Lebanese Muslim cleric: Jew-hatred bridges Sunni/Shi'ite divide

MaherHamoud.jpg
An Islamic cleric defines his heroes

Something they can all agree on. Note that he is preaching violence against Jews not only in reference to Gaza and Israel, but worldwide. "Sunni Lebanese Cleric Maher Hamoud Launches Unprecedented Attack on Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmad Abu Gheith, Calling Him 'Idiot Abu Shit," from MEMRITV, January 3 (thanks to Carl In Jerusalem):

Following are excerpts from a public address delivered by Sunni Lebanese cleric Sheik Maher Hamoud, which aired on NBN TV on January 3, 2009:

Sheik Maher Hamoud: Today, there is no distinction between Sunnis and Shiites. The party of resistance stretches from Beirut, Maroun Al-Ras, Bint Jbeil, from the proud southern suburb of Beirut, and from Ein Al-Tineh, to Gaza, Beit Hanoun, Jabalya, and Sajaiyeh. This is the party of Islam, and it exists in Baghdad, in Kabul, and in the villages of Afghanistan as well. Whoever brandishes a sword at the Jews, anyone who incites against the Jews, against the Americans who support them, and against the [Arab] thrones that support them, obey their commands, carry out their wishes, and constitute a party that confronts Hizbullah ["the Party of God"]...

[...]

In this sense, we are all the Party of God – from Tangier to Jakarta, from Tashkent to Nigeria, throughout the Islamic world, in all its capitals, wherever the displaced are to be found, wherever there is anyone who demonstrates, who makes his voice heard, who raises banners, shouts slogans, and incites against the Jews, wherever there is anyone who has nothing but a shoe with which to express his faith. These are all [members] of the Party of God – regardless of their identity, or the identity of their fathers and mothers.

It is faced by the Party of Satan, one of whose members [Egyptian Foreign Minister Abu Al-Gheit] did not hesitate to say anything possible in order to please the Jews. It is a disgrace that his name is Ahmad. He is Ahmaq Abu Ghaet ["Idiot Abu Shit"] – you all know what "shit" means. He is Idiot Abu Shit, not Ahmad Abu Al-Gheit. It is Idiot Abu Shit who is talking a load of shit, when he says the missiles are the reason for these crimes and for what is happening, without shedding a tear.

The more Muslim someone is the more likely that person will be anti-Semitic and a hater all around (including of fellow Muslims). Islam produces hate in amounts unsurpassed by any other ideology, even Marxism and Nazism. Why can't everyone see this? It's so obvious.

Expressing one's faith with ... a shoe??
What deceit to pose as powerless victims,
merely looking for a way to express their "faith!"

Well, I thought he was doing pretty good for a rabid Mohammadan until it became obvious that he has a fecal attraction. Most likely an impaction as well. I wrote about opticalrectumitis previously.

He is advocating 'shoe jihad'...I knew it would catch on and become a fad.

Allah never wanted Mohammadans to wear shoes to begin with.

If he did, Mohammadans would be born wearing them...

Of course,"Jew-hatred bridges the Sunni/Shi'ite divide"

Because jew-hatred is one of the basic concepts around which Islam was founded. Apart from that, there is nothing that really unites Shia and Sunni Muslims.

Take a man like Ahmedinejad, for instance. Now why on earth would a Shia-majority country like Iran support a Sunni terrorist organisation like Hamas ? Pretty simple, really. The Iranians know full well that Shia muslims are particularly reviled by the global Sunni majority. Ahmedinejad tries to desperately elevate the status of Shia Muslims world-wide by supporting (Shia) Hezbollah to the north of Israel and (Sunni) Hamas to the south. Iran would probably have preferred Hamas to be Shia, but that does not really matter to them. By supporting Hamas, Iran can stake a claim in waging an effective proxy war on Israel, by keeping Israel in a sort of "pincer movement" stranglehold on both sides of the border. Shia backing of Hamas serves a double purpose :

1)Shaming the non-Shia countries in the region for doing nothing at all to "alleviate the plight of the Palestinians" whereas Shia Muslims "can get things done"
2)Claiming "moral supremacy" for the global Shia community by demonstrating that Sunni Muslims are ineffective at furthering their anti-zionist policies. Iran doesn't really have to spell it out, but to them "Sunni Muslims are all talk"

Now, the opposite would never be true, though. No Sunni terrorist organisation /goverment would ever dare get it into its head to actively support a Shia Jihadist group. Al-Qaeda is in effect a Sunni organisation, and it is hardly likely to spawn off Shia factions within its midst. And no Sunni dominated goverment on this planet will ever allow a Shia minority to gain more political or socioeconomic influence in a country.

