This confirms what thinking people have known for many months, but few state authorities admit: that Western Muslims travelling to Syria to learn jihad are returning to the West in order to carry out attacks. Berlingske - FE: Westerners are the primary threat

The greatest threat to the West from al-Qaeda's involvement in Syria is Westerners who have links to the militant network and return home with bad intentions, estimates The Danish Defence Intelligence Service.

The Defence Intelligence Service (FE) is closely monitoring the civil war in Syria and its influence on Denmark's security.

This is the conclusion in a new report from the FE that gives an insight into FE's assessments and general work in 2011 and 2012.

"The primary threat to the West from al-Qaeda's involvement in Syria is Westerners who get weapons training, combat experience and contact with the militant network and then travel back to the West to carry out attacks," says the report.

Karen West from the Social Democracy in Denmark posted this on her Facebook:

Yesterday I received a screenshot in which the "social democratic" Youssef Khalil Idiab, member of city council of Brøndby (Copenhagen suburb), wrote to a Jewish woman:

"I am your nightmare , wait for me, Palestinia is on the way, peace is on the way, and you and ours are on the way to the dump of history, wishing you frightening nightmares."

Once again we see young Muslims in the West getting the crazy idea that Islam sanctions mass murder. Yet Muslim spokesmen in the Europe and the U.S. routinely castigate as "Islamophobic" anyone who dares to explore what it is in the texts and teachings of Islam that makes some Muslims think this way. One would almost think that these spokesmen want to enable that violence by shutting down any attempt to analyze and resist it.

"Brothers found guilty of training for terror," from the Copenhagen Post, March 25 (thanks to Lookmann):

Both men sentenced to three and a half years after damning audio from phone conversations suggested that they intended to embark on a murderous rampage in Europe

The two Danish-Somali brothers who were accused of financing terror and training for terrorist acts last month were found guilty today in Aarhus.

The brothers, aged 19 and 24, were each handed prison sentences of three and a half years by presiding judge Poul Holm, who put emphasis on a number of phone conversations between the 24-year-old brother, who was in Somalia between November 2011 and March 2012, and the 19-year-old in Aarhus.

On sound recordings from the conversations, the older brother said that he would “assemble a whole group [to] go to Europe and murder everything”. The judge and all the jury members, aside from one, found that the brothers were training for terror purposes.

The Aarhus case was unusual as it was the first time individuals were convicted of receiving training and preparing for a terror attack while in a foreign-based terror training camp.

The two brothers were also charged with providing financial support to al-Shabaab - which is considered a terrorist organisation by several European countries, the US, Canada and Australia - but were found not guilty on that charge....

"He was fined 5,000 kroner ($1,000) in 2011 for making a series of insulting and degrading statements about Muslims." Note the bias. "Insulting and degrading" according to whom? Islamic supremacists have a long history of considering truths about Islam that they would prefer not be known "insulting and degrading" when noted by non-Muslims.

This AP report also says that the International Free Press Society "claims press freedom is under threat from Islam." Obviously it is: the bias of this article shows that.

Hedegaard, who hosted me to speak in Copenhagen in 2009, was not cowed by the attempt to silence him through legal means. Now it appears that the foes of free speech are ratcheting up their war against those who defend it.

"Report: Gunman fires at anti-Islam writer, misses," from the Associated Press, February 5:

COPENHAGEN, Denmark -- Danish media are reporting that an unknown gunman has tried to shoot a Danish writer and historian who is a prominent critic of Islam.

TV2 News and the Politiken news site say Lars Hedegaard was not injured in the shooting.

Both say the gunman came up to Hedegaard's Copenhagen home Tuesday on the pretext of delivering a package, and then fired at least one shot but missed the writer.

Copenhagen police confirmed that there had been a shooting without injuries. They wouldn't say whether Hedegaard was the intended target.

Hedegaard heads the International Free Press Society, a group that claims press freedom is under threat from Islam.

He was fined 5,000 kroner ($1,000) in 2011 for making a series of insulting and degrading statements about Muslims.

