Hi, Hayrake ... I purchased Thomas Horn's book: Petrus Romanus, about a year ago, and it's utterly fascinating! And the prophecies of St. Malachy have been 100% accurate thus far, so it stands to reason that Malachy will be right again about the new pope being the last pope. Time will tell. There's an interesting historical fact related to this eschatological speculation about Pope Francis: his eponym, the great medieval St. Francis of Assisi (1181-1226) generated in his lifetime and after his death quite a following, mainly in the monastic order called the "Franciscans". Among these Franciscans was a sect who took their enthusiasm too far, particularly based on the writings of Joachim of Flora, a Cistercian monk whose life slightly preceded (died in 1202) that of St. Francis. Thanks for your reasoned response, gravenimage. I'm not saying that "we" have no idea about how many Muslims want Sharia law, I'm saying that *I* don't. But, even given the numbers that you posted, they seem high to me. When you consider that there have been riots in Egypt against the implementation of Sharia law there, it doesn't make sense to me if only 20% of the population of Egypt is against it.