And that is because Shia Muslims are accused of being heretics and of proselityzing Sunni Muslims to their brand of Islam, among other things.

But indeed, anti-zionism sort of "unites" them, although Sunni-dominated goverments really hate Iran for the point it is making. They are probably choking in their envy. And besides, no Sunni Arab likes a Shia Persian, either.

Shia and Sunni Muslims will never be friends, as evidenced by what's going on in Iraq or Pakistan.

Apart from anti-zionism, they are only "united" by their anti-Western, ant-democratic and pro-Sharia Law discourse.

A little OT? This looks to be a good editorial by the editors of the Jerusalem Post:

Isn't it good that the Islam brothers can get together and unite over a common cause - killing Jews!

World peace - only will happen after they kill all the Jews!
World hunger - can be solved after they kill all the food-hoarding Jews!
World poverty - once again, those darn Jews have all the money!

You know, if the world leaders could read the lessons of history, they might realize we had to fight a world war to get rid of the last group of anti-semites. We are going to have to fight another to beat this group of moronic bigots as well.

Read the Qur'an and discover that Islam is not a religion, but the largest group of Jew-haters in history.

It won't work. Sunnis and Shiites will still be killing each other in Iraq and elsewhere. Inshallah.

Allah, god of the underworld, that's the "Party of God" he serves. What a maroon.

Name calling is a great way to bridge any divide, LOL!

Neither Maher Hamoud nor his fellow co-religionists are members of a party of god.

They're members of the party of pedophilia, wife-beating, polygamy, sexual violation of livestock, ignorance, stupidity, racism (especially hatred of blacks, though we know that there are many blacks that hate themselves enough to join that very party), nazism, rejection of science and reason, submission to allah (the imaginary), laziness, baksheesh, slavery, corruption, subterfuge, deception, lack of clarity, lack of driving skills, littering, lies, lack of moral clarity, camel-urine drinking, genocide, anti-semitism, brain-atrophy, inshallah fatalism, sharia law, taqqiya, Mein Qurampf, Ibrahim Hooper and the rest of the islamic "package."

Here we go, everyone competing to be #1 on a target list.

How many lives will this Family councling cost? How many Women stuck in the house? How many Children without a Male role model? Well, I guess, we COULD do without the last one.

This same question has been in my mind for a long long time. I believe there is no simple answer because people mostly see what they want to see through the template of there own predjudices. Religion brings all those predjudices to the surface.

Hmm, I wonder, does this include their useful idiots here in the west, the far left and neonazis?

Spot on: Not being religious myself I find all religion a bit strange, just as the religious, or at least many of them, probably think not adhering to some religion rather peculiar, even aberrant. Of course, only Islam is a threat to societies at large; no other major faith is.

Without in any way wishing to pick a fight with those who are religious but not Muslim (with Muslims I do want to fight), I haven't been able not to notice that every religion, and especially the monotheistic ones, use fear in some way to compel belief. Science and philosophy don't do this (totalitarian ideologies masquerading as philosophies excepted). I suppose fear must be used because every religion asserts things which, to be kind, are extraordinary. But, of course, the old line that for those who believe no explanation is necessary and for those who don't no explanation is possible rings quite true. Well, I don't believe and no explanation for me has ever been possible. What bothers me, though, is that fear element so characteristic of every faith. I can understand eternal punishment for heinous behavior, burning in hell or coming back as a carrot or cow or some such thing, but to be punished simply for not accepting a belief system which supplies no ultimate proof and which a reasonable mind could most certainly doubt the veracity of, seems plain wrong to me. Something just ain't right about that. Masks a deep type of insecurity or doubt as I reckon things. Of course, I could reckon wrong.