Having worked in Copenhagen's youth prison, I know that the only gangs that rule in Nørrebro, Copenhagen, are Muslim -- Blågårdsbanden and Brothas are two of them. JihadWatch has earlier reported on Muslim extortion against non-Muslim businesses on Nørrebro: Denmark: 67-year-old female bar owner becomes national hero for standing up against Muslim mafia's jizya demand.

Read more about the Muslim area Nørrebro in Copenhagen on JihadWatch here.

Translated by Nicolai Sennels, Ekstrabladet December 13, 2012, "Extortion against church on Nørrebro":

A new case of extortion in Nørrebro in Copenhagen has been reported to the police. This time the claim is not directed at a tavern, but a local church.

In August this year extortion against Café Viking in the same area caused outraged across the country, as the courageous owner, Jane Pedersen, came up against bullies and went public after threats and vandalism.

Now the criminals have turned against the Holy Cross Church on Kapelvej in the heart of Nørrebro, a few hundred meters from Blågårds Plads.

Three young boys met up twice this week at the rear entrance to the church. Here they notified the verger that the church was in their territory and therefore has to pay money.

Mikkel Gabriel Christoffersen, president of Blågårdsplads parish, confirms to ekstrabladet.dk that the church has reported the matter to the police.

"Three youths visited our employees Tuesday and Wednesday and asked for money, because the church is in 'their' area. They got a clear no, and since the we have not seen more of the boys,' says Mikkel Gabriel Christoffersen."

The Simon Wiesenthal Center already issued a travel advisory for the Swedish city of Malmo, just on the other side of the bridge from Copenhagen, and I guess it will not take long before Copenhagen receives the same "honour"... More at JihadWatch on the Muslim-dominated area Nørrebro in Copenhagen here.

Translated by Nicolai Sennels, Jyllands-Posten, December 11 2012 "Advice to Jews: Hide the Star of David and your skullcap":

If you are a jew in Copenhagen, it is wise to not show that publicly. On the street there is a risk of harassment, says Israel's ambassador.

"We advise Israelis who comes to visit the synagogue to not wear their skullcap before they are inside. They should not wear it on the street -- not even in areas that are considered 'safe'," says Ambassador Arthur Avnon, who also discourages wearing visible Stars of David and speaking Hebrew loudly in public spaces.

The Mosaic Religious Community advises its young members to think twice before deciding whether to wear a necklace with a Star of David on it.

At the Jewish private school Caroline, headteacher Jan G. Hansen says:

"It's not something we advises officially, but we talk about it in informal settings. We advise people to consider the risk before passing through certain neighborhoods in Copenhagen with a skullcap or Star of David."

There are no official statistics on the harassment of Jews, but Mosaic Religious Community has received 37 reviews of possible anti-Semitism in 2012, ranging from hostile anti-Semitic threats to violent assaults. Much has taken place in Nørrebro or at the synagogue in the middle of Copenhagen.

The Institute for Human Rights follows the so-called hate crimes.

"I understand that the Jews want to protect themselves, but I am sorry that they feel the need to hide their religion. People should feel safe on the street, whether they are Jews, Muslims or Christians," says chief consultant Mandana Zarrehparvar.

The Copenhagen Police will not comment on other people's safety instructions. But Police Commissioner Lars-Christian Borg says that Jews, like other "risk groups", for example, homosexuals who want to hold hands, must take precautions:

"If there are areas where you know that there is a conflict and risk of harassment, you have to stay away. It is a shame to say it, but it's some of the advices we give."

From the Jewish community, several point to the fact that much of the harassment comes from Arabs and/or Muslims.

Translated from Jyllands-Posten (not online), via Uriasposten.net: "They could have burnt it all down" (interview with Israeli ambassador in Denmark, Arthur Avnon):

"We see the same trend in European countries, where there is a large Muslim population. In the Czech Republic, where I was ambassador before, such things do not happen. But in some countries, there are areas where you cannot go as a Jew -- it's like Gaza. In French cities, in London, Antwerp, Brussels. You see the same trend, and Jews are looking for another place to live."

From the fact box:

"November 2012: An elderly Israeli man who has lived in Denmark for many years was assaulted by a group of Arabic-looking men when he ate a kebab at Nørrebro. The perpetrators kicked the victim several times and tore the victim's necklace, on which a visible star of David was hanging, off."

