Is this one insulting to Islam too?
"Whoever thinks of insulting Islam or Muslims will suffer the same fate." This is a silly story, but it packs a punch nevertheless -- when Western authorities start talking seriously about banning what Muslims claim to be insults to Islam, they probably don't have pop songs or a thousand other things in mind that they're ultimately going to have to give up in order to please their new masters.
Or else they could say, "Grow up. We all have to put up with insults now and again."
But I won't be holding my breath for that.
"Muslim extremists hijack radio station's website 'because they hate Cliff Richard,'" from the Daily Mail, January 8 (thanks to all who sent this in):
The shocked owner of a radio station whose website has been hijacked by Muslim extremists believes it was targeted because they played a song by Cliff Richard.Hackers removed the station’s home page and replaced it with haunting images and a message said to be on behalf of Ahmed Al-Qahtani - a suspect in the 9/11 attacks.
Radio Basingstoke owner and DJ Astrid Haigh-Smith was horrified to find her website pictured a spooky pair of green eyes above a woman on an altar.
The message, which was written in green on a black background, called on God to bless Muslim fighters, or Moujahidines, and warned the West not to insult Islam.
But Ms Haigh-Smith, 53, says she will not allow the fanatics to intimidate her and insists she will not change the station’s playlist.
The station, whose website had 140,000 hits last month, expressed their support for British troops over Christmas and played Cliff Richard’s version of Hallelujah.
The ageing popstar is famous for being a Christian and the Leonard Cohen song was Christmas number one for X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke.
Ms Haigh-Smith said: ‘When I realised what had happened, I was quite frightened and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up.
‘I couldn’t understand why we had been targeted.
‘I just thought maybe it was because we had commented that we hoped our troops would be safe over Christmas.
‘We’ve also played the Cliff Richard version of Hallelujah, but we would never dream of running down any religions.
‘I’m not going to change what songs we play. If we start doing things like that then the terrorists will have won.’
The site was compromised on Monday morning and again on Wednesday.
The hijacker used the name ‘Soldier of Allah’ and ‘M03sl3m H4ck3rs’ - or Muslim Hackers written with numbers.
The message warned: ‘Whoever thinks of insulting Islam or Muslims will suffer the same fate.
‘We are the nightmare of western websites in the cyber war.’...
Bring it on.

Muslim psychotics will not stop until non-Muslims organize sufficiently to demand that all Muslim institutions renounce the 653 murderous hateful hadith that Jamal al Banna (brother of Muslim Brotherhood founder, Hassan al Banna) says inspire Muslims worldwide to commit mass murder and crimes against women and children.
These verses are direct, specific threats against members of communities. They are not vague; they are like a loaded gun held to our head. They are a plan for a Nazi-like "final solution." They don't constitute freedom of expression, much less passibly religious doctrine. Interpretations of threats are done all the time by judges and juries. It is not hard if one has a rational and educated mind.

He was my first "teen idol".
He is now a very devout Christian.
Shame he never recorded a song called
"Alarm Bells Are Ringing".
But then again, who would have listened? Let's hope they are listening now.

‘I’m not going to change what songs we play. If we start doing things like that then the terrorists will have won.’
Isn't it odd. This seems to be the overall feeling of the Brit and yet could you imagine if it was a Government run radio station and Muslims complained about playing Christian songs:
Oh no, we're upsetting Islam. We'd better pull the plug.
However, you won't see this in any other paper other than the Daily Mail. As much as I despise most of the mail, for its blatant Celebrity Worship, there are some very good columnists. Other papers won't publish this as it's NOT news and upsetting to the Muslim Minority. In fact if the BBC reported it, they wouldn't even describe them as Muslims. LOL

horton,
You're on the wrong website. This is a pro Israel anti Hamas/Islam website.
As soon as I saw the Guardian link I new it would be the usual liberal left rubbish. However I did have a look at the first link. I would however try and make you realise that if Israelis do sign the petition to effectively lie on their backs and submit to Islamic destruction of them, then the West really should have left them to the Nazis to be gassed, burned and shot.
However, I have a funny feeling that many won't sign this petition because I think they've learned that turning the cheek doesn't really work. And the Jewish people will certainly know all about that won't they?
Now why not go to another website to promote your left wing drivel?

wow, what a surprise. Muslims intimidating people and breaking laws because of "insults". (Yes, I'm being sarcastic.)
Using numbers for letters is actually called "leet speak" (or usually l337 5p34k). it began in hacker culture and spread to the more mainstream geek culture. (I'm a geek, not a hacker).
Horton: Not really on topic, but thanks for the links. I wasn't aware of the self-hatred in Israel. It's definitely sad. It's also sad to see our Dhimmi-President-elect is willing to talk with Hamas who have refused peace in the past.
What's that? You don't recognize Isreal's right to defend itself from deranged murderers and you take the liberal left as a vindication for your views?

