Ashley, that's just a legal technicality. Everyone is innocent until proved guilty by a court of law, no matter how many witnesses agree about exactly what happened. Legally, he is only "suspected" of attempted murder. In practice, there is not much doubt about the forthcoming verdict. The only question is whether he was "insane" (and will be imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital) or "sane" (and will be imprisoned in a common jail)....

"Everyone is innocent until proved guilty by a court of law..." Not everyone. Consider the millions we had to kill in WW2. Did we first try to arrest them and Mirandize them and try them, before we could treat them as the immediately & imminently deadly enemy combatants at war with us that they were? So it's not a matter of law: it's a matter of our PC MC culture predisposed to gyrate gymnastically every which way but loose in order to avoid seeing that all Muslims are enemy combatants (or enablers in the sense of the residents of Dresden)....

Besides guns, dogs. That's what every Infidel cop who has to patrol or enter an Islamised area in the execution of his duty, should have with him at all times. And that applies *especially* when dealing with a 'disturbance' of this kind; or a Mohammedan 'domestic', or when executing a search or arrest warrant on Mohammedan premises, or when having to contain, restrain and break up a Muslim mob (as in Sydney, in September 2012). Always, always, always bring the dogs. *Big* dogs. I recall reading of the Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad executing an arrest warrant upon Mohammedan premises...