Translated from Jyllands-Posten, December 12, 2012: "Social Democrat: Jew hatred is grotesque":

"It is grotesque. Consider the outcry that would arise if the Turkish embassy advised women against wearing headscarves in Copenhagen. Denmark would hit the rock bottom of all ranking lists on racism," says Lars Aslan Rasmussen.

He understands the advice to the Jews:

"I would not dare to go with a kippah in Nørrebro. Not even for fun. I would be afraid to get killed, to put it bluntly," says Lars Aslan Rasmussen, who has Turkish roots and comes from Nørrebro.

When I published my book in 2009, I was criticised for claiming that Muslim criminals are not just "criminals", but religious and flirting with Islamic extremism. It was about time that our intelligence services realize the problem...

Translated by Nicolai Sennels, Berlingske 18 November 2012 "Criminals fight in conflict zones":

A fresh report from the Danish Police Intelligence Service (PET) warns that members of criminal gangs travel abroad to fight in the world's conflict zones. And that they return as radicalised warriors that constitute a terror threat back in Denmark.

Not only do people from Denmark and other western countries travel to Syria, Somalia and other of the world's conflict zones to join rebel and terror groups. There is also an "increasing tendency for overlapping between criminal gangs and militant Islamic environments".

This is the conclusion in a new report from the Danish Police Intelligence Service (PET). The report describes how the Center for Terror Analyzis (CTA) discovered how foreign fighters acquire militant skills, including dangerous connections, and return as terror threats. ...

Recruitment is done via the Internet, the PET report concludes. And the Somali terrorist group al-Shabaab produces propaganda videos where foreign fighters from the West encourage other Westerners to sign up.

While the newly elected Muslim majority in a local board in Kokkedal, Denmark decided not to spend 1,000 USD on a Christmas tree a few days after having spent 10,000 USD on their Eid-party, their brothers and sisters in faith in the municipality North Als found a way to benefit from the infidels' tradition: Applying for economic help to celebrate Christmas... They want our money but not our culture and we gladly pay - even if it means that Christian Danish families will then have to do without. When Christian organisations will stand up for the culture and tax payers supporting them...? One more example of The sad, sad lack of solidarity among Christians:

Translated by Nicolai Sennels from Ekstrabladet, November 14 2012 "90 percent of applicants for economic help to celebrate Christmas are Muslims":

The President of the Church Cross Army, Havnbjerg Ole Sørensen Werth, was leading the meeting as the board met on Monday. And as a regular item on the November meeting agenda, requests for economic help for celebrating Christmas were undertaken -- but something had changed compared to last year:

"We noticed many with foreign, non-Danish names. Let's just call them Muslims. It surprised us and we discussed it," says Ole Werth Sorensen, who has headed the Church Army's local Christmas help for five years.

They also discussed that it would be necessary to deselect some of the applicants because of the many families applying. Quickly it was decided that they could not discriminate because of peoples' faith, but that it might be necessary to initially reject candidates who are not single parents.

"Economic Christmas Help is about Christian charity, and whether your name is Mustafa or Jens does not matter, though we shall discuss it at the next board meeting. Then we will also know how many applications we have," says Ole Werth. Last year, 43 individuals / families Christmas received a gift consisting of a voucher of 30-60 USD to the local shopping center -- and / or a gift voucher of 30 - 75 USD for the Church Cross Army second hand store: 30 individuals / families were also paid a small amount of cash.

The final remark about a "lack of tolerance and inclusiveness from the new majority" is probably the most important. Translated by Nicolai Sennels, dr.dk "Muslims cancel Christmas celebration in housing area":

The housing area Egedalsvænge in Kokkedal, Denmark, will not have a Christmas tree with lights this year. A small Muslim majority in the Egedalsvænge Board has refused to spend money on the Christmas tree a few days after a big Eid celebration....

For decades it has been a tradition to have a Christmas tree with lights in the area between the buildings throughout the month of December. But now a majority in the Chamber Board refused to spend the approximately 1,000 dollars that a Christmas tree with lights costs.

