Asking for prayer from all my christian brothers and sisters out there.
I'm a messianic Jew living in San Fransodom, CA and will be attending the counter protest tomorrow.
Last weeks protest at the Israeli Consulate almost got real ugly. The SFPD has a habit of letting the pali's go nuts and only respond to the pro Israel crowd with force when we defend ourselves.
The Pali's will come over to our side, with their faces covered and then start grabbing flags and signs etc out of our hands, then when we respond in defense, we get arrested and they walk free.
As SF is a bastion of liberal idiocy, we are greatly outnumbered and the far left anarchy crowd is always there to have their fun.
So please keep the Israel supporters in San Francisco in your prayers.
I'll give a report tomorrow. Shalom and thanks to all who support Israel.

I went to an event the other day. The event was educational, emotional, and respectful. The National Anthem and Hatikvah were sung. The case for Israel was articulately expressed. Prayers were offered. Sympathy was expressed for Israelis and Palestinian civillians.
Fortunately, there was a stark contrast to some of the rallies I've seen on youtube. No racism, religious denigration, calls for violence, or hate speech was used.
I guess when you have truth on your side, you don't need to resort to those tactics.

Dani'El, you have my prayers. I don't know how people of faith of ANY religion can abide living in the Bay Area! I understand the crazies keep a crew of "professional protestors" who show up at any sort of gathering, to heckle those of religious or conservative persuasion.
Speaking of odd protestors, I noticed a quick-shot of a protesting crowd on FOX News the other night. I'm not sure which city they were in. One boy (of obvious Arab, Middle-Eastern ancestry) in the front of the line was wearing a Che Guevara t-shirt. Maybe I'm being thick-headed, but why would someone like this be attracted to a communist atheist?

I can't get to any of these events, but I can get to our local one...I would bet that the local liberal/leftists are going to have a pro Pali demonstration on our one local overpass. They think they own this piece of roadway...I will show up and stand for Israel, and I will probably be alone, they will number around one hundred.
I may get attacked...fortunately most of them are aging hippies and not into fist fighting...I probably will get arrested for causing a disturbance...
Or, they may not have a demonstration at all, but they never pass up and opportunity, so the chances are good. If this actually comes about, I will try and take pictures. It's also possible this will be an exercise in boredom...The local liberals are vicious, but not very entertaining...

And if you can, burn Pali flags, and that of other Islamic countries, like Saudi Arabia (psst - that would be burning the shehada), Pakistan, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt. Or, if burning isn't allowed, make streetmats of them - the same way Mohammedans do of Old Glory. Let's see how the cops respond, and if they do, file a suit under the equal protection clause.
Only thing - don't do it in the jurisdiction of the 9th Circus Court of the US.

I know this suggestion was posted on this website not long ago, probably by Hugh Fitzgerald, but it's worth a follow-up.
Demonstrators should have placards which expose, in a concise and easily read way, the horrors of Islam, so that participants and observers can more easily understand that which motivates Israel's Muslim adversaries. Examples:
-Islam: The only religion that calls for perpetual warfare against unbelievers
-Islam does not mean peace - it means Submission
-There may be peaceful Muslims, but Islam itself is NOT peaceful (note: this, is a paraphrase of Ibn Warraq's comment about moderate Islam)
-Islam teaches that Jews and Christians are blasphemers and polytheists who will burn in Hell
-Islam teaches that Jesus and Moses were Muslims, who preached Islam
-Islam teaches that Jesus will return to destroy Christianity and make Islam the world's only religion
-Islam permits the enslavement, rape, and murder of non-Muslims if they refuse to convert or pay tribute
-Islam has NO golden rule: unbelievers are not to be treated equally
-Muhammed married a six year old girl, Ayesha, and had sexual intercourse with her when she was nine. He was fifty two.
-Muhammed killed 800 Jewish men and raped and enslaved their wives and children
-Islam permits slavery, rape, and murder
-Jihad in Thailand, Sudan, Indonesia, China - all unrelated to Israel. ISLAM is the problem.
Many other, maybe far better, placards should be devised.
These types of slogans would be more effective than the "Stand up for Israel" type. Also, any media coverage, especially photographs, might help to spur the curiosity of some of the many who are unfamiliar with the precepts of Islam but suspect they are not being told the truth by the mainstream media or the government. More investigation may result, with greater understanding of Islam's menace being the consequence.
One other thing. Note that all of the statements suggested are entirely true. Not one is in any way slanderous or tendentious. Keep it that way. The truth is enough. Quite enough.