BUT, I think it important for all religious folk who are not Muslim and all who are not religious whatsoever to band together in opposing one of the most insidious systems of thought ever devised--------Islam. That's why I don't take on Christians and other non-Muslim religious folks here at JW and also why I get irritated with religious skeptics who make a point of mocking or showing some kind of significant disrespect for the religious overall. Not wise. Not productive. A united front against Islamic supremacism must be the order of the day, the week, the month, the year, the century.

All Western leaders need to take these words to heart. There is no point in trying to separate Shiites and Sunnis. They fight amongst themselves but will band together against everyone else, in the manner of a feuding family.

One question: what do Muslims in the West say about the party of Islam? Which is their family?

More Sunnia Shia love

A government sanctioned association called "Guardians of Martyrs' Blood" offered a million dollars bounty for killer of the Egyptian President.

This is a good point, in general. Now, if Israel or anyone else in the West were to try to take out any of those Iranian nuclear facilities, though, I'm sure there would be massive condemnation from all over the "Muslim world"--including from those who would actually be rather glad to see Shi'ite Iran taken down a few pegs.

Wellington - I most assuredly respect your point of view on religion. Religion is for those that want to believe in a hereafter and wonder what is on the other side. I, myself, am a person of religious faith. Live and let live is always foremost in my mind. Each one of us come to our own conclusions.

I have a problem also with those that try to cram one philosophy or another down my throat and I am very practical and "common sense". You seem to be very practical and "common sense" too. "Common sense" dictates that Islam is wicked. Anyone with common sense can see the difference between Islam and other religions. Islam does not adhere to the "golden rule" as other religions do. But then, there are a lot of people out there that do not adhere to the golden rule. Maybe that is where the problem lies regarding the recognition of the wickedness of Islam.

PMK

Listening to the statements by these Islamic people does tell us a great deal about them but a chronicle of their actions over a long period of time tells us much more. There was a time, many years ago, when our leaders had enough common sense to make national policy based upon what they (Islamics) in fact do. I remember when Reagan helped Saddam in order to keep balance between Iraq and Iran in their continued (shi'ite/Sunni) fighting and that was good. It was to our national benefit to keep them fighting each other because otherwise they would be fighting Jews or us. That made sense to me.

Today, our leaders are more "enlightened". (sarc.) Shi'ite/Sunni fighting is now bad. So now the JEWS AND WE are the targets of these peaceful Islamic people. Its a "Islam is a Religion of Peace". (sarc.) But anyone with any common sense could have predicted all this based on these Islamics' past history.

No one in Washington has any common sense any more and things are really out of hand as a result. If common sense in Washington were gun powder, they would not have enough powder to blow anything up.

We are all Dr. Phil's these days. Now we are trying to analyse the psycic of Sunni/Shi'ite hatred verses the Islamic hatred of Jews and us. It is not sufficient that we accept the fact that these people like to fight. Now we need to know why they like to fight.

If you chronicle the actions of these people over the last 1350 years, you would know exactly what to do for the next 1350 years. And that is to stay away from them and help keep them fighting each other which is what they do when we are not around, and they appreciate that kind of help. We also need to keep them in their native habitat i.e. no WMD's or modern technology. We also need to keep them over there and not let them immigrate here.

But no, our enlightened minds won't let us go there. We all want to be Dr. Phil. So those of us who are smart enough to try to understand the complexity of the Islamic mindset as Dr. Phil would do, come here to JW to get educated.

Signed Dr. Phil

I totally agree with Spot on.

Our understanding of the reasons why Shia and Sunni Muslims need to fight one another should not serve as a basis to start psychoanalyzing the issue or to debate it in a civilized manner while the walls are falling down around our ears.

We do not need to look for "a solution". Rather, the opposite.

I think this knowledge should be used as a central focus for Western intelligence agencies and goverments to base their policies on : we in the West should spread as much discord between Sunni and Shia Muslims as possible.

Let them fight each other perpetually.

" He who brandishes a sword at the Jews" ... let me complete it " shall die by that sword ". These muslim clerics who mass produces suicide bombers and preaches hatred are the one to be exterminated first. They have to realize that the world is moving ahead in the 21st century, not like those muslim clerics who wants to pull everyone to the old cave days full of savagery, as they themselves have evolved out of savagery.
