a christian or a jew in the UK anymore.

Carole
you're in Wales?
Check out David Davies, who represents the seat of Monmouth. He's said some sensible things about Islam. Find out if there are others like him, in Wales.
Don't think about retreating and retreating; think about retreating only in order to gather forces and regroup...and then advance back out. You will have to stop running, and turn at bay, sometime.
Remember the legends of Arthur.
Remember Alfred, and the Isle of Athelney.
Here's a thought, for the Easter vacation, and then for the summer.
Go on pilgrimage. Go to Iona, to Cader Idris, to Carnarvon; to Glastonbury and Stonehenge and Our Lady of Walsingham and Stratford on Avon (Shakespeare's grave) and Canterbury and Athelney. If you have time, go north to Arthur's Seat at Edinburgh.
And if you are a Christian, at each place call down a blessing on Britain, on the three Kingdoms: Wales, Scotland and England. Pray for the Defeat of the Jihad and for the breaking of the chains of Islam.
