Ali Sina, a courageous and admirable anti-jihadist, has received this death threat at www.faithfreedom.org. Why? Perhaps because he is an ex-Muslim, and the Sharia mandates death for ex-Muslims.
Helo, Did u see the video of the american that was beheaded in Iraq??Thats what gonna happen to you when i and my friends are gonna catch u.We are currently working on finding information about you,one of my friends is a computer genius.I have gathered muslims all over the world to dispatch any of them to your location.Once u have been beheaded we will use your head to play soccer and your body will be cut into pieces and fed to the dogs.Shut down this website, then we shall not kill you.I give you 1 month to think about it.Make your decision wisely.
Although I was never a Muslim, I have gotten a few choice messages myself today ("Stupid fool, dirty squirming rat" was one repeatable phrase) — but I am not posting this just to give publicity to a death threat. Rather, it is to call attention to the very real danger that converts from Islam must live with. They must live with a legally sanctioned death sentence as a price for their freedom of conscience. Remember that the next time Karen Armstrong or John Esposito start talking about Islam's wonderful legacy of tolerance and respect for human rights.

Mr sina
if you are reading this stay strong
I second Jimmytheclaw's sentiments.
I am rooting for you, Mr. Sina. Keep up the good work.
Posted by: Mentat at May 12, 2004 5:20 PMWell, if somebody ever doubts what prominent ex-Muslims like Ali Sina or Ibn Warraq face, send them this link:

Posted by: Ali Dashti at May 12, 2004 6:44 PMObviously, this brave man hit a nerve...
Posted by: jawa at May 12, 2004 7:38 PMIt doesn't sound like that guy knows too many geniuses, computer or otherwise. But I pray for your safety. You're a free thinker. You ought to be on 60 Minutes.
Posted by: Luigi at May 12, 2004 9:05 PMWe should only fear fear itself. FDR said something like this, and there isn't a better time to use it then now.
My best wishes to Mr Sina and to you, Mr Spencer. You are obviously a man of great courage, and your work is absolutely priceless (especially in the days of suicidal PC hypocrisy we live in). I can assure you that thanks to people like you, many are now starting to open their eyes.
Posted by: alex at May 12, 2004 9:07 PMerm...JFK said that. minor quibble.
I'd take a Death Threat as a sign of victory, honestly. It means you're doing the Right Thing. Making progress and all by giving as good as you get.
Posted by: urthshu at May 13, 2004 12:01 AMThis comment ties in, bear with me.
Last week CBS 60 minutes did a feature on a Muslim-British woman of Pakistani background. She presented herself as a "devout" Muslim but wore a hijab only sporadically. She also made her living as a stand-up comic. This woman was interviewed by Ed Bradley who threw her so many softball questions that I that thought the next question out of his mouth would be a marriage proposal.
In any event, she stuck her chin out and declared how brave she had been to do this unconventional thing--be a stand-up comic. Her proof was that she had received negative responses to her work from Muslims and non-Muslims. The negative response she got from a non-Muslim was that a member of her audience "shook his head in disagreement or disgust at something" she said in her routine. The negative response from her lovely Muslim community was repeated threats to stone her, throw acid on her face or kill her. She had to hide what she was doing from her father, who only relented after she had become a national success.
This woman chided certain aspects of British society, such as the high rate of illegitimate births, but, she freely admitted that it was only her wonderful Muslim ummah who threated her life. She is still a devout Muslim with an aire of moral superiority.
Gotta love em!!
Posted by: Athena at May 13, 2004 12:13 AMDoes anyone know if Mr. Sina has reported this to the authorities?? And he should also let the secular press know about it too??
It's about time Islam started getting the full exposure of its brutal doctrines!!!
Keep safe old friend...
From Devon Hill
Posted by: Devon Hill at May 13, 2004 12:13 AMIn this monograph on Islam and human rights,
http://isesco.org.ma/pub/Eng/humanrights/hr.htm
we find the statement that there are only two provisions of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that cannot be squared with Islam. One being the freedom of a Muslim to renounce his or her faith, and the other being the freedom of a Muslim woman to marry a non-Muslim.
http://isesco.org.ma/pub/Eng/humanrights/page3.htm
The argument being presented is that human rights is an Islamic invention, not a Western concept.
They cannot kill everyone who makes a website exposing Islam, there are many out there, not to mention all the blogs, and all the commentors on the blogs.
The internet itself is their enemy, not Ali Sina.
In any matter, yes, how can a religion that seeks death for people who chose not to be a Muslim, be called peaceful? It's defies common sense.
When will people realise that Islam is nothing more that an evil plan by a 7th century man who wanted power and sex and war booty and used God as a way to achieve it?
To urthshu:
The sentence was said by FDR, not JFK

