Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a very brave woman, since she's one of the few people in the Netherlands who is 'fighting' for the emancipation of female immigrants (especially female muslims) and who has the bravery to criticize the (fundamentalistic) Islam.

But in Holland, many people still have the opinion that it's a taboo to critizise Islam. Many islamitic organisations in Holland and also many of our political parties (the christian-democrats and the social-democrats) try to frustrate her work for the emancipation of female immigrants and human rights.

But the most worst danger is muslims and radical anarchists are threatening her. One year ago, she had to go into hiding, because some mujahedeen wanted to murder her. Yes people, thats what's happened with the freedom of speech in the Netherlands. Very strange if you know Holland was probably the first country in the world who recognized the freedom of speech!

So, there are only few who can match Hirsi Ali in bravery, and I'll hope she'll never give up, for she's fighting for the right cause.

Susan - OK, so you hit the Send button twice, but your comment was worth repeating. What a fine, brave lady. I hope no one gets up the actual nerve to hurt her - as opposed to issuing little boy bullying threats. I hope the Dutch police keep their eye on her - even if only (knowing Holland is at least as "liberal" - thought fascist - as Britain) because they think she's a trouble-maker.

Thank you this lady for refusing to be a victim! Obviously, she not only has exceptional intelligence (coming from Francophone Somalia and learning to speak fluent Dutch and English off her own bat), but she's damn' brave.

I don't know whence she came, but it's quite possible that her European language experience was in English. Then again, considering the sorry state of that region, it's quite possible she didn't receive any formal schooling in any European language while living there. Or any formal schooling period.

I'm beginning to wonder if Islam atracts all Pschopaths and sociopaths, or if the religion creates them with its pogrom.

I hope the Dutch have laws about assault similar to those we have in English Common Law countries. I'm also glad to see that Hirsi Ali, who obviously is an apostate from Islam (otherwise she would not call Muhammad a thug and pedophile), is brave enough to speak her convictions; and in so doing, expose how fatuous is the modern multi-cultie movement (I refuse to use the honorable word "cultural" in speaking of it).