The decision has attracted much attention since it was made three days after a big Islamic Eid party in Egedalsvænge. A mobile play ground, bungee jumping and a climbing wall was rented to make the Muslim celebration attractive for children and adults, and this event the Board had agreed to finance with appr. 10,000 dollars.

Although the small majority in the Chamber Board of Directors was democratically elected at the general meeting in September, the new course has surprised many. It is a sign of a lack of tolerance and inclusiveness from the new majority in the fund's board of directors, says one person from the Egedalsvænge, where many refuse to talk to the media.

Yet again showing the absurd avidity of so many non-Muslims in West to find and feature "moderate Muslims," and the corners they paint themselves into when they accept at face value the self-descriptions of all too many "moderates."

"Minister cancels appearance at anti-radicalism conference," by Peter Stanners in the Copenhagen Post, September 6 (thanks to David):

The minister for integration and social affairs, Karen Hækkerup (Socialdemokraterne), has pulled out of a conference on religious radicalism next week after she discovered that one of the speakers helped fashion Pakistan’s highly controversial anti-blasphemy laws.

The conference’s organisers, the Danish Ethnic Youth Council, had invited the scholar Muhammad Tahir ul-Qadri, leader of the Muslim organisation Minhaj-ul-Quran, to speak on tackling religious radicalisation. The head of the domestic intelligence agency PET, Jakob Scharf, was also invited.

While ul-Qadri is best known for declaring a fatwa, or religious ruling, against terrorism, he also worked as a legal adviser to the Pakistani government in the shaping of anti-blasphemy laws that were recently used to arrest a mentally-challenged girl for allegedly burning the Koran.

This morning, Hækkerup announced that had she would not have agreed to speak at the Conference for Political and Religious Radicalism, which is being held at Copenhagen Business School on September 11, if she had known that ul-Qadri was also planning on attending.

“I am very angry at being connected with something that is so contrary to my views,” Hækkerup told Ritzau. “Politically, I see no reason to take part in the debate. I think it is deplorable that he is coming.”

On the conference's event page, the Danish Ethnic Youth Council confirmed that Hækkerup had cancelled.

Jaleh Tavakoli, a blogger for Jyllands-Posten newspaper and member of City Council, wrote on Sunday that the only reason that ul-Qadri would be a partner in the fight against religious radicalism, is his 2010 fatwa against terrorism.

“The leader of Minhaj-ul-Quran, who is expected to speak at the conference in Copenhagen, is a proponent of, and has actively participated in, the process of Islamisation that lead to the type of legislation that the girl is being charged under,” Tavakoli wrote. “Simply put, he has been a legal adviser in connection with [Pakistan's] establishing of Sharia law and blasphemy laws which could mean death for many Christians, atheists and Muslims.”

Ul-Qadri is on a six-day tour of Denmark that includes speaking at the European Peace Conference at Tivoli Congress Center on Sunday. He was nominated for the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize and has taken a prominent stance against the use of the Koran to justify terrorism.

67-year-old Jane Pedersen, owner of Cafe Viking, has become a national hero after she spoke out in public against the Muslim gangs that demanded "protection money" from her because she runs a cafe in "their territory".

Translated by Nicolai Sennels, Jyllands-Posten, August 23, 2012: "Massive support for Cafe Viking":

Several hundred people showed up to support the owner who said no to extortion. Café Viking in Nørrebro in Copenhagen Thursday evening is filled as never before.

Hundreds of people show up to support the owner of Café Viking, Jane Pedersen, who earlier Thursday stood up and told publicly how a gang tried to force her to pay protection money.

She received support from both the neighborhood and the people who showed up following a request at the Facebook group "No to Bullies - Yes to beers".

So many have brought flowers that the kitchen is almost full of flowers. At the same time people are calling from across the country stating their support.

Background:

Translated by Nicolai Sennels, Jyllands-Posten, August 23, 2012: "Immigrant gangs extort bars at Nørrebro"

Several pubs and shops in Nørrebro in Copenhagen are plagued by extortionists who threaten to trash the places if they do not get money.

