HOUSTON - A Pennsylvania man who was arrested last week for allegedly trying to sell a bomb to al-Qaida is now accused of a more sinister plot.Posted at May 27, 2005 10:04 AMAn FBI agent has testified that the suspect was ready to make and unleash a radioactive bomb at the Super Bowl. Ronald Grecula is also accused of suggesting that attackers use remote-controlled model airplanes, filled with explosives, to blow up bridges in the Northeast. He also allegedly discussed bombings at targets in New York and Washington, DC.
Grecula was arrested in Houston last week. He was caught in a sting operation, in which federal agents and local police were pretending to be part of the Russian mafia with ties to al-Qaida...
