If the Christian 10 Commandments are banned from a Court House in Georgia why would the preaching of a religion, which is exactly what the call to prayer is, be fine when broadcast 5 times a day into every building, be it Gov't, commercial or residential, via the Airwaves??

Why can't the muslims create a radio station, then the calls for prayer could be tuned in or OUT as each resident wishes?

Another question is why aren't the folks at the ACLU screaming their heads off?? Isn't this exactly what the Founding Fathers warned about? Government getting involved in religious issues? If this is not establishing a religious tenent for the muslims I do not know what it is!

Thank God the Hamtramck Christians have some conviction left to their soul bones.

That’s more than can be said for the Episcopal Church of America and the Presbyterian Church (USA) contingent out to baptize same-gender "marriages."

That’s more than can be said for America’s liberal media giving us the daily shaft.

That’s more than can be said for the United Methodist lobbyists conventioning in Pittsburgh, endorsing homosexual lifestyles.

That’s more than can be said for the United Church of Christ that sold its soul to hell along with the Unitarian-Universalists when supporting euthanasia, homosexual lifestyle and abortion on request.

So there really are Christians who have spines? It appears so. Not all Hamtramck, Michigan is going to bow down to Muslim intrusion. After all, some of those citizens realize that Muslim cells are being planted throughout North America.

With that, the Koran — unholy writ from the pit — is being propagated as religious devotional literature. Clerics are being staged as "the new clergyman come to town." And the mosque is put up as the latest spiritual haven for prayer and solitude.

In reality, as the Hamtramck Christians know all too well, this Muslim public relations bit is nothing more than another headway for Islam world take. It’s the intent of the Allah worshipers to see through their global grab, America not being absented from the agenda. So to middle America the Muslims have trekked to plant their "kind, cordial faith."

But, according to Cecil Angel of the Free Press, "Petition to target prayer call law" is the headline of the day.

"A petition drive began Friday to stop a new law that will allow mosques in Hamtramck to broadcast the Muslim call to prayer over loudspeakers. Organizers say they are certain they'll get the required 552 signatures to force the City Council to reverse its April 27 decision.

"’There are some people, including Muslims, who don't want the call to prayer,’ said resident Robert Zwolak, 63. ‘The ballot box is the best place for people to voice their opinion.’

"If the campaign gets enough signatures and the council refuses to reverse its decision, the ordinance would be suspended automatically. It would then become a ballot issue, according to the city charter.

"But for now, the ordinance, which goes into effect May 26, has created tension mostly between the city's Muslims and Polish Catholics."

This modus operandi is what must occur everywhere. If America is to stop the Islamic killers international, they must buck up to fact. Islam is a religion from hell. Its deity is Satan. Its cleric roster is composed of violence instigators — wolves in sheep garb. Its religious book is a mix-and-match of sweet sentences and killing passages. Read and beware:

There is no need for a call to prayer. This is yet another example of Islam stepping on toes of American cities.

The city councilmuslim doesn't seem to be too concerned with the voice of the town he supposedly represents, only with Islam is he concerned.

This call to prayer needs to be eliminated. Church and State are separate here and town council had no business giving permission for anything like this.

If you read Canadian newspapers online you'll realize that CSIS (Canadian Security and Intelligence Service) and the RCMP have been working hand in glove with American and other Western intelligence agencies to fight muslim terror...as has our military in Afghanistan (particularly JTF2, the special forces)who were in Afghanistan in early October, 2001.

The word needs to get out that Islam is not a religion...it is a political idealogy much akin to communism. The faster people understand this, the more defenses we will have to fight it.

This present a serious legal problem. Under the old common law, landowners who were annoyed by the sound arising from the mosque would have a strong case of nuisance.

What is unfortunate is that some federal legislation was passed by people from the Christian and Jewish faith which limited the ability of local governments to apply muncipal law to religious institutions. They meant well, they were upset about a zoning law which prohibited the building of an unobstrusive and very quiet religious building in a residential area. The federal law gave more rights to religious groups and limited the power of government.

This is really an unfortunate development because it may well be used by Muslims in cases in which municipal law attempts to limit their activities.

I would therefore warn my enthusiastic Christian friends to remember that when government is forced to bend rules in favor of religion is probably Islam that has the most to gain in America.

Again, there is a need for a strong legal defense group which can go forward and represent people in Hamtranck and act as a counterforce to CAIR.

ACLU has almost completely become the arm of CAIR. I have tried to explain what is going on to some of my liberal friends that still send money to the ACLU, when they really focus on it they are horrified. Too many people see the ACLU as a bulwark of the old, legitimate civil rights movement. Those days are over. I am sure that Saudi money is making sure that nearly every ACLU chapter has Islamic members and those members make sure CAIR policy is given weight.

Everyone seems to be talking about justice and how secular america is. I think the political correctness that has gripped the western world makes them say so. Two or three lines in all the comments i have seen it starts making a poin that America is for Christians. Bells from the church are ok but any sort of Noise from other religious institutions will not be tolerated and the utmost contempt to other's faith seems to be a fashion statement.

Just some food for thought as people here has been talking about how violent Islam is. If Christianity( as people has named it after prophet Jesus (peace be upon him)) is such a peace loving religion, then why crusaders and crusades ( or was that another Arab conspiracy for naming and shaming the christians).

If you really believe that a just opinion is one which is developed based on studying the actual source. Read Kuran with a neutral mind and you will find dedicated chapters praising prophets from as early time as Noah->Abraham->Moses-Jesus and Mary(mother of Jesus) peace be upon all of them.