On Thursday, several shop owners were gathered for a meeting with the police and the municipality in an attempt to stop the coarse methods ... Most recently, unknown men on Tuesday night threw rocks through the windows of the tavern Café Viking on Ægirsgade.

The attack happened while there were guests inside the cafe ... "Some guys came in here and told me that I have to pay to be in their area. I refused. I could be their grandmother, and it simply cannot be justified," says Jane Pedersen ...

Also, the owner of a coin laundry and two additional bars have been subjected to extortion.

Some of the criminals say they come from the (Muslim) gang Brothas in Mjølnerparken. Others say that they represent the (Muslim) gang at Blågårds Plads.

At the traditional Eid celebrations in the Muslim ghetto of Vollsmose in Denmark's third biggest city, Odense, a car arrives with two Muslims from a unwelcome gang. One of the two is shot and later stabbed, the other escapes. As the victim receives treatment at Odense University Hospital, 60-70 aggressive and violent Muslims arrive at the hospital, bringing weapons such as clubs, knives and even guns, wanting to kill him. The police are quick to respond, but are not able to make any arrests. They draw their guns in order to make the Muslims leave the hospital. On their way out, the angry mob smashes several windows in an ambulance and a police car. Later during the day, the police manage to arrest 6 of them, and now their many friends are threatening to cause even bigger riots if they are not released.

Here are some excerpts on the resent Muslim riots in Vollsmose, Denmark, translated by Nicolai Sennels:

"Riots after shootings in Vollsmose - police drew weapons"

An Eid celebration in the Odense district of Vollsmose exploded in violence shortly before midnight Monday night in attempted murder, violent unrest, vandalism and grave disturbance of peace and order inside a hospital. Police officers had to draw their service weapons.

A large group of people had gathered at an amusement park at the shopping center in Vollsmose Square to celebrate the end of Ramadan, when a car parked in a nearby parking lot.

"As the car drove into the parking lot, the two men in the car were identified as 'enemies', and were shot at from several directions. A 26-year-old from the car was hit by at least two shots in one leg and was subsequently stabbed multiple times with a knife in the other leg. His 24-year-old friend took flight in the car"...

Police were called at 23.47.

The conflict broke out because of enmity between two different immigrant groups. One group is based in Vollsmose, and the other outside Odense district. ...

When the police and an ambulance arrived to take the 26-year-old victim out of Vollsmose, more trouble arose.

"They threw stones at the police and two patrol cars were completely destroyed, but we managed to get the man out without any of the officers getting physically harmed," said the head of security at Funen Police ...

The 26-year-old was rushed to the University Hospital of Odense.

"He was in danger and had suffered a great loss of blood when he was brought into the hospital. He has been on the operating table all night and is reported now in stable condition and out of danger."...

60-70 men armed with various blunt weapons tried Tuesday night to reach the 26-year-old victim.

"They poured into the emergency department with clubs and started to smash vases, lamps and other furniture, and tore pictures from the walls. The staff at the hospital had to run for their lives, and several police officers had to pull their service weapons to force the group out of the living room area."

Vollsmose is boiling: "Don't you remember the riots in Paris?"

In Vollsmose the atmosphere is heated. Several residents have taken to the streets and now demand that the detainees be released by tonight. ...

"If the detainees are not released before tonight, we can not predict what will happen in Vollsmose tonight. Remember the riots in Paris?" said one of the young immigrants ...

Not far from the riots, police and task forces are ready. All are wearing bulletproof vests. ...

The agitated Vollsmose residents have now turned against the press, says politiken.dk's reporter. A television photographer has allegedly been threatened with a knife and asked to leave.

"You will be stoned! Get out of here!" some people shouted to the press, which has now pulled away from the area.

As JihadWatch has reported, 100 percent of convicted rapists in Oslo have non-Western background. According to the Oslo police, non-Western immigrants rape because they are brought up with a view of women that makes them more likely to become rapists. It would be more precise to say that they just follow their religion, which allows them to rape non-Muslim women.