Cliff Richard? The one who fell from the coconut palm? Oh, no, I think I'm confusing him with Keith Richard. They're all a blur to me.
Well, here's a version of "Hallelujah" that I like, and I don't see what Muslims might object to in this, except now I've just remembered -- it was that learned theologian, the Ayatollah Khomeini, who said truthfully that "there is no fun in Islam."
Well, tant pis pour lui, et pour tous les musulmanes. Here goes anyway:

It's Sir Cliff Richard
and Keith Richards from the Stones. He's the one who fell from the tree.
He is also known as "Keef".
(Considered one of the best rock guitarists in the world along with Eric Clapton and the late Jimi Hendrix.)
And thanks for the clip :)

Cliff Richard? C'mon! I know who he is, but I don't think anyone born in the last thirty years does.
What's next - Disco music? Oh, wait.................No, as much as I hate disco music it such not be banned by sociopathic jihadis.
You know, you just can't make this stuff up.

Muslims pulled the rap singer Buster Rymes, Arab Money. He apologized because Arabs/Muslims owns gangsta rap.
Next the Muslims will attack churches and temples. Bare Naked Islam shows a black Jew defending israel in Fort Lauderdale. People are tired of being bullied by Islamic Muslims. SICK AND TIRED!

Jihadists--even upset by sweet, innocuous *Cliff Richard*.
Well, why not? Sayyid Qutb, one of the founders of the Muslim Brotherhood, was horrified by the licentiousness of an American dance he attended--held in a church--in a "dry" county in Colorado--in 1948. He considered it an animalistic display of bare limbs and sex mixing--uh, hardly the light in which most of us would characterize a church dance.
The radio station sent a message that they "hoped our troops would be safe over Christmas". What a bunch of Islamophobic warmongers!
This is an object lesson for social conservatives, who might think they have an ally in "conservative" Muslims in a fight for family values--they could not be more wrong.

"‘We’ve also played the Cliff Richard version of Hallelujah, but we would never dream of running down any religions."
Well-meaning idiots better learn fast that they better start "dreaming" -- and thinking about "running down Islam" before they find their heads served up on a platter by the same Muslims whose precious religion they wouldn't "dream" of "running down".

I found these upbeat lyrics to a song entitled, Muslim Rent-a-Mob, just for laughs!
We're the Muslim rent-a-mob, we're on TV
We're burning an effigy
We're the Muslim rant-a-mob, oh, can't you see
Us protesting endlessly
You slag off Islam - we go berserk
Reaction is instinctive we are just
A bunch of knee-jerks
We're the Muslim rent-a-mob, in case you'd not guessed:
We hate the West
We never stop to think about the things that we hate
Our utter lack of tolerance - you'll have to tolerate
We're the Muslim rent-a-mob, such uncivilized goons
We don't like cartoons
We're the Muslim rent-a-mob, and we also hate the Pope
Listen to him? Not a hope.
We're paranoid and credulous, and easily taken in
Don't diss our prophet, Muhammed (Peace be upon him)
We're the Muslim rent-a-mob, here's what we do:
What Imams tell us to

The first movie I saw with Cliff was "The Young Ones", but there was an earlier one called "Expresso Bongo" which I saw later on late-night tv.
I got to meet him in person several years ago at the Aussie Grand Slam. (he's a big tennis fan).
He was sitting in the same row and my husband dragged me over, kicking and screaming:I was a bit shy.
He was utterly charming!

Actually, he WAS Keith Richard for awhile, then resumed being Keith Richards. Hallelujah.

Cliff Richard has a website, and his music is totally harmless and sweet. Anyone who finds it offensive is out of the ever lovin' mind, so I just don't get it. I can think of other musicians that might be better candidates for the spooky Muslims to pester, but not ole Cliff. Good grief.

Who knew that Sir Cliff would eventually become the target of Muslims? I mean, the poor guy's been the target of a lot of people. He's been around longer than Elvis, he'll continue to be around for the next hundred or so years.

Well I have a deep unending loathing for Cliff Richard as well (remember "Millenium Prayer"). However taking over a radio station to stop them playing him is a bit extreme.
They might not like the fact Sir Cliff is of dubious sexuality either.

I don't know why you filthy kufrs can't get it through your thick heads that anything that offends Mohammadans, no matter how small, or trivial has to go.
Hamas killed all those people, and the groom, at a wedding party because they were singing.
Completely justified in the eye's of Allah.
So if you know what's good for you, whenever a Mohammadan complains, move heaven and earth to remove the cause...It's just not right that Mohammadans mentally suffer...

Nobody better go after Amy Winehouse. If anyone's going to kill her it should be her. Seriously, 'Back to Black' is the best album to have come out in the last ten years. She's too drunk and high to even watch her back. I knew it was a matter of time until she was a target. She's brilliant, she's Jewish, and she doesn't care what anyone thinks.

As long as this terrroists manual is not banned you cannot ban the actions by the followers who read this manual. I.e. since bombs are illegal to possess in the west by civilians, the manuals to make bombs are banned and illegal too.
Imagine if the manuals for making bombs were openly legal, would you prohibit someone from experimenting with bomb making.
Every terrorist act is condoned by the quran or koran (islam) if it is carried against the Infidels.
