I wonder if MSM will cover these. Here in DC they covered the pro Islamic Jihadi rallies. It was sickening.

To call these "pro-Israel" rallies is not quite accurate. These are rallies to express support for Israel, and for all those who, menaced by those intent on Jihad, are determined to resist.

My actual headline and body copy:
Anti-jihad, pro-Israel rallies nationwide!Turn out to show your support for sanity and your resistance to the jihad and Islamic supremacism against Israel and wherever they are found.
Obviously you overlooked the italicized sections.

If only more Americans could understand clearly that this is not just about Israel; the only true democracy in the Middle East, but it is about all western societies that are confronting this clash of ideologies.
The only clear difference is that the tiny little country of Israel is surrounded by,and on the frontlines of a never ending political and religious firestorm that respects no one but Islam.

Yes, I was unvigilant in my reading. Sorry. I'd like to write "it won't happen again" but since I know that at some point, it may well, I'd best refrain.

I wish they announced the Denver protest before the day of the event...

I'm with Seth on this.
I attended the pro Israeli counter protest in Chicago this past Friday. I got the details (times, locations and such) from the Chicago Arab media rather than any Jewish/Israeli/anti-jihad web site or organization.
Can't fight the jihad at the street level if you don't know where or when these actions are taking place.
Is there an anti jihad group that posts these events?
Is there an anti jihad group that puts bodies in the streets?

Hey,
I recently searched for some sites that are central hubs for information about anti jihad protests... my searches didn't reveal any such sites. So, being a web developer myself, I have decided to make one.
I purchased the domain protestjihad.com, should have something up soon

My daughter walked into a pro Hamas demonstration while waiting for maw and paw to go sightseeing in the Plaza in Kansas City. The poor unfortunate was wearing a handmade Magen David, given to her by some Israeli friends and jewelry makers at the Renfaire....She was scared for her life, literally, when the peaceful sons and daughters and the sycophants of the prophet saw it hanging from her neck. Too bad KC isn't in this list, Julia would gladly go. It's tough feeling like you're all alone in a sea of hate.

Oh dear. Toronto, which has not been doing itself particularly proud on this subject, is not listed.
I assure you: the fact that our provincial premier here took over a month to decide that "there is one law for all citizens of Ontario" in response to a request for Sharia law to be administered through family courts, doesn't mean anything. Anything at all.

Anyone know of pro-Israel rallies in Western Europe? Specifically Switzerland...where banners at a recent pro-Palestinian rally equated Israel with Nazi Germany.

I live an hour from Los Angeles, so look for me, I'm the one shooting "Go Israel!!!" the loudest!
I "STAND IN SUPPORT OF ISRAEL'S RIGHT TO DEFEND ITSELF AGAINST HAMAS"....of course I do, so should you!!!

Oops..."shouting"...not shooting. Must be a subconscious thing, LOL!

Hey, futureisbright, you could make some money on your domain name if you sold some t-shirts, mugs, bumper stickers, etc. I'd buy a couple at least.

thats a good idea.
What other things could we have on there?
To start... I'm just going to get a list of protests and a form to post details of new protests.
I think an about page would be good... to explain why we need to stand up against jihad and draw attention to the islamicic agenda

I am a tepid supporter of Israel. I am by no means thrilled with Israel's policies, but I recognize a right to defense. Israel does a terrible job with PR.
That said, why is DC always excluded?

There is a Washington, D.C. rally on Wednesday. Here is the link.

By the way. I heard something very scary. Remember in London in 2003 when almost one million people demonstrated against the Iraq War. Well I heard they are planning an anti-Israel protest for Saturday January, 10 and they hope to bring just as many people.