In 2010, 51.5 percent of all convicted rapists had immigrant backgrounds:

Translated by Nicolai Sennels, BT July 22: "Every second convicted rapist has an immigrant background":

Iraqis, Iranians, Turks and Somalis are dramatically overrepresented among convicted rapists in Denmark. More than half of convicted rapists in 2010 have immigrant backgrounds, according to official data from Statistics Denmark. 32 with a Danish background and 27 migrants and 7 descendants of immigrants, totaling 34, were convicted of rape in 2010. In the last seven years, more than one out of three convicted of rape was either an immigrant or a descendant of immigrants: 156 of the 450 convicted rapists since 2004 has an immigrant background. Immigrants and their descendants account for only ten percent of the Danish population.

As JihadWatch recently reported: "Copenhagen: Four new mosques. 16 churches to be closed." More JihadWatch on the Muslim dominated area of Nørrebro in Copenhagen:

"Danish ghetto: pay 1,800 dollars for being 'black and Christian'", "Denmark: Islamic group seeks to introduce "Sharia zones" in Copenhagen", "Denmark: 10-12 Muslims pull four tourists out of their car and stab and beat them -- Muslim gang sees the park as 'their area'" - etc.

Translated by Aurora, Den Korte Avis, July 6: "The Muslim Brotherhood has a mosque at Nørrebro", etc.

... This is the third planned mosque in Copenhagen. The other one is at Mimersgade (a mosque connected to Iran). They also want to raise and collect money to build a grand mosque at Amager.

The politicians are thrilled
Many prominent politicians are pleased with the new building, and the city-minister of Integration of Copenhagen, Anna Mee Allerslev, wrote in her blog in Jyllands- Posten: “I am very much looking forward to see the new big mosque” ...

Muslim Brotherhood mosque
But perhaps the politicians should take a second look. For the Danish Islamic Council is part of the Muslim Brotherhood network in Europe. The Islamic Council writes on their website: "The Danish Islamic Council is an independent Danish Islamic charitable institution which is a co-founder of the Union of Islamic Organizations in Europe."

The Union of Islamic Organizations is part of the Muslim Brotherhood network in Europe. This is proven by, among other things, the book "The New Muslim Brotherhood in the West." It is written by the lawyer Lorenzo Vidino, an internationally recognized expert on Islamism and political violence in Europe and North America.

m6.jpegThe free world should condemn those who plot murder over this

It is good that these men were convicted, but Motoon Rage is achieving its desired end result: most Western politicians would sooner condemn the cartoons and other perceived "insults" to Islam, and censor themselves and their constituents, rather than stand up and condemn the demonic madness of murdering over cartoons. "Four guilty of Danish plot over Muhammad cartoons," from the BBC, June 4 (thanks to all who sent this in):

Four men have been found guilty by a Danish court of planning a terrorist attack on the offices of the Jyllands-Posten newspaper in Copenhagen.

The court heard the men wanted to kill a large number of people in revenge for the paper's publication of cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad in 2005.

The four were all Muslims resident in Sweden. Police said they were arrested just hours before the foiled attack.

The men, who had denied charges of terrorism, face up to 16 years in jail.

Jyllands-Posten's publication of the cartoons of Muhammad sparked protests in Muslim countries....

"Protests," yes, including insane violence and the murder of innocent people. And these jihadis intended to murder even more innocent people:

Prosecutors said that they had intended to kill "an unknown number" of people during the attack, which had been due to take place on the same day as a sporting award ceremony attended by Crown Prince Frederik....

Only 43.3 percent of male Somali immigrants and 33 percent of female Somali immigrants in Denmark have a job. It is therefore fair to guess that social benefits from the Danish states finance terror against Denmark. On May 27, two Somali immigrants were arrested for planning terror against Denmark.

Translated from Danish by Nicolai Sennels, Jyllands-Posten, May 30: "Police: Danish millions pay terror":

Every day an average of between 27,000 and 55,000 Danish kroner (4,500 - 9,000 USD) is sent to terrorist organizations abroad, according to the Police Intelligence Service (PET). The donors do not necessarily know that they finance terror.

"It is not easy to find the exact amount of money spent on financing terrorism in Denmark, but it is PET's assessment that 10-20 million Danish kroners are transferred to terrorists annually. PET is working together with other authorities to address the transfer of funds to terrorism," said the head of PET, Jakob Scharf.