“Nothing to Fear but Fear Itself”: FDR’s First Inaugural Address"
I know it was FDR because I heard that speech (you can download the audio file from that page). I said those words to bring courage to the American people after the Great Depression.
Correction: "He said" (not "I said")
Posted by: alex at May 13, 2004 8:23 AMClearly there has been a missunderstanding here for as we all know islam is a religion of peace......isnt it ? yeah it is, honest it is, the left and the media tell us all the time that it is .........say what ? you dont believe them, why? just because its followers blow the WTC away and its leaders anywhere in the world its dark shadow falls on the surface of the earth, promote and incite mass murder and killing at every opportunity so as to ensure its followers entry to "heaven" thats NO reason to doubt that the cult of islam is not a Rel....(no I will NEVER use that word again in describing islam)
...thats NO reason to to doubt that the CULT of islam is not a CULT of peace ......well is it?
Yeah you are right actually I dont believe it either.........and neither do THEY
WAKE up NON MUSLIMS before its TOO late.
Kevin.
These death threats are getting a little scary. I hope our country wakes up and sees that the camel's nose is under the tent. Great job Ali Sina.
Posted by: Lively at May 13, 2004 8:47 AMI will pray for Ali Sina. Some newspapers are addmiting that the islamic powers that be are worried because they are rapidly losing the cover of ignorance they have carefully laid over the American people. Everyone keep up the excellent work!!!! More and more people are seeing islam for what it is: a joke.
Posted by: KAMA at May 13, 2004 8:50 AMAnyone of true faith will not hate others, regardless of the opinions expoused. Faith in "goodness" trancsends the human EGO.
The very fact that these people "hate", reveals their own darkened souls.
An atheist/agnostic who treats others well is preferred over any religous person who hates others. Preferred by whom? Well, by the very source of comparison itself!
Posted by: porkeater at May 13, 2004 10:35 AMYou can judge the character of a man by his enemies.
This guy sounded like a harmless blowhard.
WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT ??
May I suggest this and I know it works because I have tried it.
1/Fax Bureaus
you know the small little kiosk shop things
type out a fax with the heading
DEATH THREAT TO JOURNALIST AND COMMENTATOR
PROVIDE THE DETAILS
IN THE BODY
Then fax it to as many newspaper/media orgs as possible
If they try to trace you they will get the fax bureau.
E mails are easy to delete. Faxes are not especially with headline like that.
2/THIS REALLY DOES WORK I HAVE SEEN MY EFFORTS REWARDED IN A SUNDAY PAPER WITH A VERY WIDE READERSHIP.
IT TAKES TIME BUT IT IS WORTHWHILE
KEEP AN EYE A VERY CRITICAL EYE THAT IS ON THE TONE OF JOURNALIST A CRITICAL WORD/TONE ABOUT ISLAM/ARABS.
then send them links to stories from this site and others. I have e mailed 2 stories from this site and they both got a mention in the Mail on Sunday in the UK.
Not all journo's are politically correct cowards.
this guy isn't:
www.peterhitchens.com/
GET FAXING AND E MAILING AND TELEPHONE CALLING
Posted by: Apostate_islam at May 13, 2004 10:39 AMHopefully Ali Sina is a psuedonym, hopefully he has a friend who is a computer genius as well. I also hope that Sina has "covered his tracks" so that his (or her?) real identity will never be revealed.
Sina's blog, www.faithfreedom.org is an EXCELLENT website, not quite as scholarly as secularislam.org, but still great. Check out the link to the Mohamed comic book... hilarious!
Posted by: KEITHJOY at May 13, 2004 11:48 AMI have been a faithfull, long time supporter of "Ali- Sina" (Ficticious name) and his effort to inform Muslims. I know he is quite well protected, he knows the dangers of Islam quite well. Faithfreedom.org is an organization and he is an annonymous contributor. They will never be able to find out who he is. Don't forget to visit his forum, it is much improved over the old one.
Posted by: Nathan at May 13, 2004 1:22 PMKevin, Islam is such that, no matter how "bad" a muslim you are, ie, not praying, or following the sharia rules, killing a fellow muslim etc.
All is redeemed if you kill a infidel. That act erases all your sins, and guarantees your spot in Muhammad's brothel.
Nathan:
If you feel so inclined, could you please pop over to the "The Beheading of an Innocent" thread and deal with Hala and Waleed? I can't quote the Qu'ran chapter and verse like you can, and they don't respond to rational arguments.
Posted by: CGW at May 13, 2004 2:55 PMAli Sina, I am a huge fan, I have spread your site to all my non-muslim friends. I hope you have responded to the comments made about you and your site on www.examinethetruth.com. Best of luck in your cause, I wish there were more like you.
