A MINIBUS used to transport children to a Jewish school in the eastern French city of Strasbourg was set alight Sunday night, police said today.A few hours earlier assailants hurled stones at the door of a synagogue in the same city.
"Several factors make me think these are anti-Semitic acts," said Pierre Levy, regional delegate of the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France (CRIF).
"What is worrying is that the incidents tend to happen after demonstrations," he said.
On Saturday around 20,000 Muslims demonstrated around France against a proposed ban on the Islamic headscarf in schools. The marches were organised by the Strasbourg-based Party of French Muslims, whose opponents accuse it of being anti-Semitic.

Of course after demonstrations such antisemitic acts will take place. They are de rigueur, when one feels "humiliated." In 1933, a few months after the British finally left Iraq, the Arabs let off steam at their long years of occupation by massacring nearly 100,000 Christian Assyrians. In Fallujah, as was posted on your website, Arabs unable to oppose the more powerful Americans have taken out their "humiliation" on some local Mandeans (a Gnostic sect whose remaining followers, a mere tens of thousands, are largely in Iraq), forcing 35 families to "convert" to Islam, kidnapping Mandean women and giving them as human loot to Muslim "husbands," and burning to death a 7-year-old Mandean boy (not a word in the Western press about any of this). Elsewhere in Iraq precious Mandean manuscripts, thousands of years old, have just been destroyed by Muslims. If you can't attack (as yet) the Western Christians head on, by all means Jews, Mandeans, Assyrians, Maronites, Copts will do by way of warmup.