What is going on?
There is an "Emergency Picket at the Chicago Israeli Consulate" for Tuesday, January 6 - Noon.
It's being sponsored by the Coalition for Justice in Palestine (this Coalition consists of the Palestinian, Arab, Muslim, and Arab Church groups that organized the mass protest on Friday, Jan. 2, 2009); International Solidarity Movement-Chicago (ISM), International Socialist Organization, ANSWER, Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP), Chicago Coalition Against War and Racism (CCAWR), Gay Liberation Network.
Gay Liberation network? How stupid are these people?
I got that from the chicagoindymedia site.
I have not been able to find anything regarding any anti-jihad or pro Israel counter demonstration.
(shrug) Oh well...

rubicon
you know where and when the anti-Israel pro-Jihad rally is going to be on.
Do you have two or three people, or more, friends, who share your views re the need to resist Jihad?
If so: screw up your courage; dress in your best, bring your pet dog if you have one (especially if it's black - the really traditional Muslims think black dogs are the devil); also bring mobile phone and notebook.
Arrive at the location at morning tea time, well ahead of the time scheduled for the hate fest; get yourself some takeaway coffee, and wait and watch.
If you're Christian or Jewish, bring your prayer book and occupy the time while the enemy gathers, by walking around the block in silence; don't pray 'against' the jihadi curses or waste energy getting mad, instead, focus on invoking blessings - on the consul and his/ her staff, on the neighbourhood, on the police, on Israel and the IDF. Pray that the christian and Jewish dhimmi groups involved will have their eyes opened to their folly and the betrayal that they are perpetrating.
Then, when the hate fest starts, stay together in your little group and record the whole thing, discreetly - get as many shots of faces as you can, especially any named speakers., note down names in your notebook. Have a go at counting exactly how many people are present.
Fun exercise: if you're there, you see who's there, you hear what's said, you know how many, then you can compare any MSM (TV, newspaper, radio) coverage of the demo, with what you yourself saw.
When you're done, send your report in to Mr Spencer, or to Pam at AtlasShrugs, or to Phyllis Chesler, or all three.
Does anybody else have any creative suggestions for 'rubicon'?

The size of the crowd at the Dag Hammarskjold Plaza rally in NYC today was pitiably small (and was in large part made up of bussed-in yeshiva students). Sad.
This seems mostly to have been a function of the word not getting out (folks I spoke with complained about not being able to find info on rallies, regardless of whether they searched the web, or looked to traditional sources). I also heard complaints, from those who were there, about little advance notice .
On the bright side, the local media did cover it (decently). Assemblyman Dov Hikind spoke eloquently at this rally, as well as for on-camera interviews for smaller media afterward.
I hope to see a lot more bodies at tomorrow's rally by the Israeli consulate.

Sooner or later, the protesting muslim terrorists in the US will provoke a civil war against good American citizens.
I hope the Departmenty of Homeland Security is monitoring this blog and taking notice.
The muslims are like wild animals, you will never know when they will attack and kill.
These thousands of protesting terrorists are becomming more and more violent everyday. Sonner or later they will explode and satisfy their thirst for blood.

They'll do it in Europe and Canada first. The Muslims have the numbers there and the native populations don't have enough young people to fight them off, plus their governments are just so wussy. You know who they'll call on when that happens. Then we won't let it happen here.

Are there any Pro Israel marches going on in London?
If there are I'd love to know as I'd definitely join one!

Richard the Lionheart
I found this on another thread:
For all you Brits: U.K. rally for Israel:
London, England
Date: Sunday, January 11, 2009
Time: 10:30am - 12:00pm
Location:
TRAFALGAR SQUARE City/Town: London, United Kingdom

Trafalgar Square - what a great location!
Richard: wear blue and white for Israel. And remember Hugh's ideas as to what may be put on one's protest placards:

Today's NYC rally across from the Israeli consulate was much, much larger than yesterday; wonderfully so.
And, it came with a surprise sighting of of our very own Robert Spencer! Who graciously "posed" for me to get a good shot of him as he was leaving the scene, which I, a non-amateur photograph, shot slightly unfocussed in my excitement. Bummer... (but a keeper anyway).