Jyllands-Posten recently described how Somali immigrants send large sums out of Denmark every year. ... Danish authorities have determined that 1.4 billion kroner (233 million USD) are sent from Somalis in Denmark to Dubai, from which the money is probably sent to Somalia.

PET's former operative chief Hans Joergen Bonnichsen said: "To me there is no doubt that the latest arrests are rooted in the Muhammad cartoons." Yet still no one in the West denounces the madness and irrationality of killing and plotting to kill over cartoon images. Instead, the calls continue to limit the freedom of speech to appease the irrationally violent.

"PET foil 'concrete terror action,'" by Christian Wenande in the Copenhagen Post, May 29 (thanks to all who sent this in):

Domestic intelligence services have picked up two Danish-Somali brothers suspected of plotting a terrorist attack in Denmark.

The two brothers, who are believed to have connections to the Somali terrorist group al-Shabab, were arrested on Monday evening and are due to appear in court today in Aarhus for preliminary questioning.

One of the brothers was arrested in Aarhus while the other was arrested at Copenhagen Airport. Authorities have ransacked two addresses in connection with the arrests.

Domestic intelligence agency PET suspect the two brothers, aged 18 and 23, of planning a terror attack in Denmark after hearing them discuss potential targets, methods of attack and use of weaponry. Both brothers are Danish citizens of Somali heritage and have lived in the Aarhus area for about 16 years.

One of the brothers is suspected to have received instruction at an al-Shabab training base in Somalia, which is a new phenomenon for a terror arrest in Denmark, according to Hans Jørgen Bonnichsen, the former operative head of PET.

”It makes a difference whether or not they have been trained or are self-active,” Bonnichsen told Politiken newspaper. “It is the first time in Denmark that an arrested individual has been trained, and the odds of success increases greatly the moment that one is operationally capable.”...

“It is the belief of PET that a concrete terror action has been prevented with these arrests," PET wrote on its website. “And the arrests do not change the assessment of the terror threat level in Denmark, which is still viewed as being serious.”

Meanwhile, the umbrella organisation for 13 Somali associations, AarhuSomali, was shocked about the terror plans and have vowed to help the authorities any way they can.

“I am concerned, shocked and sad about the situation concerning two young Somali brothers arrested for terror,” AarhuSomali spokesman Abdirahman M. Lidle told Ekstra Bladet tabloid. “We want the case to be solved and will help any way we can.”

Despite several enquiries in the Somali community, no information has surfaced about the two arrested brothers.

How odd! I thought they wanted to help any way they could!

What do Muslims and Socialists have in common? Well, first of all, they both define themselves by having pity toward Muslims. And, of course, the Jeeews -- not inbreeding (here, here), constant Palestinian aggression and violence, Palestinian schools teaching kids to be suicide bombers or the Quran -- must be blamed.

We are still waiting for the Left to demand that goods from occupied Tibet should be labelled. But then again, China is too big to fight, and they are socialists, too... We are also still waiting for the Left to demand labelling of halal goods. But then again, Muslims vote for the Left and will lose income if we infidel consumers are able to see the difference...

Translated from Danish by Nicolai Sennels, Politiken May 18: "Goods from Israeli settlements will be labelled". One more reason for Muslims to vote for the Left:

It must be crystal clear to Danish consumers if they are standing with a product from an Israeli settlement in their hands. This is the message from Secretary of State Villy Søvndal (Socialist Peoples' Party), who will introduce a labeling system for all goods imported from the settlements, 'which are illegal according to international law'. Denmark thereby tightens this new EU law (more than other countries).

"This is a step that clearly demonstrates to consumers that these products are produced under conditions that not only the Danish government, but also European governments, are against. And so it is up to the consumers whether they want to purchase the goods or not," said Søvndal.

Labelling is not mandatory to Danish supermarkets. But the Secretary of State firmly believes that Danish supermarkets will show their goodwill, and Søvndal refers to Britain, which for years has had a similar arrangement "with great success." Søvndal is also confident that the Israeli settlements arouse a lot of anger among the consumers and that the consumers will change their behavior.

"I am certain that the labelling will have a very significant and direct impact on imports."
