Israel begins ground offensive, Reuters roots for Hamas

And Reuters reports on the destruction of a mosque in which women and children were praying with no mention (of course) of Hamas' practice of using civilians as human shields, and only scant and skeptical reference to their practice of hiding weapons and munitions in mosques. "Israel hits Gaza from land, sea and air," by Nidal al-Mughrabi for Reuters, January 3 (thanks to Michael):

GAZA (Reuters) - Israeli forces hit the Gaza Strip from land, sea and air on Saturday, stepping up their offensive against Hamas in the Palestinian enclave as tanks and troops waited on the border for a possible ground offensive.

In the bloodiest incident of the day, an air strike on a mosque killed 11 Palestinian civilians, including children, and wounded dozens as they prayed, Hamas officials said.

Hamas kept up its rocket attacks on southern Israel in defiance of international calls for it to halt such actions.

As the Israeli offensive entered its second week, prospects of a ceasefire any time soon looked dim.

"I hope the results of this operation will bring about quiet in the long term. The moment they fire, we will respond with great force," Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said on Israeli TV.

"It could be that several operations will be needed in this regard."

Witnesses said the air strike on the mosque in the town of Beit Lahiya took place as people prayed inside. At least 11 civilians were killed and 50 wounded, Hamas and medical officials said.

Rescuers pulled people from the debris and the bodies of victims lay in pools of blood, the witnesses said.

An Israeli military spokesman had no immediate comment. Israel has targeted mosques previously saying that Hamas had used them as command posts and fire bases....

The whitewashing by the media is so transparent - and so disgusting.

Another example of the media whitewashing is this breaking story. Those darn "pirates" are so menacing.
------------------------------------

COPENHAGEN, Denmark – Denmark says it is keeping five suspected pirates in custody while it explores legal action after an attack on a Netherlands Antilles-registered freight ship off the coast of Somalia.

Thomas Winkler, head of legal services at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, says a request has been sent to Dutch authorities and that the men will be held until Denmark knows where they will be prosecuted.

The Danish navy caught the suspected pirates in the Gulf of Aden on Friday after receiving a distress call from the freighter.

The Danes intercepted and sank the vessel after the freight ship crew set it on fire with a distress signal rocket, forcing the suspected pirates into the water.

Winkler said Saturday the suspected pirates were on the Danish frigate Absalon.

Reuters? The outfit who has made famous the term "Reuterized" among Photoshop fans?

I wonder how many folks have caught the mention in the Reuters article about Hamas not ceasing to fire rockets into Israel, despite everything? Few, I'm willing to bet, think that has anything to do with - well, anything.

I have an Israeli & American flag on my desk in my home office, and I also have a bumper sticker on my car that states:

"I Stand For Israel"

Everyone who supports Israel might want to do the same. These items are not expensive, and they are a wonderful way to support our beloved Israel. I am sad to say that I have never seen a bumper sticker like mine during my travels, so please you guys, put one on your car and lend your support as well; or in any outward way that you are moved to do.

Support Israel -- now more than ever!!!!!

Reuters is even worse than AP. Its bias is so transparent often times that I consider it the Keith Olbermann of news services.

Gazan Mohammadans are probably starting to believe that Allah has abandoned them to advancing apes and pigs...

After all, isn't Allah supposed to protect his Mohammadan slaves?

Well never fear Gazans, Allah has not abandoned you. He has just been busy with room additions to Paradise...

The poor innocent adult Mohammadans, who have been killed are already in Paradise. But Paradise is an adults only entertainment center not suitable for children, so YHVH took charge of the children.

Now that Allah is not caught up on his construction work, he can put more time into protecting Gazans. All survivors will survive.
Allah wills it...

"Hamas kept up its rocket attacks on southern Israel in defiance of international calls for it to halt such actions."

At least Reuters admitted that much.

As for the mosque, any report of secondary explosions, as there have been from some of the other mosques?
And of the women killed, how many were among the "many thousands" of women in the earlier article, who were donning bomb-vests in preparation to kill Israelis?

Speaking of Hamas, there's a one-hour news special report, "Escape From Hamas", tonight on the FOX News channel starting at 10 pm Eastern time. It's an inside look at Hamas from the son of one of its founding leaders who managed to escape and converted to Christianity. (You know what that means.)

You can view the Israeli (and Arab) TV broadcasts online these days. (If you watch Al Jazeera, keep a pail next to you)

A highly recommended tool for monitoring the situation;

Another;

Mainstream media. Traitors the whole lot of them.

Wait a minute . . . Did you say, "ground offensive"? Is this it?? The much anticipated frontal assault, no-quarter, coup against HAMAS??

If so, may it be decisive! It surely must, sooner or later--even HAMAS seems to think so!

Keep reporting the truth, Robert. There IS a reason why major newspapers are failing, and Leftist news outlets are suffering declining viewerships:

They obfucscate the truth.

No one that I know, and they number in the hundreds beleive that Muslims don't know what they're doing, and don't believe for a second that Islam is a peaceful religion. We all know they're mandated to deceive and wage jihad in order to bring everyone under the House of Peace.

This has only been possible because of the Internet. Had we had to rely on major news outlets we would not have known what Islam is, and what its aims are.

Thank god or whatever for Jihad Watch and the host of other websites that risk everything to expose this totalitarian ideology for what it is. Thank YOU, Mr. Spencer for your diligence.

"In the bloodiest incident of the day, an air strike on a mosque killed 11 Palestinian civilians, including children, and wounded dozens as they prayed, Hamas officials said."

Are we sure it was the Israeli strike that killed the civilians and not the secondary explosions caused when Israel hit the munitions depot?

i just hope the IDF is fully unleashed to take out these bloodsuckers.
these crybabies, they say nothing while their brothers kill innocents...

Arabs and their like understand nothing but the sword so give it them they will get the message.

Couldn't they simply re-hire the guys who doctored the photos during the Lebanon war 2 years ago? Looks like they need him

All the Mosques should be destroyed, warnings should be given then they should be obliterated. Only when they see that Allah isn't going to come down on a flaming chariot will they desist.

Stories like this make me that much more grateful for JW, Pam Gellar, Debbie Schlussel, Weasel Zippers, Michelle Malkin, and Sammy Benoit. You guys are the best.

God, I hate the MSM. Between them and IU, if it weren't for you guys I would swear that I'm the only sane person in the Anglophone world, or at least the only one who cares about the truth more than some sicko agenda.

The mosques are not holy and peaceful places.

They are used by islamic hardliners as meeting places, as centers for indoctrination and even as weapons and ammunition depots.

Every informed person knows that mosques are hornets' nests.

Also every person who is not a fool (we are in 2009) knows that when Moslems speak about "praying" and being "pious" those very words have a different meaning than in Buddhism, Christianity or Hinduism.

Who is Reuters trying to fool?

I know a girl who is in the Israeli army. I left her something on her msn the other day saying that I hope she will be alright and that they will kick hamas' ass!

So my thoughts will go out to her and her fellow soldiers, that I hope they will survive and be able to finally live in peace......

Oh the real nasty part about this is that Guess whaat Obama's church just re-printed the "Hama's manifesto".

Posted by: SassyFrassy [TypeKey Profile Page] at January 4, 2009 2:37 AM

I don't believe that part about women being killed in the mosque. Since when are they allowed in?

In Islam, women are like mules that should be left outside. Like dogs and pigs they nullify the prayers of their male "superiors".

More lies from Hamas and their evil supporters.
