From Compass Direct:

Security forces in the government-controlled state of Upper Nile in southern Sudan disrupted the construction of an Anglican church school in Renk last week, halting the builders and detaining the diocesan building supervisor for four days.

Claiming that the Episcopal Church of Sudan (ECS) school site had been earmarked for use by an Islamic non-governmental organization, members of the security forces came to the site on March 10 and forced the builders to stop work.

Try as they might, Muslims will never be able to halt the spread of Christianity. In the end, there will be only One and that will be the Cross.

That kind of rhetoric, Helen, is not terribly reflective; it will not accomplish anything but make Islamic practitioners feel unecessarily threatened by the sentiment which has found a home in you. You are better than that. It is also uncharitably objectifying in making Muslims merely a faceless group, without emphasizing their potential as bearing the Image of God (if any do not bear his Likeness, however, this they can remedy, and may desire to if you are a Living Icon embodying the Father's Word to them). It is not befitting a child of the Triune God. I speak as a Christian, and though I am not happy with many Islamic-based activity that I read about, I cannot join my voice with yours in this "the Muslims will be crushed" type rallying cry. I await the Holy One's transfiguration of the world at the consummation, but I fix my gaze on the New Creation, working and praying in the direction of my Hope - not getting distracted by another path that would recast the enemy as the Muslim, which it is not. I would advise you to do the same. That does not mean you cannot speak up when evil things are done by men (and women), falsely under the divine Name. But Enemy-occupied territory is not the Enemy. As the Master effectively said to his hearers and apostles: not Rome, but the Accuser is the real problem.
